Alan Partridge got a reaction from Costa19 in The Next Manager?
I'd love Lampard to do well but he really needs a few years experience first.
I'd rather Jose who has won multiple league titles and a couple of champions league's than Lampard who has 0 experience at top level management.
There really arent many options that I can see.
If we were close to bringing in ex Derby manager Gary Rowett who still has more experience than Frank, everyone would be losing their shit.
It will be interesting to see how much patience Roman has especially if we get off to an awful start to the season.
It's just a shit time for us. It's hard to be positive.
Lost our best player, lost our manager and transfer banned.

Who ever comes in is walking into a pile of shit anyway.
Lost out best player
Striker options are awful.
Apart from Kante our midfield is very suspect.
Back 4 aint too bad but does need improving.
Theoretically it would be great to accept the state the club are in and use the ban as an opportunity to play a lot of the young players we have at the club and out on loan last season. We could build from there but I dont think Roman has the patience to wait 2,3,4 years until a new team is built and ready to challenge again.
Although I hate them but you have to admire Liverpool for putting faith in Klopp. Look at the team he has built now and they play his style of play. Fair enough liverpool haven't won a league since the dark ages but maybe Roman needs to accept we arent anywhere near what we were.
Miles away from catching City in the last few seasons. We haven't been competitive in the CL since our 2014 semi final exit.
Throwing money around to get a good player in and expecting the manager to fit them in the team does not work most of the time.
If you look at how good City are and the players they have, it really does show how far away we are from challenging.
City, Liverpool, Arsenal, United, Spurs all could potentially strengthen this season.
And I'm going to say it...
The only person I could see us getting who could grind us out a top 4 finish is Jose. It wouldn't be pretty though.

Alan Partridge got a reaction from RoyalBlues in The Next Manager?
Dont forget AVB just won a treble and everyone got excited because his background was a little similar to Jose's. I wouldn't say it was that risky.
I think Lampard didnt improve on Derbys league position or even points from the previous season. If this was anyone else but Lampard everyone would be in meltdown.
I'm not convinced players will automatically respect Lamoard because todays generation seem to lack respect in football.
I think United fans realise Jose wasnt joking when he said his best achievement was finishing 2nd with United. It doesnt look like Ole has the respect from all the players and they really struggle with player power and egos such as Pogba.
Would love Lampard to do well and have the club introduce roles for other ex players like Drogba, Terry and Ash.
I just think it's too early for Lampard. We have a transfer ban and ideally want to finish in the top 4 to attract signings with champions league football. Surely you look for someone with experience because if results go bad then the pressure will be huge.
If by Christmas, we are out of the top 4 and CL then I could easily see him being sacked.
Who else is there? We have gone through so many managers and thanks to some dodgy deals we are transfer banned again!
Why do they never learn?
Man City can thank us on being an example of how not to run a football club with a billionaire owner.

True and they still manage to attract some of the worlds best players which is annoying

Buying him was beyond stupid. He can work hard but he is very average .
Last seasons deals really reminded me of Jose’s meltdown season when we bought shit like Sidwell.
No more class 3 eggs!

This club is ran by too many people with no clue about football or how to run a successful club. City learnt from our and their own mistakes but we continue to piss about every season.
Its beyond boring now

League title in 1st season
FA Cup in 2nd
Doesn’t sound too bad but I personally don’t want to watch another season of this poor excuse for football. His subs are often too late and his tactics are ugly.
The board didn’t back him but I can’t see how this team would be playing any different. The squad needs huge changes and I don’t think his style of play should warrant huge investment. I personally would rather someone else come in who plays exciting football and not this dinosaur style of play.
Invest in a new philosophy
Even Hazard just had a dig at our boring play

At this rate next season will be his last with United. He’s started his 3rd season meltdown early.
Ugly football, grinding out results and no major silverware. Turning on his players and pissing off the fans won’t help him out.
Do United trust him to blow another few hundred million next season?
Lets not forget he has no excuses. When he joined United and signed Zlatan, Pogba etc all the media were on his side. Nothing but praise and saying how United were going to dominate the league..
How long would they give him to win a league title or CL? Regardless of all the shit he’s been talking and ugly football he’s got them playing.
He should think about managing Portugal next.

I’d rather lose 3-0 but have shots on goal and exciting attacks rather than anti football.
Roman needs to think hard about what the club wants to be seen as globally. Playing like that with no ambition or intent will not attract fans or players to this club.
I personally don’t like being a defensive/counter attacking team. I want to see attacking/direct football being played here.
The team needs revamping and now would be a good time to get in a manager who wants to play exciting football that pleases the fans.
Invest big and put faith in a manager or stay in this never ending cycle.
We are currently miles behind City in quality, results, excitement and depth.
That was an absolute embarrassment which made the United game look half decent compared to today.

He’s a quality keeper but I wouldn’t be desperate to keep him if he doesn’t want to be here. Not so loyal to A Madrid either it seems.
