This joke of a football game left me with such a bad taste I think I'll detach myself from any football on TV this week-end. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. Pathetic tactics and team selection, absolutely awful. As much as admiration I have for Conte, he has to take the blame for this one. He is better than this, I know it, we all know it, but this one is on him. He is digging his own grave by starting Matic and Oscar. What a useless combo, there is no words to describe how shite this two are, especially the biggest fraud in world football, Oscar. Ivanovic and Cahill as well, frauds stealing a leaving. Unbelievable how 90% or more of the Chelsea fan base and probably neutral fans, too, can see that this four in particular are dog shite but they are still starting. There is definitely something wrong at this club when it comes to team selection and by the way, Conte must forget about his feud with Fabregas and bring him the fuck back. No creativity and no service with the two donkeys Matic and Oscar on the pitch and they are still on with 10 minutes to go??? Borderline ridiculous. If this football game has not shown Conte that certain players must be benched then I don't know what to think anymore.

Yeah and Henry and Carragher fuck off you wankers, already picking on David Luiz. Maybe he didn't even post the tweet himself and has others managing that account at times.
-
Which one in that pic has gone to United? To me it looks like it's the one on Conte's left Your club has hidden the real Pogba somewhere safe in Torino and sent one of his brothers to Manchester

Ermm.................. training? Basically that's where you learn tactics. Match day you just put in practice what you've learned on the training pitch. Pre season is where Conte shared his philosophy with the Chelsea squad and worked double sessions every day in order to implement his ideas. The likes of David Luiz and Marcos Alonso have missed that and they are at Chelsea for like what? Two weeks? One of which was an international break. They are both coming from clubs with different tactics than at Chelsea, it's normal for them to first understand what is wanted from them and only then to be playing official matches.
-
Yep, it looks like that. Although I have noticed that this "bin theory" mostly applies when I see pictures from the training with one day before the match. Like today. Or when the matches are on Saturday and the press conference is on Friday and the photographers are allowed at Cobham. Against Swansea (on Sunday) the press conference was on Friday, two days before the match. The media was not allowed at Cobham on Saturday, so the most recent pictures was from Friday. And the "bin theory" did not apply So tomorrow the "bin theory" should apply, although Cesc on the bench makes my eyes bleed

I wasn't talking about that for Christ's sake. Look at City - Guardiola has put his stamp on the team already, they are attacking in numbers, creating lots of chances to score, favour a possession based football, play a super highline etc. You can see the changes. Look at Conte's Chelsea, we are in for something new. Not as much as City, but there is definitely some things that have changed (the intensity in our game, the pressing high up the pitch, the attacking patterns, the use of wingers). Liverpool are also playing something different with Klopp, Tottenham are a proactive team with Pochettino. You can definitely see the managers' influence on their respective teams. What about Mourinho? Everybody blamed the Chelsea players for somehow "sabotaging" their manager, but is there any difference from last September's Chelsea and this United? Mourinho's United? Dodgy win against relegation fodder Hull, dog shite against City and now absolutely awful against Feyenoord. What's he really brought new to this team other than a 200m buying spree? He's as dull and spineless as Van Gaal. Mourinho's plan A is to rely on one of his player's individual brilliance (Hazard). If this does not work, then play hoof ball, throw one of your defenders (Ivanovic) into the opposite area to partner your centre forward (Diego Costa) and see what happens. Tonight against Feyenoord it was Mourinho at his best again Relied on Martial or Pogba to do something. They were dog shite. He then asked Smalling to partner Ibrahimovic for the last 15 minutes.
-
Reckon they'll start picking on him should Chelsea and City win this round and United does not at Watford. Soulless manager and an even uglier team, no ideas, no attacking gameplan, no pressing. He really is Tony Pulis with money, baffles me how someone managing one of world's biggest clubs still sets his team that way. He has regressed in a few years like others in a lifetime, long may this continue, he deserves every bit of it. Such an insult for Guardiola, definitely world's best manager, to still be compared with this fraud. There is at least 10 managers at this point head and shoulders better than Mourinho.

A level above Chelsea, yeah, that's why Arsenal haven't scored a single goal against Chelsea since October 2013

You are absolutely right. I'm sure Guardiola has had his sights set on City, but has taken time to analyze other offers, too. In the end I think it was impossible to choose others over City because of one thing - their squad. What makes Guardiola so unique is that, unlike other managers, he thinks that he can control the game and close the spaces by having the ball. Most of the managers think that in order to be compact and leave no space you need steel in midfield and players with a good work rate. I bet that 95% of the managers in this world would not have started a midfield three of David Silva - Fernandinho - De Bruyne away at United in one of world's most anticipated football game. Most of them would have gone for Fernandinho of course, one of David Silva or De Bruyne and another defensive minded midfielder, Fernando for example. But not Guardiola who does not give a shit if David Silva is not tall enough, or De Bruyne's work rate is average. These players are very good with the ball and that's enough for Guardiola. I'm sure that when Gundogan is going to be fit, too, he will try to integrate all of them into the starting line-up at the same time. Guardiola would be ready to make changes to his tactics in order to have all this ballers on the pitch at the same time, rather than think he is going to disrupt the defensive part of his team. As long as his team is in posession he has nothing to be afraid of. At City he has the likes of Gundogan, David Silva, De Bruyne, Nolito, Sterling, Fernandinho, Sane, all of them superior to Chelsea's midfielders. Out of Hazard and Cesc, maybe Pedro, too, are there any other midfielders in our squad good enough for Guardiola's game plan? Not for me, no. His decision to go to City was the most obvious one. Too bad we lack creativity in midfield, but at the same time Cesc can't get a sniff ahead Oscar and Matic. Such a shame.

It's Liverpool, you know we're probably going to win it in style and then ask ourselves how the hell did we not win against Swansea who is definitely going to get thumped at Southampton. Some things never change. Liverpool score 4 at the Emirates, the scousers are up on their own arse talking trash again, then they go at Burnley and don't even score. Now they put 4 past Leicester, talk trash again, probably talk a lot more trash now after watching Chelsea's result, get pumped up saying how they must beat Chelsea and then next week they are probably going to go back to their usual state, maybe score one while getting beaten by Chelsea. Conte will have them firing from all cylinders on Friday, no matter it's a new defence playing together for the first time or not. It's this game today against Swansea that I am more frustrated about, should not have allowed them to get back in the game.

Think this was a pretty stupid move from him. Aren't the FA ruthless when it comes to this kind of tweets/comments coming from the managers/players? They will fine him for sure, but a suspension is on the cards, too, I think. Anyone else thinking this would be a blessing in disguise though? Terry looks to be out for some time and with Cahill getting suspended (hopefully), it will give us the chance to reshape the defence. Ivanovic would be moved at centre back where he is definitely more comfortable and 10 times better than Cahill and Azpilicueta would take back his natural position. Azpilicueta - Ivanovic David Luiz - Marcos Alonso One can hope.
-
Listen, crocked Gundogan who is a torn ACL ready to happen even in his sleep, is as slow as Fabregas and has a similar work rate, but guess what? Guardiola is going to throw him into his starting line-up the 1st minute the medical team gives him the OK. Why? Because of his passing skills and vision. I cannot understand for my life why Conte wastes his best passer of the ball on the bench................ There is no one in this team better than Fabregas at opening up spaces, Matic and Oscar can't do it, one of them must be sacrificed. Cesc has changed the game completely at Watford, he's done it again today, clearly he can't improve some attributes now when he is nearing 30, but the manager must find ways to complement for his lack of speed and work rate and play him to his strenghts.
-
In all honesty he is the last one to be picking on if you are looking for a scapegoat. I would be more worried of the fact that him and Hazard are the only ones to be lighting the spark in attack at this moment. What does Willian add to this team really? Apart from work rate and a successful cross or two? Cuadrado's loan back to Italy looked like a stupid move from the beginning which I did not understand. Under Conte I bet he'd have added a lot more than Willian in the attacking areas, but I guess it was his choice to go back to Juventus, rather than Conte forcing him out on loan again. Then it's Matic who adds absolutely nothing offensively and Oscar who is the biggest enigma in world football. Maybe in a team where more offensive players would get involved in the game, Diego Costa would have less pressure, but when him and Hazard are pretty much the only players expected to be carrying the team on their shoulders when it comes to attacking play, then for me there is no wonder his antics get to play a big part so often.

Lost two points on our own hand, but fuck me the level of refereeing in this country is abysmal. Amat has had fouls for six yellow cards and the challenge on Cahill, if that is not a blatant foul then I don't know what a foul from behind looks like. Not to mention that Amat's 58 foul in this game, on Ivanovic, from behind, came a minute before Swansea's 2nd. I still can't understand how Chelsea have tanked this. Conte must find a way to bring Cesc back into the starting line-up. His passing and vision is 2nd to none, must play more. First 15 minutes in the 2nd half were hideous, momentum was broken, little to no football. I thought that was when Swansea picked themselves up, whereas Chelsea became lethargic and disconnected from the game. Such a shame after a very good first half.

I'd give Kante a rest for this one to be honest. He's played A LOT last season, plus the Euro in France and he's had a very short summer break. Now he's played every minute for Chelsea and the full 90 minutes in Italy and Belarus for France. Swansea are no world beaters and with a run that includes Liverpool, Leicester and Arsenal coming up, I think now it's the perfect moment to give a player or two some rest. Plus Conte has had Cesc, Oscar and Matic with him at Cobham while others have been on international duty, so who knows, maybe it was easy for him to prepare the midfield battle with all three available. Willian could do with some rest, too, after travelling all over South America a few days ago. I would go for:
-
Mourinho playing dull football (again) with one of the most expensive squads ever???
-
Real Madrid banned from any transfer activity until January 2018.
-
Loftus-Cheek and Chalobah both with a goal & assist for England U-21 today against Norway. Edit: Lew Baker with a goal, too.
-
It's either players that can instantly improve the squad, or no players at all. Conte has made it clear that he won't pay over the odds for average players and he is right. If he trusts this set of players he has now, then be it. It would be a daft thing just to buy average players just for the sake of buying something. Look at Arsenal fans - they are so desperate for new signings that they are at the point where ANY signing would do for them. They've chased all kind of decent players this summer, but they end up with Lucas Perez and Mustafi. Can you believe it? They get excited over Lucas Perez of Deportivo
-
Take it with a pinch of salt though. "Looking for a house in [name the city]" and "Learning [type a language] before his proposed move" are Spanish press' favourite lines. Messi must be native in English and own a few flats in London by now if we go by what Spanish media have said. James is a lost cause and on top of that, the most overrated player of the last few years. Nobody in Madrid has faith in him anymore and they would like to sell him, but the problem is that there is no club willing to match that crazy asking price. All the rumours in the press are mostly lies, leaked by Jorge Mendes who is desperate for a big transfer because Mino Raiola has humiliated him in the market this summer. The only club stupid enough to pay over the odds for this average player is Paris where Jorge Mendes has a lot of influence. But the biggest problem is that Emery knows James' reputation in Spain and would not touch him with a barge pole. The Chelsea rumours are simply lies leaked by Mendes who hopes that Paris will eventually make a move, but the Arabs at the club are leaning towards giving Emery the choice on this, and he has already told them to stay away because James is a mess and not worth the money.

They go to Anfield on 10th of September, then four days later they play their first CL group stage match, then it's Burnley at home on 17th of September, Chelsea at home in the mid-week and then they go to Old Trafford on 24th of September. CL group stage match again a few days later. So pretty much a busy schedule for them in the span of two weeks and a half. Liverpool and United away, Chelsea at home, plus two CL matches. And Burnley at home as well. Think they will most definitely use a mixed team for this one.
