I don't think they are suspended. I swear i heard somewhere that after the new year if you get to your 5th yellow you just get a warning. It's only if you get your 10th yellow you get suspended.

He has potential to be a good player for us. The game against West Ham he only came on for the last 15 minutes and he was in my opinion our best player. But i think we got mugged. Like Cameron said, we have paid 18 million for a squad player. 7, 8 or 9 million i think would have been a good by but we paid way over the odds in my opinion.
-
First of all, the fact you said we could sell him for 10-20 million means he must be a half decent player. And yes i think you are a bit harsh on Mikel although you are not the first person i have heard to have spoken about him in this way. In my opinion i think Mikel is a usefull member of the squad. Although he has the occasional lapse of concentration... He is very composed on the ball, he has good control, he is strong and has a very wise head on his shoulders for his young age. Like a little Makelele, but bigger than him. lol. But all in all a very good player who could become a world star in years to come in my opinion.

What??

Just got tickets for the game. Looking forward to it. Should be a good game always is when small teams play a giant.

Like zolayes said, don't buy for the sake of it. Even if the ban is put in place it is only for 2 transfer windows so that will only be for one year. There is no problem with that for me. Ok, we have an old squad but they are only 30, 31, 32. If they were 34, 35 or older then we may have a problem. We proved this january we can cope with a few players out of action and even if we do have an injury crises then we can always use our youngsters and give them the experience they need to make it at senior level.

Like a few other people have said on here... The faggots at The Sun, NOTW and all the scummy paper's similar just want to shoot him down. They just want to sell their newspaper and are using JT to do that and it's probably working. This will all blow over in a week or two and everything will be back to normal. You can bet your life though that every time they mention Terry they will use the phrase "Love-rat" or something like that. In regards of John losing they England captaincy, i don't see why this should mean he has to give it up! I'm not saying what he has done isn't right because it is not but in my eyes, what has this got to do with his display's on a football pitch? He proved it against Burnley that he has amazing mental strength. When faced with adversity he came out on top and that is exactly the type of leader England need during the World Cup.

Brilliant night. When Torres scored i rememeber thinking, oh here we go again. But what a performance after that and definately Ivanovic's best game for us. He'll go down in Chelsea folklore now, just for those two goals. lol!

Time to knock Arsecum out of the title race! If they play like they did today they have no chance against us. Especially if Dider plays who terrorises Arsecum every time he plays them. I'm looking quite positively at this game and am very confident that we can win.

HAHAHA, IMMENSE!

Didn't he sign up to The Sun as a writer during the World Cup?

Agreed with every word.

I don't know when this story came out but i think it is interesting that every controversial headline about John Terry recently, i seem to remember him making a statement defending himself etc. Like i said... i'm not sure when this story came out but JT has put out no statement which suggests to me this may be true. On the whole image thing... I think Drogba11CFC sums it up perfectly. It is none of our business where John puts himself so to speak. If this is true then i suppose his image will be tarnished but it has nothing to do with his leadership or ability on a football pitch so therefore don't think he will have to relinquish the England captaincy and he has nothing to worry about with the Chelsea captaincy.

Terry's commitment and never-say-die attitude is untouched by everybody in world football. He has blue blood coursing through his veins. He epitomises everything that is Chelsea. He is Chelsea. In my opinion, when this man retires he will retire as the biggest Chelsea legend there is... and ever will be. JT... Captain. Leader. Legend. Come on the Chels!

I'm counting for Frank as well. I really want him to get to 20 this year too lift him up with Ossie and Bentley. I don't think he will manage it but i really hope he can get past Kerry Dixon and maybe even Bobby Tambling. He can at least get close to them if he carries on with his 20 goal a season average for the rest of his contract. Frank Lampard = LEGEND!!

There is already a thread titled "best Chelsea team of your lifetime" But as i said, most members on this site are young so can only name players of the last 10 - 15 years in their team of their lifetime. I was interested in who they believed to be Chelsea's best team of all time. If there was already a thread similar to this then it was created a while ago. I have been a member here for half a year and i haven't seen one.
-
Yes, that will be played on 30th Jan.
-
I had a look at all the threads in this "Chelsea Gold" forum and there is no greatest Chelsea XI, one that says greatest XI of your lifetime but, most people on here are young therefore can't put their greatest XI of all time.
-
Me and a couple of mates were having this conversation a couple of weeks ago and came up with this team as Chelsea's greatest XI. ...................Bonetti........................ Harris.....Terry.....Desailly.....A.Cole. .................Makelele....................... ...........Hollins.........Lampard.......... ......................Zola......................... ...........Osgood....Greaves.............. Though it would be interesting to see what people think and what you think is our greatest XI of all time.
-
I remember him being linked with Arsenal..... Hope your right as well. He is taking the place of promising strikers like Sturridge.
-
Didn't Kalou sign a new contract recently? And even though i really think Kalou is useless i can't see us selling him.
-
Unlucky Mikel.... I thought this was the month we were meant to faulter. We win all four games and score 17 goals in the meantime. Now we have everyone back it all looks rosy...

It's strange because in the 04-05 season i felt so confident. Every game we played I thought... we can't lose this. But now... even though I think we have a stronger squad... I don't feel as confident going into games and am just waiting for us to slip up and i don't know why. This started happening as soon as Grant took charge so maybe it has something to do with that.
