The numbers are closer than people think. It’s Trump and there are lots of racists that don’t like admitting to pollsters that they are voting for one.

I kind of realize that Havertz may be a team player and not individualistic. Pulisic last season could play Lampards individualistic role easily because he could hold onto the ball and dribble easily.
Havertz on the other hand needs the style of play to be right, he needs forward runners, he needs one twos and triangle setups on the pitch which Lampard doesn't coach the team on right now.
I would love to see him play with Gilmour and Kovacic at the base of our midfield. Both can dribble under pressure and Gilmour loves to give forward passes to runners. That will allow Havertz to make more runs off the ball like he did in Germany since Kante cant seem to complete a forward pass and Jorginho controls tempo by passing backwards to defenders, leaving our full backs as the only way Chelsea advance the ball forward from the back.

I think a lot of people find Trump abhorrent. Many in the GOP hate him as well. What some conservatives are not getting is that this is not Bush II that we hate him because he's a GOP president... it goes way beyond disagreeing with someone's policies. I don't even find comedians who mock trump funny, because having a terrible person like him as the president of the USA is just so sad.
Now, the batshit crazy judge isn't entirely on trump. That's mostly Moscow Mitch and his "pact" that puts party above country.
Taking the elections slightly aside for a moment, and the problem here is becoming of representation. Perhaps we will be able to fix some of that by election day (talking about congress too), but if not, representation will get even more skewed towards the minority. In other words, congress, white house, and now the supreme court will always side with the minority on most issues. Although you are definitely right to be concerned, I suspect going back in LGBTQ's rights will be so unpopular that they may not dare go there (they only have a fraction of conservatives on these issues). On the other hand, they did vote for Citizens United, because corporations are people too.   
We are witnessing the making of an authoritarian president - don't think he's too shy about that.

For those not aware, there have been major protests in Nigeria calling for the abolition of a controversial police unit called SARS, short for the Special Anti-Robbery Squad. It was formed back in the 80s to tackle armed robbery in urban areas targeting banks and convoys... However in recent years it has devolved into a rogue unit that extorts innocent civilians on the road, and it has been linked with many extra-judicial detentions and killings. They specifically target young people based on spurious reasons (hairstyle, dress, car being driven), wrongly labeling many as fraudsters.

So in recent days there have been numerous peaceful protests across different cities in Nigeria calling for their abolishment, at levels not seen since the early 90s. The government have a strangle hold on the major TV stations so they initially refused to cover the protests, hence the youths have deliberately paralyzed several choke points in different states in the country, in order to force attention to the issue. In addition, the youth led protests have been given attention by Afrobeats musicians and celebrities who now have more of a following outside the country. The government initially acquiesced to the demands by declaring the end of the unit, but then created another unit called "SWAT". There are concerns that such declarations are just changing the name of "SARS" to "SWAT". As of today, the protests continue within and outside the country. Very interesting to see whether the protests evolve to a more strategic wield of power by the youth against many of the issues plaguing Nigeria, or they fizzle out. Hoping for the former.

I truly believe that folks who think this is all "normal" election are not grasping at what's really going on.
