zolayes 14,489
this buying then loaning out at once drives me crazy ...and why to Madrid ,,,if we must loan him out ,,why not in England
Guest justin_3d
'Set' for AthleticoThis sounds good.If he is going to A. Madrid then we might be doing some more business with them.
kwylino 329
Hope the wishful thinking bout aguero is true but it probably wont be lol but rather good to hear of the loan move. should hopefully give asenjo stiff competition and hopefully this will work out so we can get well if he already is someone better than turnbull
TomCFC 357
Great news - he can get first team experience with Athletico before replacing Cech in a few years. He's only a year younger than his predecessor De Gea, who has moved to United, which is interesting.

EskWeston 696
Would have prefered to keep him around as back up rather than turnbull or Hilario to be honest. We don't seem able of having young players as squad players giving them the chance to fight for a starting spot.... However Atletico will be a good loan for him. We have some good young keepers around on loan Taylor, Delac, Walker and Blackman going away with the first team on tour.....

Kostas 1,468
I presume there is a minimum of appearances in the contract otherwise we wouldn't have loaned him. But don't Atletico trust Asenjo at all?

But don't Atletico trust Asenjo at all?The thing with kids is you can never be sure, about the sustained level of performances. That is why they had both of them(Asenjo and De Gea) for 2009-10. Only when De Gea emerged as the sure shot replacement for Roberto (Franco in the long term), did they loan out Asenjo. They did the same two GK module with Franco and Coupet.
