manpe 10,861
Hopefully not another case of Borini, Stoch, Di Santo and RajkovicBut shows the intent of the club once more, signing for the future... Although he is 20 and cost only €2m, I'm a bit skeptical that a really promising 20yo would cost so little.
Duppy Conqueror 1,571
for 2m Euros..it`s worth a swing of the bat. Roman probably pays that for a new sofa. :eyebrows:
TacticalBlues 2,817
Seems like a great signing Tbh, for 1.75 million for someone who's clearly talented is great. Really enjoying AVB's transfer policy, not just going for established players but investing in youth equally.
Jusek 2,031
After watching this video I gotta say that I'm quite excited of this kid. What a goal scorer he is, can score with both feet from inside or outside the box. Header is pretty decent too.

CHOULO19 24,332
Wow talk about out of the blue. Excellent, excellent prospect. Pretty much blew everyone else out of the water at the u20. Hope this is true.Actually he just signed for chelsea, so it's more like 'into the blues'!

chrismada9 1,948
I've never heard of this guy in all fairness, and if we can't even sort a work permit out for him, and we're loaning him out to somewhere else that's just rubbing salt in the wounds a little bit! lionsden 4,689
I hate to spoil the party but until I see more clear evidence of youth development and integration ala John terry, I wouldn't get my hopes high. We have invested heavily in our academy over the past 5 years and the productivity and end result so far has fallen short of expectation. It's not just about buying, there must be a genuine purpose and vision which we have lacked over the years.

I mean, Frank Arnesen is like a dirty snake with us at the moment, stealing a lot of our players. Mancienne, Sala, Tore and now Rajkovic have all gone to Hamburg because of the fact that our youth development in recent years have been non-existant. You tend to question the idea of the likes of signing Piazon because you don't know if he's really going to be a big hit. We signed Di Santo, who everyone said was full of promise, but when he played, he had as much promise as a wet dog turd in a microwave! It's because we rely too much on our current players like Kalou and Anelka, who do fuck all for our club, rather than giving the younger generation a chance! The thing is, at Chelsea, we believe the grass is always greener on the other side. we show little faith in our youth product and would rather waste money on more finished articles.
