  1. Feel sorry for him. He deserved one last shot at the World Cup but at lets face it. He wouldn't really do much there if he went. At least now we can take someone who is actually going to make an impact.
  2. I think we need a regeneration period. We need to re-build our squad. We have a lot of dead wood and they need to go. I think we need to get rid of our ageing players who contribute little. Ballack, Paulo, Deco, Belletti, Hilario and Carvalho. Also i think Joe Cole (Sorry Joe) and Kalouless are blocking the way for our young players to get game time. I think Anelka should leave but only if Carlo insists on playing him out wide. Some people have been saying bring in five or six players and also promote 6 or 7 youth players. You do that you will have a squad of 30 plus players which is not going to work. Kakuta, Matic, Bruma, Stoch Cork, Hutchinson and Mancienne should be promoted. Then we don't need to brin in too many players. I would like to see 3 players come in. Milner, Sneijder and Aguero. Young (I don't think Sneijder is that young though) establihed players who will add quality to our squad. My squad would be... Goalkeepers: Cech, Turnbull, Taylor Defenders: Bosingwa Ivanovic, Hutchinson, Bruma, Terry, Alex, A.Cole, Zhirkov Midfielders: Matic, Cork, Lampard, Mikel, Essien, Mancienne, Milner Wingers/Attacking midfielders: Kakuta, Stoch, Malouda, Sneijder Strikers: Drogba, Anelka, Sturridge, Aguero The average age of the squad will be decreased, the wage bill will have been decreased and we will have the young mixed with the experience.
  3. Sounds like i genuine accident to me. Fucking media trying to make it bigger than it actually is and trying to bring down JT and Chelsea. When are they just going to tell the fucking truth?
  4. Lol, Worst XI... Harder than you think. Neil Sullivan (Past it by the time he joined us) Glen Johnson (Can't think of any bad RB so went with Glen because he had so much potential but didn't really show it) Winston Bogarde (Do i need to give an explantation) Tal Ben-Haim (Not good enough for Chelsea) Del Horno (Just didn't really do it for me) Slavisa Jokanovic (Never really looked like he was up for it, very lazy on and off the ball) Maniche (Pointless signing, played about 7 games and didn't do anything that i can remember of) Juan Veron (Big Ego. Big Money. Waste of space) Miniero (Why did we even buy him?? 2 games) Kezman (Although he did try hard, he only scored 7 goals if i can remember right) Pizarro (2 goals in one season for a striker is pathetic)
  5. Remember the season finishes early this year due to the World Cup so it might be mid April.
  6. This Mourinho doesn't lose at Stamford Bridge is mind games like warnie_666 said. It wasn't Mourinho that never lost at The Bridge (he actually did once against Barcelona) itwas Chelsea. That run stretched back to the Ranieri days (ok it was only for about 5 games but still) and went right through Avram Grant and on to Scolari. So it was Chelsea that never lose at Stamford Bridge not Mourinho. Typical mind games from the special one. The players know this anyway and won't be fazed by his comments.
  7. The celebration has something to do with the Haiti disaster. I have to admit i gave Malouda a fair bit of stick in his first season with us. He couldn't pass the ball, his crossing was atrocious and similar to Kalou he always tried to do something extra and end up losing the ball or falling over. But since Hiddink took charge he has been a different player. Interestingly, when Hiddink took over was when he grew his hair. I think that may be the source of his new found good performances. lol! His performance today may have been the best i have seen from him in a Chelsea shirt. Keep going Flo, your doing great!
  8. For me it has to be either Drogba, Ivanovic or Malouda. I would have said A.Cole and Anelka as well but since Ash has only played just over half a year you can't really give it to him and Anelka's form has dipped in the last couple of months so i think he is out of the running. Its rare that a defender gets a player of the year award (although Terry has won it a couple of times) so i would say Drogba will come out on top. Purely because he has been the difference in so many matches.
  9. He didn't really have anything to do today so i don't think you can judge him on todays performance. Although like sam81292 said, he was very confident coming for things in the air which our goalkeepers seem to lack. Going on to the Inter game. Inter are a totally different proposition that West Ham. With the likes of Eto'o, Sneijder etc, they are a bit better than West Ham. Hopefully our defence can protect him as best as they can. We just have to put our faith in him and hope he does well. Come on Ross, have a worldy son!
  10. I have a really bad feeling about this game and i don't like it. I so badly want us to go through but i just think it will be a draw. I even had two dreams in one night a couple of days ago that we got to 1-1 and just couldn't get that second goal. Please reasure me that we can go through.
  11. Turnbull is a permanent signing. I'm not worried about the West Ham, Ross has Premier League experience with Boro last year and lets face it, West Ham are not all that are they. I'm worried about the Inter game on Tuesday. Please say Hilario is going to be fit for that game.
  12. We cannot take a draw on this game. United are two points clear. We need to win this game, get back on top and put the pressure on them against Fulham. We need to be within two points of them by the time we play Pompey and the only way i think that will happen is if we win every game from now until then.
  13. Well its encouraging what Carlo is saying about Joe's future. He doesn't usually lie. He said in the summer that JT was 100% staying and he did. And obviosuly he said that he wouldn't buy anyone in January and he didn't, so i guess we have no reason to doubt him if he says that he is 100% sure Joe will be here next year then Joe should be here next year.
  14. SHIT!! Just saw that on the Chelsea website. I'm shitting myself that he will be in goal against Inter more than West Ham though.
  15. Sorry but if that source is true and they offered him 36k, after the service he has given the club over his time here he has a right to be a bit pissed with the attitude of the club towards him.
  16. Lets hope he has an outstanding performance against Inter. I'm dreading this game and have a really bad feeling about it. Please Hilario, have your best game ever for Chelsea.
  17. They cannot put red on a Chelsea kit, surely not. I would definately not be buying it if their was red on it. What a joke that would be.
  18. This has all of a sudden turned into a must win game. With United winning on Saturday and having a two point gap we can't really afford to drop any points. On paper it should be an easy 3 points but games are not played on paper. West Ham are fighting for their lives and i think it will be a tough game. Still think we will be to strong for them and will take the three points and hope Fulham do us a favour by getting something from their game with United.
  19. I think people might well be winding me up here but i have heard from a couple of people that he has been linked with a move to United. Personally i have not seen anything like that in the papers or on the telly. Don't think it would ever happen, even if he were to leave on a bosman but thought it was interesting that i heard it from two different people.
  20. I was reading Essiens blog on the Chelsea website and he said that he was coming along fine and shouldn't be out for too much longer. This must be one of The Suns bullshit stories again.
  21. Very tough draw but looking forward to this one very much!
