  1. Horrible injury for Falcao today in the French Cup against an amateur side or something like that! He could miss the World Cup in Brasil... At least now we know a name we won't chase with the money we get from Mata. I must admit I was thinking Jose would go for Falcao (amonst others) with that money. Feel sorry for the colombian, such a pitty footballers get injured that bad against waiters, hotel receptionists or fishermen...
  2. i swear i cant stop laughing hahahahahahahahha
  3. It's on, fuck... IN PSG WE TRUST!!!!!!!!!!!!! C'MON YOU FUCKERS, AT LEAST GIVE UNITED A FIGHT FOR JUAN
  4. Or it's just Jose and his mind games, allowing Mata a day off the training pitch, letting the story flourish a bit more knowing he's playing United for fools and eventually he'll call the deal off in the last minute?
  5. http://www.mundodeportivo.com/20140122/atletico-madrid/el-chelsea-planea-un-doble-intercambio-con-el-atletico_54399403859.html Mundo Deportivo saying Chelsea is thinking about proposing Atleti a swap - Lukaku, Courtois (plus some money if needed) for Diego Costa, Filipe Luis. Simeone willing to let those two go and he is interested in Courtois, and Mata too. Why not Mata (valued at £40M) + some money maybe (£5M) for Diego costa (£38M, his release clause) and Filipe Luis (valued at £17M) Or is that Jose wants to get rid of Lukaku and Courtois and in exchange for them he wants two starters without spending a fortune? Filipe at LB (#2 tackler in La Liga this season, by the way) and Diego Costa CF? And those £40M he'll get for Mata will go for JT's replacement? Mangala or any other highly rated CB?
  6. and as a winger too he is a "10", not a fucking winger, you don't pay 40 mil Quid for a playmaker just to waste him on the wings. fucking redcafe and fucking man u fans, they don't even know his natural position. Hope this transfer story will last a bit long so that Jose can call it off in the last minute.
  7. I think this is a rhetorical question. Of course he has played there before. He was a defensive right winger in his Benfica days, just when Jesus came in 2009. He implemented that 4-1-3-2 formation with Javi Garcia as a DM, Rami as a RW, Di Maria LW, Aimar the playmaker and Saviola and Cardoso the two center forwards. He's played there for Chelsea several times too. Now if you say he looks bad when playing there (wich is the other meaning I understand from your question), than this is another topic of discussion. But, yes, Rami is a winger too.
  8. I think we're pretty much covered if we think about the way Chelsea is playing right know, this 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 formation. We have: DM/CM/AM - Matic, Rami, Essien, Mikel, Lamps, Oscar (Baker and David Luiz can step up too at DM/CM and Willian and Hazard at AM) LW - Hazard, Schurrle (Willian is a natural LW and Eto'o played there for Inter) RW - Willian (Hazard, Rami, Schurrle, Oscar) Maybe there is no natural back-up for the RW, but it's not like Eden can only play as a LW, or Willian as a RW or Rami as a central midfielder, they are all versatile players that can go to different parts of the pitch without affecting their performances. I'd rather give some bench time to Charly Musonda, or Boga, to introduce them into the first team atmosphere, rather than buying someone in this transfer window.
  9. Mehdi Benatia is an absolute beast! A fucking rock at the back, that Benatia - Castan partnership is unplayable. I just hope Jose keeps tabs on them, Benatia is a must in the summer if he keeps playing like this. I'd definitely think about him (amongst others) when it comes to JT's replacement.
  10. He ain't going anywhere in this transfer market just because the season is long and we're in need of some back-up attacking midfielders now that De Bruyne is gone. I can't predict the future though, but I really think he'll go somewhere else in the summer. He won't get a starting spot ahead of Oscar and Willian, that I can guarantee you, but at the same time he ain't no bench player. He has to go and he will, but I feel that now it's not the time, when we're challenging for the title and FA Cup and we're through to the next phase in UCL. An injury to Oscar or Willian, God forbid, would be a big blow and we need decent replacements such as Mata and Schurrle (at least now when we're in the title race) But the funniest thing here is that, even when Chelsea is playing maybe the best football in a couple of years, some of you would sacrifice Oscar or Willian just to see their favourite player in. I do love Mata too, I'm a big fan and I enjoy watching him in action, but if something it's not broken, why fix it? Team's doing just well, we're in the title race, we're getting better and better by every day and all this w/o Mata on the pitch. He is a part of our recent history and I'm pointing to that Champions League campaing two seasons ago, but some of you must understand he didn't win that trophy by himself. The entire team won that trophy, with him being part of that beautiful story. But there's life after Mata too and we just have to watch how we're doing in this season to realize this. Jose is not a fool - he sold KDB and bought Matic, he'll sell Mata and buy a replacement, he'll get rid of Torres and Demba Ba and will bring a world-class striker. That's how it works at Chelsea. Roman is in no need of money and be sure those 37 mil quid will go somewhere else for other player. Some months ago I would have thought if someone will ofer 20-25 mil for him would be a good deal, but now, 37, oh boy, that's the real deal and allows us to go out there and bid for a world-class striker.
  11. hope Nacer Kelaify, or whoever is in charge at PSG, is not banging his deluxe broads right now and reads this rumours on his funky gold made smartphone, gets mad and chooses to outbid United, or make a similar bid, why not. Or Roman could sort out something with his friend in Monaco . Can't see Jose strengthening another rival, but maybe this is a way he is showing others (PSG, Monaco, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid) Mata is available.
  12. I think he had a decent first half as a target man, but then he disappeared from the game as Martinez chose to change his tactics and defend that slender lead. I was really hoping Everton will push for a top4 place this season, but now I don't know if they are able to do it. Unfortunately, Liverpool/Tottenham will grab a Champions League spot... Right now, I'd wish United would have been higher in the standings, maybe three points behind Liverpool and Tottenham so that they can give them a real fight for that spot. As much as I hate United, I really can't stand Liverpool and Tottenham and their deluded fans.
  13. pretty sure I've seen this pic in a southampton related article in daily mail a couple of days ago
  14. I read an interview he did for Cadena Cope last night and he said he'll be staying here until the end of the season and then he'll be going back to Mallorca, play a season or two and finish his career there.
  15. And he keeps getting better and better, but at the same time we have to agree that with Azpilicueta at LB, Hazard isn't having the same impact on the game as playing with Ash, or a proper LB. Still, I'm happy for Dave because he deserves playing week-in, week-out, he's a great lad and he seems to be one of those guys Jose enjoys working with.
  16. I think the De Bruyne to Wolfsburg deal should have been done and dusted days ago and I must reckon something else is happening there. Maybe a last minute decision from Jose and a swap deal proposition from Chelsea involving KDB and Rodriguez? Who knows... Rodriguez can't be valued more than €20M, maybe, let's say, €25M. Same goes for KDB.
  17. Matic was supposed to be 40-50M and he is here for half of it. I'm sure Jose will figure something out for Mangala too. If he's still interested in the guy, of course.
  18. Heard Essien's agent talking about a move to AC Milan. “We have not yet opened any direct talks with AC Milan but this does not mean he cannot move to Italy. Clearly this is a great opportunity for my player. Milan are still in the running in the Champions League and are a great club, despite the difficulties of the moment. “[Essien] is fine and wants to play ahead of the World Cup, where he intends to do well with Ghana. We are fascinated by the Milan hypothesis and, from here to the end of the month, we want to explore all the requirements.” Can see this happening to be honest now with the arrival of Matic. Maybe Nate will fill in that spot? Still, with Jose's friend in charge at Boro we might see some players going there in the next transfer windows
  19. fuck yeaaaaaaaaaaah!!! NEMANJA O TANQUE SERVIO my mood right now
  20. Well, Alex, you do this kinds of things when you're in a really bad rush to sign the guy, just like Arsenal did with Ozil, but that's not the case with Matic, I guess. As for the medical tests (blood tests especially) they are only done in the morning because your body has to be "clean" after a proper sleep - no food before a medical test, no coffee, no cigarettes etc. So tomorrow it is. Welcome back Nemanja! I'd go with Matic Rami - Willian Oscar Hazard for the next years. Time for some consistency in our midfield for two or three seasons in a row, with the likes of van Ginkel, Chalobah, Baker, Loftus-Cheek, Bertrand Traore, Piazon, Atsu coming as subs and starting to pick up minutes.
  21. isn't Rob Beasley the one saying last summer "Stay tuned for some big news on Chelsea. Big signing coming up, i'll post it to my twitter account at 11 o'clock" and in the end it was someone pending a new contract? If so, I'm sure it is about Ash, JT and Lamps
  22. First it was Matic, now Zouma and we're only two weeks in 2014. Gotta be a great year, I can feel it
  23. With Arsenal at 51 points, City at 50 (assuming they will win their games, and they will) and with a game at the Etihad coming? Can't see Jose settle for a draw here, we would be fools thinking of anything else than a win here
