Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

He will certainly get more time than the other managers we have had, but if top 4 is looking unachievable than Roman will sack him, regardless of the cash issue...

I dont think that will happen though, with the competivness of the league Arsenal will drop points and Liverpool are too negative.....Spurs are a danger though, they can be top London club this year if we don't pull our finger out...

I'll be bloody pissed off if we do sack him...it'll just make any form of contract at our club pointless

Fergie werent great to start with now look at him!! Know times have moved on and changed but still.....Carlo was the longest serving Manager since Jose and he only done 2 years!!Its daft and crazy....and cant really see Roman doing it really anyho but still...

He cost to much just to sack him , lets see where we are at by Christmas and judge then. The only thing im worried about is i see spuds going above us and we should win against Blackburn , but we have the dippers as the next league game and we know our track record against them.

It will cost us much more if we dont get into next CL.

Of course it will. But can anyone here honestly say they wont support chelsea if were not in the cl next year? I'll be honest

Im sick of worrying about our position in the league. Now a days its like I cant just enjoy watching a game because every game is a must win so we can keep our status. I love this club but the pressure to keep us at the top level is mad. I'm sorry if people don't

Agree but I just wanna enjoy watching my team again. No pressure...

Andre Villas-Boas believes it is "inevitable" that Chelsea fans will one day call for his head, revealing he does not see himself in club management in the long-term.

Amazing how right he was.. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/979828/andre-villas-boas:-chelsea-fans-will-want-me-sacked-one-day?cc=5739

Can't believe any one is calling for his head. It was bad when some were doing it with Carlo but now.....

We might have had a few bad results but already AVB has significantly reduced the average age of the the starting players, got us playing great football (the first 30 minutes at Bolton were an absolute delight), broke our Everton hoodoo not once but twice, got Lampard and Torres playing well again, brought in Juan Mata (IMO our best signing since Cech and Drogba), has done what most of this forum have dreamt off and frozen out Kalou and has done something we were all begging Carlo to do for nearly 2 years (make Sturridge a reguarlar).

Yes i do wish we would see less off Bosingwa and more of Josh and Romeu and i was devestated losing at home to Arsenal but all in all i am delighted with the work AVB and RDM have done so far.

We sack him and he will dominate at another club (maybe even Man.City), we let him do thing's his way and give him time then we will dominate English football (City appointing Mourinho a worry) i have no doubt whatsoever.

Right about what?

That this squad has needed revamped for years! Yes we won the double with the majority of this squad but i think many will agree that season actually covered a multitude of sins. I know we played some lovely stuff that year but we still needed to get some of the dead wood out and refresh the squad a long time ago

It was bad enough having people call for Carlo's head.

When Villas-Boas arrived, we were winning games 5-1 and the world was all rosy, he was the perfect manager.

Two sub-par results (I won't say bad because a draw away in Europe is acceptable, in my opinion) and suddenly he has no intelligence. The immaturity on here is no longer surprising, though, unfortunately.

I think anyone genuinely calling for his head needs their own examined! I think he is 100% the man for the job and quite frankly if we are not winning every game but are always looking to be attacking and push forward we will win more than we lose.

Absolutely. People don't seem to realise that unless you are Barcelona or Man City, you can't play exceptional football and look to win every game. We will lose games 5-3 and we will win games 5-3, this is how we play now.

Even if we are losing games, I blame the players. They have not taken chances in the last 2 games which he can not do anything about. OK so the tactics with the high line against Arsenal were probably wrong but look what happened when we played Man U earlier this season. The tactics were spot on and had it not been for poor finishing and dreadful refereeing we could have won 4 or 5 nil.

Obviously he is trying to get a fast passing style into our side but he cant do this when he is unable to buy players capable of playing in this way. Instead we are stuck with players like Kalou, Malouda, Anelka all of whom can't pass for ****. Once he can buy the players he wants and ship out the ones he does not want, it will be easier for him to print his style of play onto the team

good to see so many sensible posts on here now. It would be a blow to miss out on the CL ..what would be worse would be to sack AVB and abandon

the changes he is trying to make. We all agreed change was needed ...now we must bite the bullet and see it through.

Not so fast boy. We are not playing this exiciting football yet. Torres is not playing good enough yet, and the worst thing that happened with Lampard was this 4 goals in a game, because suddenly he became good again.

Whos asking for VB head?

Who said he was superb because of a 5-1 win?

You cant even criticize a manager anymore, so it means you are asking for his head?

I ask for a managers head based on his job, not on results. Thats why I thought Carlos job was poor, despite the double, that we won in one of the worst seasons in PL in recent years.

The fact is that VB did not show what he is about. We dont have a team, We dont have this new philosophy you tried to say We already have.

2 seasons is enough to the portuguese show his value, as we are in the beginning of his first season, Im not asking for his head, but Ill keep criticizing as long as I think his job is not good enough.
