It seems Benfica is in need of money and they are willing to let some players go this winter. They have already opened talks with United for Garay and Zenit for Rodrigo. Hope will be in for Matic in the next days too. I'm a bit concerned with City wanting him too, but I'm willing on his wish to come back and prove he is a Chelsea material. Time for Emenalo to pay for his mistake and give the guy the chance that he deserves.

fuck TFC, outbid them and offer Roma £70million plus Hazard and Mata and bring this world class dlp where he belongs. Fucking pricks they thought they could steal the ultimate dlp from us

He has agreed terms for a new two-year deal at Madrid. Heard PSG was offering him a three-year deal worth €10m per year. Would have been a great addition for us, but even if he would have been available I don't think Chelsea was willing to pay that money for his contract. Now let's focus on bringing Matic here.

You must be kidding when replacing Willian with De Maria and thinking that Coentrao will ever get near this team or Stamford Bridge.

Madrid is a whole new team since he has come back from his injury and he was in superb form since then, he is truly the Commanding General in that area of the field for Madrid. Still world class, no doubt about it and he has fully recovered from that surgery he suffered in the summer, but now he has to deal with another problem - he has picked up a knock in his ear during the game against Valencia last month and his eardrum was ruptured. Although everything seemed to be ok, he is now dealing with another problem as "he feels uncomfortable and his ear hurts everytime there is noise around him" (quote from Carlo). This is why he was substituted at half time against Celta de Vigo, because of the noise inside the stadium that he couldn't deal with. He is out for the next game and he will undergo further tests on that eardrum problem.

Mate, I read that article in O Jogo yesterday about Benfica willing to let Matic go in this transfer window. O Jogo was saying Benfica decided to let him go because of the early Champions League exit and some financial problems the club is dealing with. What about those financial problems? What is all about? O Jogo say that the sale of Matic would ease financial pressures and give Benfica some fiscal breathing space for a while. Now, with all this financial problems I don't think anyone will pay 30m, maybe 20-22m will be the right price since Benfica is in need for some money. Also the article said Benfica will listen to offers only after the game against Porto this week-end.

There is no point in talking about Diego Costa being an unproven player. He has lived in the shadow of Falcao and everybody wanted to see if he can hit the jackpot now that Falcao is gone. And he did. Diego Costa is a beast. Falcao was a joy to behold in his Atletico Madrid days and he was maybe a better finisher than Diego Costa, but Costa offers more to this Atletico team. He's not just a poacher, he is a complete forward - he likes to pass the ball, he likes to dribble, he drops deep to get his balls and, my God, his off-the-ball game is unbelievable. He is a nightmare for every defender and I think this Chelsea team suits him best as we're not looking for a poacher, we're looking for a hard working Wayne Rooney type of striker that can be all kinds of things in a game - a poacher, a "10", an "8" and Diego Costa has all this attributes. And another thing: this guy is the Ramires of strikers - his tank is always full and he is always ready to take on opponents. You don't score 23 goals in 21 apps by luck. He is La Liga's topscorer, above the likes of Cristiano, Messi and Benzema. You score 10, let's say 12 goals by luck, but not 23. I think this topic should be closed for now and opened back in the summer because I don't think there is any chance he'll leave in this transfer window. Atletico is fighting for the championship and they welcome Barcelona next week and they will have a chance for sure in case of a positive result. And I don't even know if Costa wants a new challenge now when he is having the time of his life and with the World Cup coming too. Let him net another 15-20 goals this season and trigger his release clause just before the World Cup starts so you don't have to worry about his price exploding in case he is having a hell of a tournament. Or trigger his release clause now, convince him to sign and let him on loan at Atletico for the rest of the season.

fuck me, £50 million for higuain? as much as i hate de laurentiis for the cavani saga, i just hope he'll do the same thing this time too and reject every bid out there. with diego costa available for £32 million how the hell we're even thinking about higuain? costa might not be available in this transfer window, but i'd rather have him in the summer and stick with eto'o, torres and ba untill then, than having higuain near this team.

even if janujaz would win united the league by himself and all those belgians around the globe would have a perfect season, hazard would still be a starter for belgium. he'd even be in the starting line-up even if he'd leave for maldives tomorrow and arrive in brazil with a half an hour before belgium's first game. he is for belgium what cristiano is for portugal, ibrahimovic for sweden and so on. it's hazard we're talking about, not chadli, so that can januzaj threaten his place in the belgium starting line-up

not a fan of video games, but i've had a few seasons with chelsea in football manager 2014. played de bruyne as a CM. two seasons - about 100 games, 10 goals and 90 assists. two times in a row ballon d'or winner, best player in europe two times in a row and world player of the year two times in a row. closest thing to messi you'll find in the game in terms of technique, passing, first touch, dribbling, crossing, creativity, flair (all above 19). haha
-
you have to get used to it from now on, every chelsea fc target will be a man city target too and vice versa. i'd fancy having zouma too, it simply reminds me of kompany in his anderlecht days
-
someone should tell those moaning wankers at rawk that even their own idols sakho and coutinho wanted a piece of chelsea fc and asked eto'o and oscar for their shirts

i saw earlier today that France's top court approved a proposal for companies to pay 75 percent tax on annual salaries exceeding one million euros in line with President Francois Hollande's drive to limit executive pay at a time of economic hardship. not the final decision though, but some say this decision was the last piece of the puzzle before making things happen. this will be a huge, huge blow as teams in ligue 1 won't be capable of paying big money anymore. i think now it's the perfect time to make a move on falcao. we're not stupid, even though french media and as monaco are trying to play us for fools telling he's injured - he's unsettled there, he's not happy, he hasn't played a lot in the last few games even though his injury was not a big deal. heard glenn hoddle (ex as monaco!) saying today he's not happy there and he's trying to find a way out. hope jose will sort this out, i'd love having this beast leading our attack.
-
wow, look at gazzetta dello sport writing about chelsea offering €50mil + david luiz for higuain. transfer rumours related to chelsea fc are sooooooo fucked up this days, but the saddest thing is that people are actually paid in real money to write this kind of bullshit. chelsea to offer €60mil for higuain was the best joke of december so far, but this one today beats it big big time
-
i'm having a look at every liverpool fc forum out there and their confidence level ahead of this game is beyond imagination. they are challenging for a place in the top4 after a long long time and now they think they are the ultimate football team out there. fucking wankers, can't stand this team and their deluded fans, hope jose will teach them a lesson. chelsea champions and liverpool out from the top4 would be the best news in may

i think it is my first time when writing about nemanja, but let me tell you a little story back in february 2009 i was in turkey, right when teams from romania were playing some friendly matches just before starting the championship again (because of the big winter pause in the romanian championship - during from december to march - romanian teams tend to go to warmer places to play some friendly matches). nemanja matic was playing at that time for mfk kosice and i had the chance to watch the slovaks play twice against cfr cluj and rapid bucharest. he played first against cfr cluj and he scored a nice goal from a free-kick, and then he played against rapid bucharest where he was simply faultless, terrific display in the midfield area and i remember he was a beast in the air, he won every header. i was in the stands at both games and i had a chat with an official from kosice and i asked him about this lad. even though it was a friendly match you could have seen he'll end up being a great player. i didn't knew anything about matic, it was the 2nd time when watching him play and that kosice official i was talking to said to me big clubs are monitoring him with chelsea ready to offer the right money to sign him. (joking a little bit, i said to myself: "hmmmm, not bad, if i'm able to recognize such a talent seeing him only twice, and friendly matches too, it means my scouting skills are not bad at all" ) three or four months later he signed for chelsea and now it is beyond my logic how chelsea let him go w/o putting a buy-back clause in his contract or something like this. i haven't watched him that much in his benfica days, but some say he's better than witsel was when playing for benfica, others say he is benfica's best midfielder right now, but the fact is we need a player like him now and i'd be glad if chelsea would sign him (again!).
-
tonight's 4-3-3 is the way to go. if playing (solid) like this week in, week out means benching mata, oscar and other fans favourites so be it, i don't care as long as we're winning or taking a point (w/o conceding!!!) away at one of the best teams in epl this season. ffs sunderland and stoke have scored for fun against us and now, when we're rock solid at the back, people are still moaning... two games at the bridge now, hopefully two wins and let the title battle begin!
-
more and more rumours saying he has a buy-out clause of €38 million are coming. if that's true, i think the price is fair. every striker atletico touched so far turned to gold - bobo vieri, kun aguero, torres, falcao, forlan. and let's not forget jimmy. diego costa could be our next hasselbaink.
-
eto'o and demba ba didn't do any harm to john o'shea and wes fucking brown, what makes you think torres will be better against mertesacker and vermaelen? i'll be over the moon if we'll manage to concede only once and grab a draw here
-
try and read that fucking sentence again. i didn't say draxler is the piece of the puzzle we're missing, but if i can get one of the best football talents in the world by swaping him for one of the shitest chelsea players this seasons that couldn't even dribble the swindon town players and 10 more million then let's fucking do this business, right here, right now, can't miss this opportunity. and don't say de bruyne was at the same level as draxler is when he came first to chelsea because you would be talking utter shite, now stop defending de bruyne, he's had his chances and he blew them all, he needs a new challenge or he'll end up just like borini, di santo and kakuta
-
i feel sorry for the lad, he might be a real talent, can't deny that, but he's not chelsea material in my eyes. €10mil plus kevin de bruyne for draxler looks like the real deal now. let's just hope schalke is willing to do this piece of business
-

i don't know if you've heard this before, but he has not renewed his contract with madrid yet. things are unclear for the moment and there is quite a hesitation from both xabi and madrid wheter to renew this contract or not - usually a club like real madrid is not waiting that much to renew an agreement and that made xabi having second thoughts and, apparently, thinking about a new experience. rumours or not, but spanish newspapers say ancelotti would be about the only one from the entire club who wants xabi to continue in madrid... for those who have not watched him this season, he has been in superb form so far, real madrid is a completely new team since he came back after that injury and i think now it's the time for jose to do his magic and bring a world class partner for ramires.
