  1. The problem I have is not so much that he's not scoring its the fact that he's just not doing anything now unlike last season were he did at least try and chase players down. He's not making the run to create space he's not chasing down like he did and it just feels like he know's for a fact that he's going to start games and he has no competition. The Shevchenko signing kicked Drogba up and he added an avalanche of goals to his game after being a battling ram for 2 years opening spaces with his hold up play for Lampard and Robben. When Drogba wasn't scoring in those 2 seasons he was causing absolute havoc with his back to goal and he was working like a dog and players around him benefited from it. Torres is not contributing in anyway shape or form, sometimes I forget he's on the pitch. Chelsea forwards have always been team players and we're not used to this as a club we've always had strikers that played for the team since I can remember and that is from the mid 90's. We don't sign players that can only play if they get service that's not a Chelsea player.
  2. You know it feels like he's a little negative sometimes when he's picking the side. Ramires and Bertrand is a very defensive mind set when you play them out wide. You're basically telling the opposition that ''We're going to stop your wingers from affecting the game'' this is the wrong thing to do especially against a side like QPR. A bold line up would be with Sturridge and Moses out wide, we'd score a lot more goals and we would be a much bigger threat going forward with those 2. Moses is a good crosser and he's strong/quick and Sturridge is a finisher and he can also beat a man.
  3. Why did he have to apologize ? No need for it what's so ever, the guy deserves our support and that is what he will get from me.
  4. Last time we played Juve what happened ?
  5. That was a brilliant read, this game will obviously be a tough tough encounter.
  6. He gives us stability in the midfield and I feel a lot more assured when he's anchoring the midfield.
  7. Here we go again this time we are going to defend our crown ! I remember in 1999-2000 when they said ''Manchester United are back to defend their crown'' and I was like damn I wish we can win this glorious competition one day and we did it 12 years later. Now we are back to defend what is rightfully ours !
  8. I would like him to have a run as a striker like Tottenham are doing with Defoe. I think Hazard and Mata will love playing behind him because of his sheer PACE. Danny won't hide he'll carry on going and he'll carry on making the run and he's actually really creative too if anyone else has noticed... he's got great vision lol.
  9. I see your point with Drogba but the guy was 34 years of age and it's not easy to consistently play well at that age in his position. I think with the Lampard point I made I was a bit too over emotional, Lampard is clearly not as good as what he was but I struggle to find someone to replace him in that position. Oscar could do it but I would rather have him in the 3 ahead of the double pivot.
  10. Laugh out loud only you could argue and berate a Chelsea legend like that. You did it with Drogba last season and now you're doing it with Frank, I just hope Frank smacks your theories into a black hole like Drogba did last season when he produced probably the greatest last final swan song in football history and Sam81292 went all quiet.
  11. Ballack was a player I really didn't like when he played for us. He was stagnant in midfield and we constantly got overrun when he was in the midfield, he'd be a disaster if we resigned him.
  12. Stop standing up for him Beirut it's really annoying because what he did was so clear. We have basically signed a squad full of playmakers to help this guy score and to play well but he seems to think it will come to him on a plate without him working hard. He keeps running into 3 defenders and loses the ball constantly, he then walks around the pitch not even bothering to close the space. The guy doesn't get involved in the game and that is hard to take for a club that has had Drogba for the last 8 years (probably only Tevez compares with Drogba when it comes to getting involved in the game as a striker) you must understand. No Chelsea striker has ever had as much support as Torres has when it comes to the bleeding management not signing a striker because they know he'll pooh his pants at any sign of competition. The supporters have given him support constantly since he arrived and the players around him are working like dogs to put it on a plate for him but what can you do when you have a striker that isn't moving off the ball and breaking his neck to get on the end of things ?
  13. Yeah I liked what i seen of him today and he's got a bit of muscle on him which is a great help because we have too many slight players in our team.
  14. Right, lets get a stream up that we all can use instead of asking 1 min before kick off.
  15. Yeah and they actually never realize that it causes a shit load of problems.
  16. World cup winner 2002 when nobody expected Brazil to do anything. Maybe he's more suited to International football !
  17. That wasn't even me can someone delete that post ! My friend posted that while I was off my desktop.
  18. Breaking news; Real Madrid have confirmed that former world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the club.
  19. Do we really contain him ? Just because he doesn't score does not mean we have ''contained him''. There have been numerous times were he has drifted past Chelsea players and caused havoc.
  20. Laugh out loud I have just made the exact same point on the Mata-Hazard thread hahahaha. Yeah i totally agree we have a shit load of technical players now who can provide for Torres !
  21. I would rest him against QPR we can beat them without him actually I wouldn't even include him in the match day squad. We can afford to rest him for a while and then ease him in with sub appearances then have him fresh again.
  22. I would really like us to thump QPR 5-0 or more ! I would play a 4-4-2 with Danny just behind Torres with Mikel and Oscar in the midfield. I would then have Moses on the right with Hazard on the left ! Mata can sit on the bench for a while give the lad a rest he's fucked and we will only hurt his career by constantly playing him........ we all need a break regardless how much we're paid !
  23. Messi is the greatest football ever to have played the game in my opinion. Iv'e never come across a player who is as difficult to contain in a tactical point of view as Messi.
