Strange how no British newspapers have reported that we have had a offer accepted or are in negotiations with Valencia, anyone else reckon this could be another rumor even though we need someone like Mata to provide width in the team and maybe to spark Torres previous form.

Please, fuck off the spark Torres form thing.

We need players to improve our team. Torres can gently sit on the bech if he can add a anything special.

Here's my contribution to the bonfire of rumors surround Mata coming to us: Ian Darke said during the Gooners-Scousers match that he will sign on Monday. Hope it's true, but wouldn't be surprised if it is not.

Didnt see this myself so I'll C&P off cfcnet, again:

The guy on Sky's transfer zone has just said that their sources in Spain have said that the deal is "as good as done" and mentioned that personal terms have already been agreed in a deal worth around £25 million. Mata is very much looking forward to it.

Again, most of us already knew this yesterday, but at least Sky have started to mention it now.

Their "source" is probably Guillem as it sounded just like what he Tweeted the other night, lol.

About that quote DavidEU, is there like a youtube abbreviation of this??

I doubt it. They repeat the transfer zone feature about twice an hour though on SSN, so just keep watching?

Like I said, I just saw that post on CFCnet and thought it was worth reposting.

Valencia star Juan Mata has insisted he has not asked for a transfer, despite reports indicating he is to sign for Chelsea in the next few days.

Valencia star Juan Mata : "Moving can certainly be a positive experience but the truth is I do not know when I will. I have not raised the issue", he admitted. The day I left Madrid for Valencia was very important, with that fear in you that things may not go well. I have grown a lot as a player here and, frankly, I think I can keep growing."
