Then why not just sold him and sign a better player at CDM if that is the case. Or is that unthinkable because he had a good debut season last year? A wannabe CDM will never be as good as a true CDM obviously. No, I don't think Lampard is a CDM and he is ineffective there, why he is in the team however is because he is a winner who is capable of magic moments and he knows where the back of the net is.

You forgot we also have Hazard but again very good post.
-
CL final miss? And vital moments are like that Drogba header in CL final, Drogba last min goal against MU FA Cup 2006...etc a moment of brilliance.
-
Pivot is basically CDM
-
AT THE MOST VITAL MOMENT, I never said he doesn't have it in him. In fact, he showed a few time why he is our favorite player with games against MU and Spurs
-
Yeah the Thiago value is way more, that is why I said IF it comes to selling Kevin for 15 and get Thiago for 18 then I am happy with it. I know we can afford easily, but we don't have enough place to fit all of them. And like I said all of these are based on recent rumors and I was hypothesizing different possible scenarios
-
Here we go again, another member blinded because it is a Chelsea player being talked about. I said IF, not I want to. Are you saying he is better than Thiago and you would rather have him here? I only said if because a few weeks ago there was a rumor about Dourtmund wanting to buy Kevin for 15m and their general manager just said yesterday that Kevin wants to come there.

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel looks set to complete a move to join Galatasaray after publicly stating that the two sides are in advanced talks and that he is hoping to move to the Istanbul club imminently according to a number of sources including Turkish outlet Sabah. The 26 year old battler is quoted as saying that he hopes to join his former Blues team-mate Didier Drogba and is looking forward to making the move to the Super Lig champions, stating; “I’m very pleased with Galatasaray’s offer,” Mikel told Turkish newspaper, Sabah. “I asked Drogba for advice and he told me that Istanbul is a fantastic city, that Galatasaray is a huge club and that I have to make the move. “I have played at Chelsea for a long time and it’s now time for me to leave. “I’m still only 26 and it’s great to receive an offer from a club [Galatasaray] playing Champions League football and doing well in the competition.” Mikel said, “Talks have reached an advanced level between Chelsea and Galatasaray. Chelsea won’t make the move difficult and regarding my salary there won’t be a problem. “All that is left is for the clubs to reach an agreement.” Mikel joined Chelsea from Norwegian side FK Lyn in a deal said to be worth around £21m back in 2006 and has gone to become a pivotal member of the Blues squad, racking up 277 appearances for the West London side. The tough tackling midfielder appears to feel the time is right to move on and has perhaps been led to believe that returning Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is looking to bring in alternative defensive midfield options this summer. John Obi Mikel has won a host of honours during his seven years at Stamford Bridge, including a Premier League title, four FA Cup triumphs, a Champions League and Europa League winners medal. Mourinho may look to Michael Essien to take his first choice defensive midfield spot having brought the Chelsea man to Real Madrid on a season long loan spell last season.

If we sell Kevin for 15m euros and buy this guy for 18m, I am all for it.

Straight swap with Torres will do... naaah they are not stupid, are they?

I don't know, just heard he was linked with them in the newspaper so I put their name there but you get the point.
-
No that is not it, the x-factor is like when he scored against MU late last season but there are too few moment of that to talk about. Taking a corner mean nothing, it just happens to find our player's head and go in, that corner could have been taken by Azpliculetta and the result will probably be the same.
-
Not as pacey as Hazard. Very good vision though and not a bad finisher either. However one thing concerning about Mata is that he doesn't have the nerve, bottled quite a few penalties and just seem to not have that x-factor at the most vital moment like Drogba. Not unsellable again imo, if Jose want him and we get at least £45m, he could go and we should sign Thiago/Isco to replace if he leaves. However one of our best player atm, understandably why some fans would hate to lose him.
-
Bench warmer at best, not the worst in the world but no where near good enough either. If we get £10m then must sold this guy, hell even Romeu is catching up to him now and some people think they are on par already. Never reached his potential and never will, shame imo.
-
He is wasted on the wing, best position is CAM. Modric is more mobile though, he ain't got that in him yet. To be fair Mata could play on the wing imo even though it would reduce his effectiveness, Oscar would be able to perform the best of his ability.
-
Not unsellable by any mean as some make out here, occasionally scores a few brilliant goals but often has at least 1-2 errors in him every matches, some time costly. If we get £40m and Jose don't want him, must be sold. If only he could keep his trait while gaining Thiago Silva's defending ability, he will be the best CB in the world for many years to come.
-
He got these options for the coming season: 1. Score load of goals and impress in every single pre-season matches and Jose might give him one final chance 2. Stay but become our own Kaka, bench warming for the rest of his Chelsea career as long as Mourinho is here 3. Leave on loan to some team like Atletico, Napoli and try to recover a small part of his best form because it will never come back in one piece 4. Leave permanently to some team like Barcelona and we can delete this topic or never abuse him again 4 is the desirable option for many Chelsea fans including myself.

A talented player but mind blowing to think some people want him to play CDM, dafuq?

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8784587/Transfer-news-Napoli-s-Edinson-Cavani-still-unsure-of-future-but-eyes-big-club Slowly changing his tone I guess, gone from clear naming Madrid to 'biggest clubs in the world'

Last summer, the Hazard saga was worse. However it only started in like March when he said he wanted to leave so it concluded 3 months later pretty quickly. This time the saga starts right when the season just ended so it is gonna feel like a long time.

Every single word is right in this post, well done bro.

At least 2nd in BPL, missing out by less than 3 points. At least semi of CL unless we play Bayern or Barca in knock out/quarter final. Win at least FA Cup or Capital One Cup
