U21 coach Dermot Drummy says Nathan Ake and George Saville are travelling to Prague after their match....but in regards to Marin, he says Marin was required to play 60 mins for 1st team requirements. No mention of Marin going to Prague. Go figure.

Maybe it should read Dermot DUMMY....

I think I'd change my mind about him if he was deployed on the right wing instead of left. Does anyone know why he's always deployed on the left anyway? That puts him on his weak foot, which of course means he does that predictable cut-in and shoot nonsense. Surely we'd see better from him playing on his right foot so he can take on opposition players with more confidence and precision and start floating in crosses? He's got a decent work rate too, so him and Azpi would probably form an alright partnership in my mind.

Spot on Leif...

Cole + Hazard on left and either Azip+Marin / Moses on right... building good solid partnerships and getting the ball into BA / Torres...

Wish BA was eligible for Europe...

Had a good first half but was terrible in the second, kept making bad decision after the other. Trying too hard may be. I think he should start against Brentford. Give a him a run of games to see if he improves.

He is best suited to play on the LW actually as that is his best position. Playing on the RW doesn't seem to suit him too much as we have seen against QPR and Brentford. Do agree that he is a little bit predictable by always coming inside from the left. He needs to get to the byline a bit more to give us some width and offers more threat upfront.

It is surprising that he always chooses to cut inside. He has shown that he is capable of producing good crosses. You'd think the manager would tell him just that.

I like Marin, but when Chelsea paid Werder to get him, Bundesliga bloggers I read were laughing at Chelsea for paying more than he was worth, that he was overhyped. That Werder Bremen practically packed Marin's bags for him. I rooted for Marin to outshine Moses but Marin can't even sub in over Oscar to play out wide vs West Ham. Marin needs a loan to jumpstart his career if he still dreams of playing for Germany's NT and I doubt he ever returns.

Why do you think that? Any source? I think it would be dumb to sell him, he is very talented and with some more time on the pitch he could become a good rotation/start player.

Because he still has a slight chance of making the German national team if he goes somewhere he will play.....consistently.

He wont do that here, and everyone knows it. Even if we ignore the people in front of him(Mazacaroses) we still have a kid on loan who plays the position he would better than him(Barring the possibility we decide to turn KDB into a pivot player, which we have no idea how it would work).

For his own sake he needs to go.

I think he should be getting more time as a rotation player for Oscar and Hazard. I personally feel that he contributes with more speed and better wokrate than Oscar sometimes.Still, I am just puzzled why he isn't even on the bench... does he have a new injury or something?
