Yes. And that goal won Nico the golden boot that season as well. Ronaldo was taken off with about 15 mins to go in the United game and threw his toys out the pram I want to smash them! Going out tonight for my mates 21st and starting it off down the pub for this game so a lovely 4,5 or 6-0 and a few pints to get started would set the night up wonderfully well!! If we don't win... I'm going home!

Simply stunning!! In a totally different league! World class!

You think about it, we effectively went a season unbeaten anyway on our 40 match unbeaten run!! Invincibles :blue scalf:

Oh no!! Such sad news! R.I.P. John Neal.

Best ever Chelsea squad (in your lifetime)

Born in 1991 Cech Petrescu - Desailly - JT - Cole Makelele - Essien Lampard Zola Drogba - JFH Just jizzed in my pants. Only problem is no width but fuck it... those players are too good to drop for a Robben or someone. Hazard nearly got in on the wing but i chose to go two upfront with JFH who was maybe the most clinical striker I have ever seen (in my lifetime)for Chelsea. Cech, JT, Ash, Lamps, Zola and Didier are no brainers for me. Desailly - Nearly chose Ricky Carvalho but Desailly was an absolute rock at the heart of the first Chelsea squad i ever fell in love with. Fantastic player. Petrescu - I always preferred him as a right winger than defender but we have never had a stand out right back in my lifetime so he will have to do LOL. Makelele and Essien - With Lamps formed the greatest midfield this club has ever seen IMO. World Class and too good to leave out. JFH - Clinical striker, born to score goals and my first ever favourite player! I love the guy!! -
The International Break..... It's over!!!
-
I so want this man to win at least 1 if not 2 more PL winners medals and also he deserves to play in a winning CL final! JT is an absolute legend and I know it may be a long shot but I hope one day he can become our all time leading appearance maker.
-
13 days on the countdown.... FUCKING INTERNATIONAL BREAKS!!!!!!
-
We can easily win this if we play like we did last 10 of the first half. Keep it more compact at the back. Close them down much quicker when they get into our half. Improve on our finishing and it could be 2, 3 or even 4!!
-
If we lose to this lot the weekend before an international break I may have to slit my throat! A win here meaning we will go into the 3rd and last break still unbeaten in all comps would rubber stamp a truly incredible start from our boys. Let's get through this with 3 points by any means necessary and push again in a couple of weeks where we have a fairly favourable set of fixtures. Only Spurs (twice) out of last seasons top 7, up until City at the end of Jan. What a position we could be in come then!! Come on the Chels!! Let's do this! :blue scalf:
-
We need to pull our fingers out a little here. Shrewsbury and QPR we labour to 2-1 wins and tonight we only play for half hour. Still - could be City LOL!! still top of our group and still unbeaten! Not all bad aye
-
I'm not lying.... Not once has it ever happened to me.
-
Everybody talking about being asked to sit. Where are you getting that from? I have been going to The Bridge for 15 years. Mostly in the MH lower where everybody stands and have not once been asked to sit.
-
We won.... doesn't matter how or by how much! A win is a win and 3 points. Now need City to drop points tomorrow and happy fucking days!

I think it is very dangerous to use technology in every situation. A lot of decisions in football are based on opinion. One man thinks it is a pen, the next man doesn't I can't see how 2 extra refs watching on tv screens can work. What if they both have a difference of opinion on a decision? What if they both advise the ref of a 'wrong' decision but the ref is adamant the decision he made is correct? It just won't work. Now the appeal system I do like the sounds of. Like in cricket the Decision Review System was brought in to stop the 'howler'. I think 1 appeal a match for a manager for any howler against his team. A blatant handball or sending off. Or even if a pen has been given against his side but the player dived. More than 1 review and you could start getting appeals for everything. I think it should be kept to a minimum.

Fantastic draw. All my family are from Derby and are Derby supporters fun times!!
-
Foreign refs wouldn't cope with the PL. Look at the CL, you only have to be farted on and you will get a freekick!!
-
Dangerous to think about who can or can't stop us IMO. We're bordering on over confidence there. My pessimistic mind always tells me on runs like this - we must be due a loss soon. We will lose soon, it is how we react to that, that will determine how well we do. Another 15-20 game unbeaten run and we should be laughing.

Why does Schurrle insist on shooting from every fucking position on the pitch? CUT IT OUT!!!!

Which Players Do You Regret Chelsea Selling?

Sturridge -
That is poor, mate. This is a fantastic competition, a fantastic trophy to win especially mid season and we have history in it, especially in recent years. One thing that sets this great club apart from other 'big' clubs IMO, is we give every competition the respect it deserves. We don't dismiss any trophy and I don't see why we should now. Silverware is silverware. As a great club, we will do all we can to win another major trophy like we do every year! Choosing to reject an opportunity at one competition as a 'waste of time' is quite frankly arrogant and something i would expect from a glory hunting Manc. Remember our older generation of fans didn't have the luxury to pick and choose which competition we could or couldn't go for back in the late 70's and 80's. They couldn't have ever dreamed about winning The League Cup while we were floating around in Division 2. Remember where we came from!
-
Annoying result given we were 1 up with 30 seconds left but we invited the pressure. We brought Mikel on with 20 mins to go and while we were turning the screw a little looking for the 2nd. Why?? Don't have anyone to blame but ourselves imo. Anyone who blames the ref needs to open their eyes a little. We should have gone for the throat when we scored the first. We didn't, we sat back and was punished. Still, a point gained on City. Still unbeaten. Its not all doom and gloom.

I'm nervous ahead of this game. We are flying at the moment, but too many times I have seen teams flying, go to Old Trafford and lose. It always happens! I know this isn't the same United as it used to be but it still makes me nervous. We have such an opportunity to create a big gap at the top with the City result. I SO SO SO don't want to let it slip. Please boys!! Don't fuck it up today! Let's be ruthless! Come on the Chels!! :blue scalf:

So Jose says Remy is out, Costa is a major doubt but he doesn't know if Didier will start even though he said he has trained well this week.... what?? So no strikes on sunday then?

Agree with Amels.... very strange to do this now. Unsure on what to make of this really. We seemed rather settled at bored level and now we need to find a new CEO. Hopefully someone inside the club will take up the role.
