It remains to be seen how he does in games where teams defend deeper, although he's got a knack for finding space in crowded penalty areas and taking chances well. zolayes 14,489
he was bad??? what match did people watch. a tap-in but a goal nonetheless, good hold up play coupled with 2 very good chances created for barkley. he was probably everton's best attacker on the pitch considering how poor pienaar n barkley were.I think you and I watched the same game ,,,not sure about some didierforever
johnnythefirst 1,076
but the question is, is he ready to accept only that?Every time I read his interview he comes off as really arrogant (maybe it's just my feeling and I'm wrong), as if he's one of the very best strikers in the world - when he isn't one of the best even in the league if you ask me.He feels he's entitled to play Champions League after everything he's done. Pray and tell what is he talking about? what has he ever done that makes him feel that he's earned it? A lot of players play the UCL for their clubs in other countries and they're really bad. I don't think one has to do anything to earn to play UCL, you just have to be at the right place, at the right time; but FFS the boy has done nothing but have a very good season scoring for WBA. I don't know how many goals he has this season for Everton in the EPL, but I'm not impressed (haven't seen many Everton matches, so I'm talking only statistically) but based in all the shit he was saying earlier the season that he'd outscore all Chelsea's strikers, that he's this and he's that, that he's earned UCL, I'd expect a lot more result and for god's sake, a lot less words. He just needs to shut it.I've never been convinced by him as a footballer, especially one that fits us under Mourinho, but I've always been willing to know him better and then be fair, but I have to say, more often than not I just want to say, 'shut the fuck up, already'. He's making me dislike him in a certain way because of the never-ending amount of shit he spouts. It's the gift that keeps coming with him.I hope when he's here that he develops into a great player, but I also hope Chelsea never allow a microphone near him either. If you twist his words just a tiny bit more, you'll say he said he can walk on rainbows and crap gold. This guy wants to BECOME one of the best strikers in the world. He WANTS to play Champions League. He WANTS to outscore the Chelsea strikers to prove he's worth putting in the team. Never did he say he was the world's greatest or entitled to whatever. FFs, he idolizes practically every world class striker of today. He just doesn't want to spend another season on the bench, which is a reasonable dream. A lot of players want to succeed and be among the top. They speak half Lukaku does, starting with for example, Daniel. He thinks of himself more than he is that much is clear. And he isn't alone it seems.Hopefully someday he becomes the player he and others think he already is, arrogance or not.Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 4G using Tapatalk
johnnythefirst 1,076
Another thing I don't get is people on a website completely built on opinions disliking players solely because they give their opinions. Everyone should be able to say whatever the hell he/she wants. Words don't hurt. But that's a completely different matter. I wonder what my bosses would think if i spoke publicly everything in my mind... especially if the job description included interviews. Yep, just the same context... and as this is part of his job it's definitely something he should be judged for imoSent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 4G using Tapatalk
didierforever 7,349
and as this is part of his job it's definitely something he should be judged for imoSent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 4G using TapatalkHonestly speaking, lukaku can come out tomorrow and say "I am coo-coo for cocoa puffs" and it simply would not matter if he can perform well on the pitch. And so far he has done better than our existing 3. In 1577 minutes of league action, he has scored 10 goals. Our strikers have scored 14 goals combined (etoo-7, torres-4 and ba-3) (3 out of those 14 were in the last match though) in 2660 minutes of combined action (etoo-1202, torres-1124, ba-334). Lukaku scores a goal every 157.7minutes while our stikers score a goal every 190 minutes (which was an EMBARASSING 233.3 minutes before the last match). So if he can continue to score goals on the pitch, perform and continue his development. I won't give any attention to what he says. communicate 2,703
I think he will play for us next season. I am not sure whether as no 1 striker or not. But I agree with some of you that he need to stop talking to media or get a pr coach somewhere.
Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted March 14, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted March 14, 2014 I've said it before but this guy would be one of the best number 2 strikers in the league, his impact off the bench is absolutely devastating. He's going to be an important player for us in that aspect next season. Reddish-Blue, zolayes, nyikolajevics and 7 others

Either everyone has freedom of speech, or nobody has. This is quite a vital freedom of the society we live in. His 'boss' on the other hand is free to fire him over it as far as I'm concerned, if he really can't handle his naughty naughty words. I'm sure he'll find another job somewhere in either some sports bar or lets see, basically every other club in the league. What's next, telling Zlatan to shut up and behave? Football would become quite a boring game indeed.
