Ramires is the only player we have that offers us pace in the middle of the park and that is vital. If we play Lampard and Mikel then all it takes is for someone like Yaya Toure to drive through those 2 with pace and we are fucked. We can't have a team full of pure blooded footballers who just want to move the ball, we need players who work off the ball too and nobody does that better then Ramires is our team. I don't care how many goals Lampard gets us, the fact is up until the end of the season the guy was a liability. Ramires and Mikel should start in the CM roles so we have that blend of pace and drive (Ramires) with ball control and calmness (Obi Mikel) then the Hazards, Mata and Marin's of this world can do the things that they are good for. I don't want us to end up at the city of Manchester stadium with 2 slow coaches in midfield because a player like Toure will constantly run past them and that will leave us exposed.

@Silkycuts do you actually watch Chelsea ? Ramires has improved greatly on his passing since arriving at the club and that is a testament to his hard work.

I agree with Ollie ! We will have a squad next season and Juan Mata will not have to play 250 games for us because he will be able to have a rest to keep him fresh. We can chop and change, KDB can be used in certain situations when we need someone who plays in a direct way. We can play Gael Kakuta in certain situations and Ramires can play in a number of area's. We'll have Marko Marin as our pure touchline winger with Eden Hazard on the other flank. We'll have real options on the bench when we are away from home. There are a lot of games in a season for such a big club like us and everyone will get there piece of the pie, I can even see Bertrand getting a number of games when Ashley needs to sit games out. I think people need to have a look at city and see how many of there players played 20 plus games !

I like what I have seen up to now. I think his hold up play is brilliant and his pace is good too, he has the raw materials in my opinion and I want him to compete with Fernando next season. I think he'll get goals if we supply him and I think he would give us a better all round game then Sturridge and Torres as a team player. Henrique no goals in 10 games means nothing because the vast majority of those games are like 3 mins off the bench at the end of the game.

He's only 19 years of age and he's a central midfield player. Midfielders usually hit consistent form when they are around 24 years old !

Zolayes the problem is that RDM clearly deserves a full season as our manager and it looks like he might not get it. Managers never seem to get what they deserve at this club, we just keep changing and it's really annoying.

I just hope we never have to play against him in the CL !

I don't think we need another attacking player in that area now we have Marin and Hazard. I would rather us sign someone who will play next to Mikel, Lampard is coming to the end and I would sign some who can thread a ball through to Hazard and Marin. We have lacked brains in the middle for a long time and its hampered us even with Mata in the team. I would bid for Javi Martinez ! Javi would play in the middle with Mikel and both players are 6ft plus, that would give the little players a good base in our team. We have to think about the balance in our team and Javi would thrive next to Mikel he really would be a brilliant partner for Mikel. We can sign all these samba players but we have to remember our base !!!

Hazard is a very similar type of payer to Ribery. Hazard has a it more pace but in terms of style he's identical to Ribery.

My cousin has gone from calling Hazard a brilliant player to an overrated player in a 48 hour time span because we have signed him.

I have never come across a player who has made this much fuss over his transfer. This is sadly the route football is taking and its sad, these young footballers are milking it for all its worth.

So we're going to have him. To be honest i didn't like the way he treated us because we were the obvious choice according to what he said he wanted. I fully acknowledge that he's a supreme footballer and I'm glad that we've got him because he's much better then what we have.

I'm losing all hope that he'll get the job now. I think this has dragged on too long and I think Roman must of made up his mind a while ago.

That was a fantastic read ! I always feared that this Chelsea team (Our golden generation) was going to end up being JUST a great domestic side. I think it would of been horrible to have said in future to children asking about the Drogba-Lampard-Cech-Terry years that they won everything but the European cup. They've done it now and we can now say this Chelsea golden era won everything domestically and European wise !!!!!

We need to sign better players then him to compete. He would be a good goalscorer for a club like Lyon or Roma.
