Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

At least AVB seems to be a progressive coach with his eye on the future, Ancelotti was a manager best known for keeping an ancient AC Milan team together for far too long.

Credit to Carlo however, he won us a Premier League title!

And the FA Cup

Know its in the past but so annoying thinking about the whole Jose sacking..had that never happened we wouldnt have been in this situation and may still have him as a Manager...and after that mistake after mistake by the board...

Im not taking credit away from Carlo, he did very well to squeeze one last title winning performance from that squad. However I've always felt confident that he wasn't the right man to take us forward and rebuild the squad and stamp a different style on a squad of his making.

With Ancelotti when his teams click they are a joy to watch, Stoke 7-0 was the best ive ever seen us play.

But last season he did let the grass grow under his feet a bit, and why did he name lineups in the press conference? straight away gave managers the upper hand.

I did want him to get this season to turn it around but he didn;t get the chance and whether he would have and whether we would have done better this season then what we are right now well i guess were never know.

I find this funny.

Last season over half this forum were slagging Carlo off saying he is past it and fluked the double and that AVB is the man we need to guide us into a new era.

Now under AVB things are not going entirely to plan Carlo is now the messiah.

it is black humour ,,but probably saying that is a racial slur these days.

Plus his man-management was kinda off especially with the whole Torres hoop-la and the way he made Luiz a scapegoat after the Utd game was infuriating.

He didn't just 'squeeze' one last title winning performance from that squad though.. he was getting us scoring more than 6 goals a home game for a majority of the end of that winning season... 7-1 against Villa, 7-2 against Sunderland, 7-0 against Stoke, 8-0 against Wigan.... suddenly at the beginning of next season we get back to back 6-0 wins against West Brom and Wigan.... the question is.. how do you go from that, to what we have now??

I wonder what would have happened had Hiddink came back and we were in the same position as we are now.

I could just imagine the responses

"Hiddink is the same as Carlo, too stubborn to change things"

"overrated by four good months in the job before, we should have got the young, hungry AVB while we had the chance"

and so on.

Defintly! And you gotta wonder what he'd think if was offered chance to be manager 'been back here twice now to replace sacked managers...how long will i last'

I honestly can't wait till the summer when nico Alex Malouda probably drogs Nd lamps will all come out and slam avb for his man management. They will all say how it was like under his rule as compared to Carlo and Jose. Especially nico after he was snubbed from some party the squad had and he wasnt invited. I know we all wish we were that fly on the wall being able to get inside that dressing room but we'll definitely get a feel by next year.
