  1. People keep saying Mikel etc will be sold come the summer, my opinion is this lad may well be sold too.
  2. Omeruo not even in the squad tonight. Bamford and Kalas both start.
  3. Tibo Ivanovic Zouma Terry Luis Cesc Ramires Cuadrado Willian Hazard Costa
  4. I think he's a brilliant player, problem being, like I said is, he isn't getting a solid run because Karanka keeps switching it around. I was having a debate with some Boro fans on Sunday and I said that Karanka must stop all this mass changes, he did it against Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday and they lost both games. Tomlin has been one of Boro's best performers this season, he was benched against the two teams I mentioned....that's not good when they are in a push for the PL. He made 7 changes for the Sheff Wed game and changed formation.
  5. We have three lads out on at Middlesbrough, here Mark Sadler takes a quick look at their progress. Kenneth Omeruo - Ken was loaned back to Boro for a second loan last year and it's been a bit of an up and down time for the Nigerian defender. Aitor Karanka has rotated a lot this year, especially with his back line, and with that it's been in and out for Ken, who has spent much of the season trying to force his way in. Standing in his way is not only our own Tomas Kalas but also Daniel Ayala; all vying for that one spot alongside Ben Gibson, who is somewhat of a main stay in the Middlesbrough back line. I have watched him closely this season and he has been very solid. He's looked composed and confident every time and just needs a run of games to edge his way back to being a regular starter. I'm not sure what the future holds for Ken in all honesty, I don't think he's been given enough time this season to show his quality due to rotation, and if I was to answer honestly I would say he will be on loan elsewhere come next season. 7/10 Patrick Bamford- I think this lad has been great so far this season. One thing with Bamford is you get 100% all of the time, every game and any given situation. What has pleased me the most about his loan is how Karanka has deployed him out wide and also centrally, and he hasn't looked out of place in either. Like I said regarding Omeruo, Karanka likes to rotate and Patrick has had both Kike and Jelle Vossen to compete with. He's led the line a few times and also played out wide, normally supporting Kike setting up in a 4-3-3 line-up. I watched him against Bolton where he started the game centrally - he found it tough; he was well marshalled by David Wheater, but at the same time really put it about, and that is what I like - he never gives up. Patrick has spoken out about how he would like more chances to play centrally and I think he will get it, but make no mistake about it, he has been a massive factor why Boro are where they are right now. 31 appearances and 12 goals for Patrick so far, keep it up! 9/10 Tomas Kalas - I was fortunate enough to meet him the day he signed on loan for Boro; this lad is a top player, make no mistake about it! He's just started to find his way into the team now. He started both games against Bolton and Sheffield Wednesday alongside Ben Gibson and looked as solid as a rock in both games. I was at the Bolton game and what stood out for me was his aerial ability - he really is solid in the air, he brilliantly commanded the back line in that game and never gave Emile Heskey a moment's rest. He's started a few games at right-back, too, and never looked out of place, but again he's got the competition of Omeruo, Ayala and not only those, but if needed at right-back he has Fredricks to compete with too. Competition is healthy at Boro and I think Kalas is proving a really good loan in the north east, the Boro fans like him a lot and right now he seems to have cemented a starting spot in the team. 8/10 Competition is healthy at Boro right now and I personally think our loan boys are doing just fine. It's difficult when such a rotation policy is in place, but that's football now, squads are big and the one at Boro is both big and healthy. I'd love to see these three push Boro onto promotion because I think they have been a big part of their current league position, and I think none of these players would look out of place in a regular Premier League side. More to follow on our loans boys as they push for promotion with Middlesbrough!
  6. Not worried about him in the slightest, he played his part on Sunday and will continue to do so in the run up to us lifting the title.
  7. Kurt Zouma was named as a starter by Jose Mourinho to make his cup final debut at Wembley yesterday in the Capital One Cup Final. The 20 year old Frenchman, from Lyon in France, was asked to a fill a void left by Nemanja Matic, who was ruled out due to his red card against Burnley. This was to be his first appearance on the big stage, and what an appearance it was, and what a performance it was! Along with other players, Zouma had the job of keeping quiet players that are very much in form, players such as Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen, two players who have been very good so far this season for Tottenham. He did so with class and intelligence all game. Jose Mourinho spoke about Zouma after the game saying: "He's our new Marcel Desailly. He did a fantastic job". High praise indeed. In truly typical modest style, Zouma responded to Mourinho's comments saying: "I'm very proud to hear the comparison, but Marcel is a Chelsea legend and I have only played 10 or so games". A calm response from a player that also shows that sort of composure on the field too. The thing for me with this kid is that he doesn't ever look out place, it's as if he's played in this team for years. He looks assured and very comfortable. This wasn't a risk from Jose but with the manager basically saying: "Go and do your stuff son", he responded with a terrific performance from start to finish and more than justified his selection. Yesterday will of given him an even bigger confidence boost - not that he needed it. The lad performed on one of the biggest stages in world football, in front of 89,294 fans, and it will happen again soon because the big stage is where both Chelsea and Zouma belong. Zouma will hope to start again on Wednesday when Chelsea travel to West Ham United, and his chances of selection will not have been done any harm performing like he did yesterday. Whether it's midfield or defence, he has now proven he can play both roles and it gives Mourinho a very good selection headache. Well done Kurt Zouma! Click here to view the article
  8. His attitude, smile and desire are infectious to be honest. Absolute quality player.
  9. A victory that has got right to the guts of the FA, opposition fans and our rivals. Fucking love it.
  10. It's a great headache for Mourinho to have, we have the two best in the world for me. I help run a football team myself, the kids are under 9's and I coach two keepers who play for us, it's unreal knowing you have the best keepers around at that age level because you have no issues picking one over the other. Yesterday we played away and all week I worked with my keepers on commanding their area, punching, catching and organizing. Yesterday the opposition had a corner and the wind was howling across making their player whip it in towards our keeper- The lad who started came out and punched clear...massively satisfying to see what you have worked on all week put into real time. The opposition manager came to me at the end and said "You have the best two keepers around at this age level" That for me is a bit special.
  11. I love KFC and I also love BK. But I have to choose Chinese food over everything.
  12. Might watch the game back tonight whilst supping more booze and farting, just to annoy the wife.
  13. Egg Foo Yung, Beef in Black Bean sauce and any Chinese Curry all for me.
  14. Not even funny the amount lager I consumed yesterday......Pub for 12 had 5 pints, came home drank before, during after the game, one bottle of champagne and whilst most of it went all over me and my lad I had at least half a bottle. And before bed a JD and coke Anyway, the game. Delighted we shut out Harry Kane because the wank fest well and truly under way before the game kicked off yesterday. Thought it was a proper solid job done yesterday and couldn't more happy as I skipped into work this morning. :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  15. Delighted for him scoring yesterday, opposition fans hate him and it makes it even sweeter when he scores. Love it when he ran over towards their fans Another one in the face of the FA.
