Don't let the hype get to you - he's doing the same thing Bob Bradley did before him except JK has more talent available to him than Bradley did.

He is genuinely the American John Stones. Strong, tall, sort of thin frame who is proactive, likes to be on the ball and has the potential to be captain for their NT. He had a fantastic season in a team that was thought to be rebuilding after the departures of Henry and Tim Cahill and the new coach going with a youth movement. He's only had 1 great season though, and part of the praise is certainly him exceeding expectations. People who are comparing him to Hector and Papy are just bitter about the board's recent decisions with no logic being applied. His potential to make the first team? What youngster has been bled into the team in the last 10-15 years? Mikel? Zouma if he stays on track? That's about it. As much as I'd love to see an American in the Chelsea XI, I'll still side with the Vitesse/Championship loans before he gets sold to Reading.

Frank's sucked really hard so far, should've been subbed off at HT vs the Red Bulls.

I'll never forget the fucking breath of fresh air we got when he replaced Mikel (for whatever reason, don't remember) under AVB. Unfortunate injury, wish him all the best. Wouldn't shock me at all if he becomes Bertrand part 2.

There was a 120 minute game played the day before. I also don't remember them watering the grass during HT but I could be wrong. Is this your first time watching Oscar? Mourinho starts him to play defense, not create.

What did you guys think was gonna happen when we played a 3-5-2 with Azpilicueta and Zouma playing as wide as they were against a fit, hungry team eager to impress their coach when our new keeper looked like he was a backup for a MLS club? Costa visually looked a little bit bigger and should've had at least 2, Oscar didn't look good. RLC as a 10 was interesting. Loved that Moses looked like he had something to prove. On a brighter note, I got RLC to smile and give me a thumbs up and JT to smile and wave so I felt like a 10 year old girl for about 5 seconds last night

Consensus this time last year was, this league is ours and we have to win either the PL or CL, especially with this squad. I personally believed if we didn't win the league with our squad last season, it would've been a failure. Having seen our squad for a full season, we've seen the weaknesses in our squad including but not limited to: Oscar not living up to his potential, Willian, while still not being a threat defenses have to worry about, embodies Mourinho's system to a tee... in Oscar's position, lack of rotation for Matic, Fab not being an effective 10, Ivanovic leaving the right side exposed, Cahill only looking Chelsea quality in a defensive system. How many of these things have been improved upon? Just because we have young talent does not mean they're going to develop into world class players. This isn't FIFA, young talent isn't guaranteed to grow. We haven't brought in competition for these guys who are experiencing their first major trophy with the club, possibly their careers. Complacency is real. That's why the pessimism is alive and kicking. The city of Manchester has improved and could still improve. We haven't.

I'd love to get a picture of it because the replay clearly showed he was at least a yard behind the last defender. It was evident by the shade of the pitch that Costa was on. He did do well in that moment, considering he was the last man. But that's exactly what I'm talking about. You can bring up that one moment, I can show you several times where he's jogging back on defense. You're acknowledging how safe he's playing. How can you say it was a good game? It was meh, average. That's not being too harsh.
-
Sorry but you can't say that was a 'good' game. All he did was pass side to side. Rarely had any pressure on him yet still decided to play the safe pass. Also didn't show any urgency to help Matic out when Matic was caught out of position. Costa WAS offside, RLC took too long.
-
I think for the first time in a long time, every single player had a bad game.
-
Isco is a CM. Isn't that what you want from your #10? To create chances for others? Thank you for completely ignoring the defensive stats too.
-
That's the dumbest argument. Iniesta has 8 assists the last 2 seasons and he plays with Messi! How bad is Iniesta?! Also if you want to use stats, Isco averages (per 90 mins) more key passes, created chances, higher pass %, only .25 less tackles, less tackles lost, more interceptions, more blocks, and a way higher take on %.

Uhhhhh... fucking duh? Azpi has shown he's a WC defender for us time and time again. He gets the benefit of the doubt. Luis on the other hand.....
