if we play him as a RW, he will be really fast on the bench. lacks pace and speed for RW position. and also isnt a big dribbler neither. de bruyne as a RW is a complete waste
schweinstiger was mostly mediocre as a RW...in the centre he is 100 times better.

Oscar plays out of position every game, and has hardly had a break the past 12 months, hard to just say KDB is better than him.

That was a proper smash and grab lol we were finding it difficult to string 3 passes together at times.
Luiz and Ramires were astonishingly poor! Luiz is not a midfielder for fucks sake he is a defender and a great one at that. Hope Jose/the next manager realises this.
Anyway the biggest problem is the pivot. In most games we simply can't get a hold of things because there is no balance in any way shape or form
Torres was very good! Had a few great runs down the middle, similar to his goal. We were rubbish going forward so can't blame that on him because there was simply no channel from defence to attack. Held the ball up ok for someone who's not suited for that tactic. His whining may annoy at times, but you can see that it does sway refs to give more fouls in our favour which was badly needed yesterday considering the ref wasn't giving anything to us at all.

That's something i really "hate" about us. We never do any 'deals'. We could of bought vertonghen and Dembele for 24? M pound. Everyone who has seen them play before going to the spurs knew they are (almost) on a world class level. With those 2 signings we would be playing for the titel in my opinion.

Going to be honest, not been impressed with him in the last few games. Sure he broke the record and congrats for that but his general play has been quite poor. Slowed a few attacks down tonight, eventually ended up going backwards due to Benfica recovering and that.

Perfect way to end his career here. He can go get his big paycheck in America/China now, and we can bring de bruyne back from his loan and get a true pivot player to make that role their own.

In my humble opinion, Benfica outplayed us. We were poor. Had a goal wrongly ruled offside, outplayed us for the majority of the game and generally kept the ball flowing and held onto the ball a lot better than we did. Nevertheless, this is what is so special about us as a club. Our backs may be against the wall but we still somehow manage to pull it out of the bag. 11 trophies in 10 years, the most successful team in England in the last 10 years - what a wonderful achievement.
Torres delightfully surprised me with his excellent performance. I thought he was really good despite lack of service; he still chased a lot of lost causes and took his goal really well - credit to the lad. My man of the match.
Ivanovic, my word, what a header. It was even better than Didier's last season (but obviously didn't mean as much as Didier's did) - the technique, elevation, the way he picked his spot even though there was hardly any pace on the ball was wonderful. Great finish Branislav. Bane was quite solid defensively as well bar that last minute gaff where he was spared his blushes by Cahill who I thought was poor throughout the whole game save his last ditch tackle in the last minute.
We were so lopsided as a team today, had no basic structure in our general play at all - Hazard was a big loss today. However, we still got stuck in and won. This is a winning club - something the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool fans are jealous of. Spurs fans have no right to say we have no history when it is a fact that we've won more trophies than them:

I don't know whos been better this season out of De Gea and Courtois.
De Gea this season has been outstanding for United as Thibaut has been for Atleti since going there.
I feel Courtois would need a loan in England to adapt as De Gea struggled with the physicality of the league when he first took over in goal for United. I mean look at De Gea now physically in comparison to him when he was in Spain. Hes much stronger and bigger which Courtois might need to do to deal with certain aspects of the league.
