Hd123 5
Shit, are you Martin Lipton!? :toke:I haven't been slapped by AVB, so no.But seriously, think about it. Top six:Man U - would and should never sack ferguson even if they are relegatedMan City - great start for them, knocked out of legitimately tough CL group (I still have the opinion that they failed and should have qualified though) at this point they were doing really well in the league and were under no pressureSpuds - great startArsene - due to injuries and suspensions, with key players leaving the media went apeshit because of consecutive poor games and the 8-2AVB - young, relatively unproven and on a bad run, with a trigger happy ownerDalglish - now this one I don't particularly get. Spent a shitload on mediocre players, is only like 4 points ahead of where Roy was, and yet it's all lovely in Bindipperville. Should be heavily criticized IMO

LDN Blue 7,903
Dalglish is an awful manager, and because he bought a lot of average british players for huge prices, he's being celebrated by the media around the island. Terry made a stupid mistake in Balotelli goal and Ive read an article saying he was superb in that match and Ivanovic was poor. Lampard scored a penalty and the media is saying he is back to his old form. Ashley Cole is playing bad for too long, honestly since last season I think Ivanovic playing as a right-back add much more impact in our game than the english, but Cole is always rated with 7, 8. The press is full of people that only respect british players and managers.AVB is right to send them all to hell.Brilliant.
Laylabelle 9,534
Actually he is right to go in a war against media. The fans can criticize his bad results, but he is absolutely right to say Neville is an asshole when he say Luiz is controlled by a 10 years old boy playing a video game, because thats the kind of comment made by an asshole.'Villas-Boas should call Kenny Dalglish and ask him about the art of talking to the media when he doesn’t actually enjoy it.'Dalglish is an awful manager, and because he bought a lot of average british players for huge prices, he's being celebrated by the media around the island. Spouting a load of crap about how AVB should be more like Dalglish in press interviews yet he hasnt come across well in some of them either! And Fergie he slates and slates yet its all okay for him.Rooney goes mental...its okay he's frustated its his age....Luiz does...oh he's bad blahhh...your right it is British players they're happy to stick up for and respect!..And Neville...you think he's okay then he goes and says some complete crap!Agree with everything you've just said... strong centreback 157
Great short article from the express http://www.express.co.uk/football/view/289850/Senior-Chelsea-players-warned-Madrid-mutiny-is-not-an-option? which goes along with the idea that AVB is here long term and is going to be given time to build his new team in a new style of play (the only time you can drastically change the style of play), hopefully this is the case as I greatly admire AVB for what he is trying to introduce here and how he is starting to adapt his tactics till he can bring in his players, im gonna stick my neck out and say in january we will be selling anelka (already gone), kalou, alex and possibly one of mikel/malouda with replacements coming in for each player that leaves. Tomo 21,751
Dalglish - now this one I don't particularly get. Spent a shitload on mediocre players, is only like 4 points ahead of where Roy was, and yet it's all lovely in Bindipperville. Should be heavily criticized IMODalglish for me is the most over-rated manager on this planet i don't rate him at-all.Spent the best part of £100m and can't get his side above 2 "cirisis clubs" in Arsenal and Chelsea. Suarez aside his transfer deals have been terrible. With Gerrard out Raul Meireles would have been a vital player for them this season bar Gerrard was their best player by a country mile but Kenny drops him to accomodate Henderson and Adam Dalglish is slowly destroying Liverpool beyond repair and the funny thing is their fans don't even realise it He fucked Newcastle up aswell taking a title challenging side and finishing 13th.He might have a good record against us ill give him that but he can't be deemed a great manager on that alone.End of the day while Kenny is at Liverpool more shite English players will be coming in and Liverpool will be firther in the poo so as far as im concerned in Kenny i trust. warnie_666 1,081
1. but he is absolutely right to say Neville is an asshole when he say Luiz is controlled by a 10 years old boy playing a video game, because thats the kind of comment made by an asshole.2. Terry made a stupid mistake in Balotelli goal and Ive read an article saying he was superb in that match and Ivanovic was poor. Lampard scored a penalty and the media is saying he is back to his old form.1. Just cus he is brazilian doesnt mean he isnt erratic. Luiz is very rash, and Neville and the media is right when they say that about him. I wouldnt bet my life on Luiz like I did on Carvalho to defend a goal. Hell I would even put Ivanovic ahead of Luiz.2. So now that Media praises Terry and Lampard we still have a problem with it. It was Ivanovic who decided to turn the wrong way for the Balotelli goal thereby losing few seconds on Balotelli. We always complain the media doesnt appreciate Chelsea players now that they do, we complain.Lampard just scored a penalty? Just a Penalty? What the fuck are you on? That takes big balls specially when you have been benched and everyone says you have finished. also the fact that he missed the last penalty. It takes alot of guts to step up and score a winner in the 81st minute. The media is RIGHT to say Lampard is NOT finished. He never was finsihed. It is as ridiculous as your statement when you asked AVB's head when we were losing.Stop cribbing all the time. Half of you lot crib about media not giving our players their share of plaudits now that they give, we have a problem.

DDA 9,937
It is frustrating how eratic Luiz can be but am i the only one who can see he has the ability to be the best CB or DM in the world? NO!Stop moaning about him for christ sake! At least he is passionate and plays to win every game giving 100% unlike Alex who just does his job these days and not always very well either! LDN Blue 7,903
Tomo is right. As excellent as Ricky was, he also fouled quite a bit. Never the less, his excellent defensive skills compensated for this. Luiz has all the makings to be a fantastic defender, world-class even! Brazil sees it, André sees it, Carlo saw it.Don't jump on Tomo because he said it, he wasn't saying Carvalho was rubbish or Luiz is at his level at the moment. BlueLion. 21,491
The difference is Carvalho was world class whereas Luiz barely strikes you as an invincible defender at this moment. However I have great faith he can become a great defensive stalwart for us... Luiz is part of the new breed of centre-backs... forget your Nestas and your Puyols and your Terrys; your no-nonsense, uncompromising style of player. Total football takes precedence and now and Luiz plays how many CBs will soon be expected to.
Hd123 5
If having some dribbling skills and some passing ability will make up for shitty positioning, then I want no part in this future.
Tomo 21,751
Only Liverpool and Manchester United have scored more than once against us in a one off game where Luiz has played (Levekusen aswell but Luiz went off before they scored their goals). He can't be that bad looking at things like that.He might have been a bit reckless at times but he isn't the only defender to be so and he hasn't done it nearly as much as some think, i think some here have been far too brainwashed by the media when it comes to Luiz if im being brutally honest. Hd123 5
If you're referring to my post, I don't think luiz is bad. Nor his positioning (although it is not his greatest attribute to say the least. It's his wild runs that leave gaps, I don't want to see a central defender run into the box while dribbling past 5 men and I frankly don't care if he makes passes that would make iniesta jealous. Take a look around, the best defenders are no-nonsense players who do their job properly. Kompany, Terry, Vidic, Puyol, Pique, etc.
Jay-Ho 1
Here are my two cents on the whole David Luiz discussion. We all know he's brilliant with the ball in his feet, so I'm going to concentrate on his actual defending. The only thing that kan keep David Luiz from reaching greatness is his brain. Sounds funny, but I honestly believe that if he can improve his decision-making, he has the potential to become one of the best defenders in the world. The fundamentals are there - he has good pace and is nearly unbeatable one against one. People didn't focus as much on his mistakes last season. I guess the "high block" has just made the errors more noticable. He was excellent against Valencia when the whole team was defending well.Hopefully, his positional skills and tactical understanding will improve with time. When that happens, we will have a world class defender who is also able to bring the ball forward and can step into midfield when neccessary, like Pique does for Barcelona. Until then, he is a ticking time bomb.
