  1. a bit relaxed finally since we had Thursday and Friday off of school much needed days off work!!
  2. Happy Birthday, Chelsea!! :blue scalf:
  3. I realized how glad I am not to live in Memphis or the Midwest (US) anymore. Over the weekend the area had over 90 tornados and a lot of damage and devestation. I remember one night when the tornado sirens went off all night long although that didn't panic me as much as when the automated phone message from the town would be sent out. When the phone rang in the middle of a stormy night you knew we were in the direct path of the storm and a tornado had been spotted. We were blessed never to have hit our neighborhood. My heart goes out to all those affected and especially the families suffered personal losses. One poor woman is the only member of her family still alive, she lost her parents and her children (one of which was literally sucked out of her arms!). How unimaginably horrible that must have been.
  4. Hey From what I have heard the tour will start in mid-July (after the Euros) but the dates haven't been released yet. Chelsea has a big following in the US and the best place to get information for the tour is through Chelsea in America. The president of the club, Beth, is great at keeping us updated on the tour and there will be sections for the supporters club at each of the games. I will try and make the game in DC but since I will only be in the US for the month of July, I am not sure if it will work out for me. I'll post an update as soon as I hear anything!
  5. oh no! I hope things improve!! Take care Absolutely worn out and glad it's Friday and next week is only 3 days! On the other had I only have 25 days left of supply teaching and that is a wonderful feeling since the schedule is awful!
  6. You're welcome! I used to work in virology so I know a bit about the disease but it's been many years. I had to drag the memory banks for that little bit! LOL With the nerves already sensitive, I can imagine that it would be uncomfortable having anything rub on it. I would guess that the pharmacist though you were too young to have shingles since it is typically people with very weak immune systems (transplant patience or cancer patients) or older folks (like me) that get them. Stress can also trigger them in people of all ages. Take care
  7. I've heard they can be quite painful. It is bad enough when you get chicken pox but shingles is worse because the virus (varicella zoster) has laid dormant in your nerve endings. They say you can feel like you have the flu without a fever. The good news is that typically you only have it once. Hope you feel better soon.
  8. Hopeful! Chelsea will be in the US in July and so will I!! Heard the games will be in LA, NYC, and DC. Now, I am crossing my fingers that I will be able to go to a game!
  9. me too! And i do use it daily! I think my favorite test question and answer (but reportedly is just a joke): My favorite comment on a test was when the professor stapled a McDonald's application to the test before handing it back! (A friend of a friend had this happen)
