Don't worry £40m offer coming our way for Luiz
-
And we will probably back out as they will offer him like £150k per week.
-
Really don't think he is good enough to be our no1 striker, by the look of thing he is a poor man Suarez, very similar player but he is not as clinical in front of goal and his history with injury is not good either. £25m seems too much of a risk for a player like him.
-
No that still won't be enough to overcome us, MU and City. They need a Higuain type striker to stand a chance.
-
Seeing Cavani is gone, he is now our best option. Shame we won't get him.
-
Never gonna come here LOL, just made up bullshit.
-
So we got one of the best GK in the world and the best young GK in the world, yet still gonna pay top money for a decent back up? Make no sense what so ever, £10m is A LOT FOR A GK.
-
It got to a point where any player who is getting over £100k or cost more than £20m is a bad buy. Everyone is trying to act as if something has changed dramatically from the way we used to do things and that top players would still come to us on reduced wages/lower fees for their club. You all forgot Hazard costs £32m and on £170k per week, David Luiz wasn't cheap either, Mata cost £20-£25m, Schurrle who is just potential COSTS £17M and probably on like £50-£60k per week. Yet a proven world class player like De Rossi at his peak we wouldn't be able to get for £40-£50m now is suddenly not even worth £20m and doesn't deserve £100-£120k per week.
-
And he is competing directly WITH LUKAKU for a spot in national team, if one of them win the other will be benched because we are only using 1 striker in the formation and 1 as back up.
-
Well he is worth at least £40m anyway so they are right.

OK so eventually we lose as expected because we tried to negotiate and save a few million instead of activating that clause. Who is next? Rooney is not for sale, Gomez is heading to Fiorentina, Jovetic is not good enough to be our no1 striker, Soldado is not what we need, Higuain is heading to Arsenal and Mourinho doesn't really fancy him that much either, Ibra is probably not going to leave unless he hands in a transfer request or something, Negredo is not good enough, Lewandowski/Suarez doesn't want to come here, Bony is really not our club's standard So now we got Martinez and Benteke left, one doesn't want to leave while the other is just like Lukaku. And that is about it, we ran out of top options to sign.
-
Maybe more too but I suppose it depends entirely on his life style and fitness. Usually a CDM can play at top level until 35 or so if he is really world class like Pirlo...etc
-
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/rooney-could-good-ronaldo-bothered-gym-093958084.html Things like this is why some people here don't want him.
-
We are not paying the price for the amount of trophies Cavani won, we are paying it for his ability and potential. And he still won a couple of Copa Italia and Italy super cup I think. The other guy just won everything last season. I am not saying that is right amount either, he is worth at least £40m and max is £50m, you saying him worth £25m is just ridiculous
-
One of the top scorer in Europe will NEVER LEAVE FOR £25M, hell even Mario Gomez is worth £20m alone hahahahhahahahahhahahahahhaha
-
MU wouldn't sell to us for £40m, let alone £25m. They don't sell their best players to rival clubs.
-
If you want to know about where PSG's money are coming from for the new FFP http://dohanews.co/post/38452290600/reports-psg-qatar-tourism-authority-enter-800#ixzz2XuCqDuwU
-
Then people on here would settle for Mario Gomez, Soldado and all that, don't worry.
-
Don't forget we just released a bunch of crap players who were each on average take up like £50-£80k each. It wouldn't be a problem if we offer Cavani like £180-£200k and if Torres leaves then it is very probable.
-
Which we can offer more...so yeah I guess you are right
-
To be fair he was never gonna leave for less than £45m anyway. His performance in Confederation just basically meant that he was deem worth at least £50m now which I have to agree with.
-
In fact this was what I knew would happen all along and feared, some team will come in and bid £50m for him while we would miss out, so it will soon come true.
-
Well since they have bid £50m, we might as well activate that clause of £53m now. No point negotiating anymore, just pay that £3m and end this once and for all.
-
And he would want £250k compare to Cavani £140k, over time the total fee would be pretty much similar.
