Just for the sake of boosting my own sad ego, I though I would let you all know that I will be in the Audiance for BBC Question Time 2morrow if anyone actually cared.

Manchester City's Carlos Tevez has failed a fitness test, so Edin Dzeko is the lone striker. From BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9430567.stm

Well the thing is unlike Iraq, this has full UN backing and the suprise is that countries that would normally stop or slow down the process such as China or Russia have decided to abstain rather then veto it, so make of it what you will.
-
So were you condemning the uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia as rebel armies trying to provoke a dictator? Do you follow Libyan state TV?
-
Yes I know your political views very well and have had many arguments with it. Unfortuantly the Cold war was a period where both the USA and the Sovient Union wanted to either stop the spread of Capitalism or Comunism. So to say that the US is the only country that overthrows regimes that it does not agree with is totally naive. Like I said world poltics is a complecated issue and every country will have some keen on looking at their own interest. Unfortunatly war is never pretty but as long as their is man there will be conflict.

Well its visually obvious what Gadaffi is doing unlike intelligence reports which state words like may and might. It is obvious what he is doing, but the death toll will go up if we did or did not do anything. Unfortuantly that is the harsh realities of military but dont kid yourself that if Gaddafi were to stop the uprising that he would just leave it like that. Unfortuantly he would commit mass killings and crush many in the east for going against his authority. In truth I would much prefer the Arab league deal with Libya and other problems in the middle east themselves, if they want to prove themselves as a sufficient international organisation. Unfortunatly they are pretty useless and cant do anything without external help - such is the shame.

World politics is a very complicated nd ufortunatly is not a case of "good guys on one side and the bad guys in the other". Every country in the world will do something that is for their interest and countires and leaders have to deal hands with people they would rather not. The only reason the no fly zone was implemented was that has backing from the Arab league and according to the UN their is sufficent evidence that Gadaffi is commiting crimes against humanity. Last time I checked the USA and Uk are not openly slaughtering their own people for having a diiferent pollitical opinions. If people are going to compare this to other conflicts then Iraq is not the best comparison. Libya seems to be more like Kosovo in terms of UN response and the types of war crimes that have been committed.

Bahrain and Yemen are much more complicated situations then people in this country think. With Bahrain its much more complicated then Tunisia and Egypt; having a clear consensus of people from all creeds and beliefs coming together for democratic change. Instead Bahrain has much more deeper religious tensions between the Sunni and Shia muslim groups, so intervening could become incredibly messy especially if Iran decides to join in. Unfortunatly with Yemen there is some evidence that groups of protestors have Al-qaeda links, so unfortunatly many will take a "the enemy of the enemy is my friend" approach. The biggest thing that is going with Libya and the reason why the No-fly zone is being implemented is that the Arab league gave its full support to it. I can't see them doing the same to the other two due to the religious and poltical tensions that are rooted deep in that area. Anyway, I can't help but think cynically that some of the people who are either complaining that we should not bother with Libyan matters or claiming that we only care about their resources would be throwing their arms out in disgust if no one did anything and allowed Gadaffi to crush and destroy anyone who went against him.

This was always going to be a lose - lose situation for Western nations and leaders, damned if you do damned if you don't in every case.

It took 7 games for Dennis Bergkamp to get his first goal for Arsenal and 9 games for Thierry Henry to score his first goal. Now they are both considered Arsenal legends, so don't brush of Torres just yet.

Meh... A professional CL performances, are some people never happy?

To be honest I will be happy with a draw. I fear that if we lose this game then the whole atmosphere will turn into "CHELSEA IN DEEP, DEEP CRISIS" all over again. Exactly what happened when we were beaten by Liverpool.
