They wouldn't be able to afford him. I think a move to Atletico or a return to Valencia are more likely destinations.

Sevilla could probably afford him, if he doesn't cost more than 22m.

Valencia, Atletico, Sevilla (and arguably Villareal) all play with intensity, pressing and tactical discipline. I don't think Mata would fit any of those teams.

you're right actually, but then again Villareal could use a creative outlet

I'm sure Utd would be try to recoup as much as possible. £25m+ would be a probable fee.

He really should move to Spain. Villareal or Sevilla would be perfect for him.

Sevilla are a decent side but think Mata can do better than that.

Mata might not have the physical capabilities to play certain style of play but people are acting like he can't be more tactically discipline. It's definitely something that can be improved on more than the physical strengths etc.

ehh, I'm not so sure any club in the world would be willing to pay over 25m for Mata

Sevilla are actually an extremely underrated side, in my opinion they're the fourth best team in Spain.

Which still means they aren't a top top team though, considering the difference in quality between them and Real, Barca and Atletico is huge. Its like saying Southampton are the 8th best team in England or Hoffenheim are the 10th best team in Germany or whatever, sure they might be but the difference is huge still especially in Spain.

A player like Mata would play for a lot of the bigger teams in England, Spain and Germany. He'd fetch 20-25M easily.

They are a top team, maybe not a Champions League quality team but they're pretty close. I'd say they're about Mata's level, anyway.

About Mata's level?

Well what does that mean considering he was our best player for 2 years straight? Were we not a CL quality team at that time? Of course he's a CL quality player... some people seem to think hes shit now a days that he doesn't play for us but he was playing better than Silva was for City in his first 2 years in the PL.

Not a CL quality team but about Mata's level jesus

Villarreal could potentially challenge for the title next season and Mata would only make them better.

Once Cheryshev goes back to Real, Villareal could use Mata as that supporting striker/ attacking midfielder.

he would do well at teams like Juventus, Everton, Man City, Roma, Inter, Marseille, Lyon, Lazio and PSG

But i dont really care about him anyway, he got exposed here under Mourinho, now instead of chasing the money he needs to pick his next club carefully.

Says you

Where would he play on PSG? Juventus?

PSG already have cavani, lavezzi and zlatan with lucas moura as well.

At juve, they still have morata, llorente and tevez. They also have an option to sign pereyra long term

I guess Monaco is reasonable, however, they already have a set piece specialist in moutinho and signed silva this winter. WIth falcao coming back from loan, where can mata start? Also, berbatov is at monaco as well.

PSG maybe not, but at Juve he could play as a second striker, possibly with Tevez? When Mata is on form he is WORLD CLASS. Don't understand where this whole "he can't play at a big club" hooha is coming from.

They also went on and got morata.

Mata wouldn't have a role on the juve squad.
