Absolutely nail on head there. Not quite so sure about this bit anymore. Ok, they still battle but is it as convincing? Do they still look as solid as a unit? I think its slowly slipping away tbh. When Jose was around we played from the back, not sexy but bloody effective and the players knew what his expectations of them were. As long as we were sorted defensively we could play the game from there as a unit - and it worked. Now though, theyre being asked to play in a totally different way by a manager who clearly has no idea how to implement that change so the result is a defense thats losing its solidity, an attack thats nowhere near potent enough and a confused midfield. In short, our play reflects our manager - "dont know what you're doing" - ring any bells?

When Jose went I thought it was vital Clarke stayed but now I dont think it makes a difference either way. At the start Clarke was only kept on to keep us sweet and he's probably being inched out Jose style. Jose was constantly undermined and made to feel uncomfortable as Roman's men were wheeled in and history seems to be repeating itself. Was Ten Cate brought in to work WITH Clarke or simply to make sure there was less room on the bench for him? Besides, the mess Grant's making, it'd take more than Clarke staying to clear it up imo. Maybe he's better off out of it?

As far as Im concerned his appointment did nothing but bring ridicule to the club and its time to put a stop to this farce. He can buy whoever he likes in January but the fact remains he always was and always will be a cone man.

I dont think he's saying Jose's a wanker, I think its his whining, pleading way of saying "Im not that bad really, please like me", but in order to do it, he has to have a dig at Mourinho who was clearly so bad he had to go out and win almost everything.
