I feel that the board have somehow accepted the transfer ban and have some sort of one year, maybe even two year plan of going through a transition where they plan to spend little to no money at all, give a Chelsea legend the manager role so that the fans are happy and support him through thick and thin and maybe they even plan to promote some youngsters. Don't think we as fans will get spoiled again with top transfers as long as Roman and the UK Government don't come to peace. In this case I'd rather we promote the Chelsea youngsters than spend 60-70M on useless ones that frankly you can easily find in the Academy.

My hate for Liverpool breaks every limit and MAYBE if I was living in London I'd have rooted for them, but since I am not and European media holds Liverpool in a bubble, I hope for a Spurs win to keep my sanity intact. Going to be a long month of June should Liverpool win it and I won't touch any sports channel nor newspapers, they will even make special TV studios and dedicated programmes I am about to vomit just thinking of it. Whereas should Spurs win it they will talk tomorrow for the whole day and Monday they will go back to rapes, murders and bimbos marrying 80 year olds sugar daddies.

- No Eden Hazard - Transfer ban incoming - Willian, Pedro, Pulisic and CHO (coming of a six month injury break) as your wingers. - Two average left backs and 2nd to 3rd tier centre backs. - Add to all this two world class competitors in Man City and Liverpool. Compared to: - Cristiano Ronaldo in your squad - Serie A winner come next May - CL contenders - Squad investments - Managing in your own country. Easy to see why Sarri would be the one pushing for the move - and I believe he truly is the one pushing for it, not Chelsea. As a matter of fact I 100% believe the club would not have even thought about a new manager if Sarri would not have asked to leave. Some say the 3rd place would not have been possible w/o Arsenal's capitulation in the last months, or United's bad performances, but who cares how we finished 3rd? In the end Sarri finished third, won a European trophy and in my view Chelsea was better than City in that League Cup final. For me he managed a very good season given all the circumstances and the squad he had at his disposal. Think Chelsea really improved under him in terms of passing game, build from the back etc. Only thing that was bad this season was the play in the final third were Chelsea look bad. Maybe this was going to change in Sarri's 2nd season? Maybe yes, maybe no. We will never know though. I like him as a manager and thank him for what he did here. A shame he could not emulate the Napoli squad atmosphere here as well. Happy though Chelsea is the one he will always remember as the club he won his first trophy with.

To be fair if the club bring Frank in I'd rather they give him time to properly rebuild. If they want instant success then give him big bucks and bring top players in. No in between, enough with all the Zappacostas and Drinkwaters, as a Chelsea fan I'd rather we stay two years away from the top and integrate the likes of Mount, CHO, RLC, James etc in the first team, than have average players coming in, scrapping for top four finishes every season. Plenty of English talent in this generation, would love to see a Chelsea line up full of at least six English lads in 3-4 years.

Not only a win for the mighty Chels but a European trophy against a miserable club with some of the most bitter fans that brag about useless PL round 10, November wins that mean jack shit in the long run, like they would be the champions of the world. Fuck Arse and their deluded fans, enjoy UCL in front of your flat TV screen for a third season in a row. Not only they've lost against a rival they hate so much but we managed to fuck up all their summer plans in terms of transfers et al, they are the club with the fastest fall from the top ATM and long may it last! -
Why would Juventus officials be dining out at the end of the world with Bruce Buck of all people if not for the manager??? Sarri is gone.

Would love to mate but the trip depends on other three friends that atm are 50/50, my best mate and myself we're ready to go anytime but the trip itself it's simply not worth in two, I mean it's 3000 km and 33-34 hours of driving, the plan is to be five of us so that every one of us drives 6-7 hours and spend less time doing stops and sleep in some bnb or whatever, would be non stop drive. Waiting for the other three to decide hope they say it's ok so we can hit the road hehehe -
Totally, I agree! I read all the transfer reports on twitter everyday surrounding the likes of De Ligt, Ziyech, Sane, Nicolas Pepe, Griezmann and lots of other players that are chased by the big clubs and what I see in every report is "wanted by Bayern, Madrid, Paris, City, United" or "offered to Liverpool, Paris (and all the other big ones)" Bar one - Chelsea. This is worrying. I see absolutely no report on a single top player where Chelsea is at least used as a clickbait. I don't think the ban is going to start this summer, maybe this winter or even next summer, but not now. In this case we are not even linked with Nicolas Pepe, a Chelsea fan by his own quotes with an affordable price tag. Nevermind a quality left footed winger Chelsea are in desperate need of since the Robben/Malouda days. Or I must say at least a link with a quality centre forward. Timo Werner is up for grabs for a decent price and made available by the Leipzig director himself. I'm not saying he is a must buy at any costs, but at least a link to know we're after some quality players that would actually improve a squad ready to play CL football next season.
-
I see this scenario - first Frank and Derby go to PL then Chelsea have a stinker in the transfer market (if allowed to make any deals), Eden leaves and squad gets no improvements. By the end of next season Frank proves himself in the PL, keeps Derby safe from relegation while Chelsea getts battered in the CL Round of 16 and finishes 5th or 6th and no trophy to show for. Frank and JT take over after season finishes.

What a bloody mess this is mate simply cannot understand why big matches like this one and the WC that is going to come are played in countries with no footie culture, bloody hell Azerbaidjan do they even play football there? And it's not even in Europe!!!!!! I'm in Romania atm and even for me it's so damn expensive to go there by plane, 700 pounds and stops in Wien and Moscow, Jeeeeeesus....... My four mates and I it's easier to go there by car in the end, at least it is only three countries we have to cross and 6-7 hours of non stop driving each. -
I have so many insults in my head right now it would take me days to write them down, it's fucking shocking what has happened to this lad, hands down the brightest thing to happen this season and probably only one of the very few people I was looking forward to seeing next season in a Chelsea shirt. Now he is out for some time because of some meaningless friendly that could have easily been played during pre season or not even played at all in the end no one gives a damn bar some fuckers in the board that think they can improve the image of the club by playing some shite football matches like this one. No, you improve the image of the club by playing CL play off stages every season and challenge for the league title, not by bringing Marcos Alonso and Willain in the US
-
I pray to God that this is not the Coutinho money they get after ripping off Chelsea. Can't be. Must not be. We. Are. Not. That. Stupid!!!!!!!!
-
Modern CF and one of my favourite players ATM, would be a massive statement if we would at least be in for him but unfortunately I don't think the board evens considers him an option and this is a shame. Timo Werner and Nicolas Pepe is where the Hazard money should go to. Pace upfront is what modern footie is all about now and it's exactly what we are missing.

It is not about any pro Sarri camp or those who would want to see him go in a flash, but some need to be more realistic to be fair and see the bigger picture here. I'm not saying this squad is Brighton level, but not that good either. You keep talking like Sarri possess a top squad and he's shit at managing it. It's wrong if you ask me. The squad is poor if you ask me and you are missing something when you make youR analysis and that is MOTIVATION which in sports means almost everything. As fans we think making top 4 is huge because of CL footie etc. but frankly I think players care more about trophies and I have said it countless times on this forum, Chelsea's blip in form came when City and Liverpool have detached themselves from the others as sole contenders. For me that was the point Chelsea's players downed tools and accepted they would not catch those two and I am sure that was what Sarri used to talk about when he said he cannot motivate this squad. Look at Madrid - bad season etc. they had to change something. Zidane came in. What has changed? Nothing. Why? Because they are not motivated by anything, anymore this season. There is no difference between Solari's Madrid and this Madrid now because of one thing and that's motivation and the end of a cycle. Apart from Jorginho, Higuain (Morata before), Rudiger and maybe one or two others, this squad has won everything that was to be won with this club and there are regulars that have been here for so long, maybe I am in the minority but I think that a cycle at Chelsea has come to end as well, but unlike Madrid we won't do much about it because of all the stuff going on around this club. Sarri is no Guardiola but thinking he is to blame solely on Chelsea's poor display is wrong. Yes the team does play a boring football but there is more about it than Sarri being a poor manager.

I read a lot of articles this morning coming from Spanish editors and they all seem to have the same infos and the exact same transfer numbers and that is 130M Euro (£112M). If we do not go the 'Klopp way' and that is getting two pacey wingers then I am afraid there is no way back at the top for this club. At this point the Pulisic deal seems a total useless one if you ask me, sorry if I bother anyone but from all the Dortmund matches that I have watched if this guy was transfered to be a regular on the wings then I guess next season United better be ready for the fight because there is going to be a hell of a fight for that 5th and 6th spot. And I don't even want to think of Coutinho. Total rip off to spend the money on a bang average player that Liverpool have actually contributed from selling him and improved massively after he left. Spending any money on a totally overrated player would be such a stupid thing to do.

It's because of how Spurs are perceived outside of the UK. Ok the UK culture has them as Chelsea/Arsenal's most hated rivals, whereas they are irrelevant anywhere outside of the UK. I can count on the fingers of just one hand the countries in Europe I did not travel to so far and believe me wherever you go it is inevitable not to start a football discussion no matter the topic. And as soon as you do this it is inevitable not to talk about the EPL and believe me I have met thousands of foreigners that are absolutely mad about English football but none was a Spurs fan. This club simply does not exist outside of the UK no matter what they did for the past years. The shit you see on TV about Liverpool - it's the exact same thing with European Liverpool fans, pundits etc. In my country after Ajax v Spurs, they talked about the match for a bit and then said 'Ok let's go back to the miracle of Anfield, incredible story, the only club in the world that could manage this kind of things, we simply can't get enough of it' blah blah fucking blah It is the same fucking shit all over Europe I can't stand this miserable club. It would be weeks of articles and stories of this 'glorious club' and their 6th UCL trophy yeah just fuck off

Yeah it's not like the team has been playing 22nd century football for the past few months and now they've had a hiccup, the football is pretty much gash since that run at the start of the season. At least we're through to yet another final against the bastards in the North and what else is better than beat them in a European final and dump them out of Champions League as well??? What I am more worried of is Sarri saying one or two transfers is enough this summer haha..................... -
I feel for the UK based lads in here, but I'm on the same side as you and for my mental sanity I hope Spurs beat the Scouse scum. Spurs are irrelevant in Romania, I mean not even that, they simply do not exist, even sewer rats are higher in the pecking order than Spurs. Spurs won last night, ok they talked a bit about it and then went back to the miracle of Anfield and the marvelous Klopp and this Liverpool team full of serial winners blah blah 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Liverpool is a cult here, the media wankfest is similar to the UK one, all the pundits love them, their fans are all over the TV and now everybody hopes City fuck up vs Brightonat the week end so that Liverpool win the title because 'they deserve it'. The biggest Sports channel in Romania that does not even broadcast EPL (Eurosport does) can't stop licking Liverpool's arse since two nights ago. It's horrible, the cult created around this club, it would be insuferable if they win it. Should Spurs do it, they would probably write some news just for the sake of filling their air time and that is it.
-
I was just about to say it was going to be the most unbalanced final ever had Ajax gotten through - watching tonight's match and the way they could not cope with Spurs, Liverpool would have totally destroyed them I have no doubts. Now it's game on at least it is what I like to believe that Spurs are up for it more than Ajax would have been.
-
Wooooooooooow
-
They say it's still one match left for the league title and nothing is decided yet, I say last night was only the SF and Ajax is going to save football. It is their story, three qualifying ties last summer so that in the end they defeat the trophy dodgers, the media darlings, the victims. How sweet it would be after all the celebrations and the worldwide coverage to finish empty handed haha
-
Very much agree with this. Been a Sarri supporter on this forum, but after the Cardiff match I was fuming thinking there is no way he'd change for a bit. As said in your post, the past months have shown a change. Back him in the summer and see how we look next season after he gets a full pre season with Chelsea and already with a one year PL experience. And frankly can any name a top manager that would take over here on a limited transfer budget and no Eden Hazard??? Bet that now it's more like the board praying Sarri won't leave, rather than the vice versa.
-
My exact same feelings pal, make no mistake THEY ARE ALL THE SAME all over Europe, you should just see the Romanian bunch, fucking hell mate they are simply unbearable. They discuss a lot EPL on TV here and the media is full of Liverpool fans always talking about the 80s and the Istanbul match, saying how this club is entitled to titles but somehow others prevent them from winning those. There is one fucking idiot guy talking and posting every day reasons why City is actually lucky to win the title in the end, citing all their late goals and so called dodgy calls. Wow. What about Pickford's howler? Alderwireld's OG? The offside goal at WH? Mahrez's miss at Anfield? And there is so many more. Disgusting bunch mate, fucking love to live this period seeing them trying and trying all over again but failing every time. More misery to a miserable lot.

UCL it is then!!! With the slightest of efforts, Manure and Arse are truly shocking haha

Was worried about this one to be fair, but I think I've overestimated Frankfurt too much (and my confidence in this Chelsea squad has taken a big downfall this season). They are a mid table German club and we're still a European powerhouse, although we do not have the personnel to show for it. Guess the big club mentality showed for last night and should have easily put this tie to bed. I have no worries about the 2nd leg tho. Loved Ruben's display and Giroud's link up play, but frankly this squad needs MASSIVE upgrade if we are to make the UCL next season.
