Certainly a precaution.

They thought he was fine immediately after the incident, but he felt dizzy afterwards. It's sensible to have a scan obviously.

He might miss a couple of matches, again as precaution, and we will have to settle with Petr Cech... :)

I'm not sure why he was allowed to carry on after the knock. Not the first time Eva is doing that. I remember her allowing van Ginkel to continue after he did his ACL. Safety first at all times please.

I think it's more the players telling them they are fine and trying to soldier on only to realize they need to go off

Also hope he won't be afraid of going out from now on

Still, she's a professional doctor. Of course the players are going to say they're okay.

Exactly. She has a degree in medicine and a masters in sports medicine. I doubt very much she would have let him continue if she didn't know for sure he was ok. The fact that he obviously deteriorated soon after the incident is something she couldn't have predicted and criticising her is frankly asinine.
