warnie_666 1,081
That is after they had handed in a transfer request. Why should players who are definitely going to be leaving be training with the first team? How do you know that this happened after they handed in the transfer request? How do you know that they didnt hand out transfer request because they were banished to the reserves by the Manager?

See it all happened so sudden which gives further credence to what Beasley posted. And it contradicts your theory. If AVB knew that he was going to banish Alex and Anelka he wouldnt have played Anelka in CC 3 days before the Newcaslte game.
Blue Armour 4,439
You may look at it suspiciously but when it comes to Chelsea I prefer going by what Rob Beasley has to say.You didn't answer my question...
warnie_666 1,081
You didn't answer my question...Like I said, you may look at it suspiciously, and point towards the timing. But I dont care about the timing. Had he printed this on Sunday you still would have spoken about the timing cus the news about Alex and Anelka was all over then and you would have said, here we go again THE SUN apparently made up the story just after the news about Anelka and Alex broke out...So when do you think would have been an appropriate time to post tthis news about what happened at the training ground... I am sorry but did you hear the crowd chanting Torres's name at 65 minutes while a Chelsea Legend was leading the line against Wolves? Being average doesnt mean better than normal performances. And telling players like Drogba and Terry already what they know which is "You guys are top players" hardly helps. Carlo was a nice man but we needed someone like Mourinho you can put these players in their places. You have to hurt their ego. that is what Reverse Psychology is all about. He benched him and took him off at half time at OT and Lampard came back strong in October...Like I said, massaging egos of these big players isnt going to help. Carlo did it last season. Now in this situation, if you try to enforce reverse psychology it is going to back fire. which it did. . Nobody knows what happened between him and Drogba. He banished Drogba to the reserves, he did not allow Drogba to go to France to recover from his injury, etc etc. Add to all this Scolari's English... Clevemayer 764
If this article was true, I honestly have fallen in love with AVB.... dunno why ppl wouldn't like a trainer telling ppl what all of us would tell them, best part was this, and it seemed to have kicked that players particular ass:An insider revealed: "It was unbelievable. The manager would look at a player, tear him to shreds, then move on to the next one."For example, he turned to Didier Drogba and told him, 'You're a fraction of the player you were last season'.thats how you tell a player he's shit and he has to get his things sorted...
