Fine you want to play for Real Madrid, ok.  Be closer to your family, totally understandable. 

 

But I think Chelsea has been more than fair to him.  Displaced a club legend to make him the #1.  Two league titles plus an FA Cup in three years.  If these reports are true he should've handled this much differently IMO.

I fear we are heading for the same direction with Eden Hazard next summer. Eden being much more valuable.

If he wanted to leave he is the first one to act by submitting a transfer request, he hasn’t done this in all these “years” he wanted to leave. Has he ever told the club he wanted to leave officially? Doubtful or we wouldn’t have Sarri saying he wants to talk to him face to face. 

He tried to be clever and play games, making stupid sly digs in the media etc. While he has a year left and there is no transfer request, we call the shots.

His head is already somewhere else, he no longer cares about this club. Which means he simply cannot be our number one anymore. He will be sold considering the penny pinching board. Can you imagine them facing Courtois leaving for free next summer? Never going to happen. He is leaving and it is down to the board to bring in a proper replacement. Imagine having Caballero on one end of the field and Morata on the other. Depressing.

When has he ever made it clear ? It’s not clear until he submits a transfer request... He’s made hints to the media, how disrespectful is it to post a few days ago that you can’t wait to be back and not show up to training. Proves what kind of person he is.

Agreed but he’s probably going to be doing that anyway with a stop gap panic buy goalkeeper.

I wouldn't see Butland as a stop gap, but rather a stupid risk, after going all out and failing to sign Allison.
