I praised him when he was exceptional like against Liverpool or PSG away but also don't think he's any better than Cech atm. Only reason he is playing has already been repeated enough.

Enlight me what's the reason.

Mourinho currently plays things as conservatively as it is possible, he doesn't want to risk at all, only hides in his comfort zone. That's why he plays Cahill over Zouma, doesn't drop Ivanovic, doesn't rotate Matic, Fabregas or Oscar despite all three of them being clearly off form for months, supposedly protects RLC and doesn't give youth even a spot on the bench ... And yet Courtois is part of his comfort zone IN THE PRESENT TIME.

Did what he had to do today, and did it very well. Swept well (good to see the Adam goal didn't affect his confidence in his starting position) - he was his usual commanding self coming out to catch balls.

If I'm being super critical, I thought maybe he should have come to collect that time when Cahill was calling him out and he didn't come, forcing a scrambled clearance, but he was basically faultless otherwise.

How many games is that now that he's been our MOTM and the major reason why we won or didn't lose a game. He's the difference between us and Arsenal at the moment because without his and Cech's amazing saves this season, we are easily fighting for top 4 instead of running away with the league. It just shows how average we have been defensively and overall as a team for huge portions of the season.

Splendid performance from him this game. He has great confidence in himself and I think he bounces from mistakes really quickly.

I do think we look a bit nervier with him in goal instead of Cech, but probably cos he isn't so comfortable in marshaling an experienced backline yet since he is new to the team.

Yeah, he has said this before in an interview: "Terry is the big boss of the defenders, so I leave the defensive coaching up to him for the biggest part. As a 22 year old newcomer I can't tell John Terry how he has to run."
