Being signed by clubs like Chelsea should be regarded as a privilege, if a player can't respect that fact and stick to the terms of a contract worth a substantial amount of money then he deserves everything he gets. As for anyone who suggests we should be offering these players rehab, firstly, rehab isnt that successful as a rule and secondly, Mutu's behaviour after he'd been caught didn't exactly inspire the sort of confidence the club would need to take that option. In short, he's a wanker.

TBH, when I read that, the first thought that came into my head was that he'd been a lucky fucker all last season and apparently nothing's changed.

Frank Lampard Signs New Five Year Deal
misschief replied to EskWeston's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I say now that he's on a five year deal, we cash in and sell him to Inter next year. -
I agree with the point about Berbatov. I was feeling quietly confident about next season without them signing him but now its looking more likely, I have to say that unnerves me.
-
The club are intent on embarrassing themselves as much as possible it would seem. All that pantomime for a bloke who's dragged out a contract for two years? Utter piss take out of supporters imo.
-
Lol, ok you're back to making me laugh. I never really saw Wisey like that, after spending years idolising him you've shattered all my illusions - he really was just like the rest. Hmmm, sounds a bit ominous with all the stories about him leaving?
-
And that's fine but if that's how it is, then he's got absolutely no right to moan like a bitch about supporters not showing him love. I know it's a first but I'm gonna have to disagree with you FB. Whilst Wise could make all of us cringe a bit at times, the reason we loved him was because his committment to Chelsea went without saying - thats got nothing to do with the colour of his skin.
-
I couldn't win an argument.
-
We could always send him out on loan. This one definitely aint happening though.
-
Agree to disagree then. At least we can do that without bitching like the lads on here.
-
Did his amateur dramatics and attitude not give it away last season? Im not just talking about the CL either, what about squaring up to Ballack? and as if doing it to a team mate wasn't embarrassing enough, he was publicly mouthing off at Clarke and all. He showed very little respect to Chelsea last season and if he expects any from the supporters this season, he needs to get his act together and earn it.
-
So what happened when he didnt play? I take it we lost all them games? Maybe we should play him on his own this season? So it was the price on his head that kept him at Chelsea then?
-
They might have wanted him but no-one put in any offers did they? Who do we support then exactly? We go to Chelsea, we talk about Chelsea - on forum's, because they're for opinions apparently. If he wants respect it has to be earned, pulling on the shirt for way too much money doesn't work for me - he needs to start earning it again. Get over yourself.
-
Nail on the head there. If either Milan or Inter (he wouldnt have cared which) had stumped up the money, his arse wouldve been out of Stamford Bridge so fast his feet wouldnt have hit the floor. So whilst I acknowledge he's a Chelsea player, I also accept he's a complete tosser - that's life.
-
I'd take any 'pledge' from Drogba with a pinch of salt after the past year tbh.
-
Bloody ridiculous. We're paying this bloke around the same amount a week we're offering Robinho?

£19.7million bid confirmed on the official site today.

Read the whole interview and I'm starting to like Scolari a whole lot more. No promises of how 'special' he is and what he's going to win, just a dead honest bloke who's gonna give it his best shot. Kenyon's made muppets out of the club and if Scolari can cool at least some of that down its a step in the right direction. Personally, its never been the fact we're hated that bothers me - more the fact that a lot of the criticism is valid.

More Sunday League than sexy then?

Terry: United have hit their peak
misschief replied to Aesthetic Relic's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I wish JT just hadn't made these comments - after all, wasnt this the same man who said during the early part of last season, when United were 5 points behind, that it was too big a gap for them to close down and we'd win the league? He's already wide open for a barracking this season as it is - might be safer to let our football do our talking. -
Y'know what? You totally do, lol. I'm flogging a dead horse here eh? I just won't hold my breath on seeing us become self sufficient in my lifetime - and before you insult me, Im really not THAT old.
-
Are you kidding me? One man, who has been around for a mere five years could potentially decide to walk away at any time, and you can't see why some supporters would fine that unnerving? And if you honestly believe we can become self sufficient, you are seriously kidding yourself.

When did we play sexy football last season?

Truth hurts. It still amazes me that the vast majority can't open their eyes to the fact that Roman and Kenyon arent god's gift to the footballing world tbh. We are in debt to the tune of over £500million, to one man - and that really isnt the safest position for any football club to be in. We were going out of business before Roman turned up and yet we didnt have anywhere near the size of debt we have now. United might well spend but they were a big enough club in their own right, having earned their money through football way before the Glazers turned up. Arsenal have certainly spent on a shiny new stadium but they'll make their money back eventually and they don't persist in throwing money around they dont actually have in the meantime. As for Liverpool, if their spending really rivalled ours, wouldn't the Barry deal have been done and dusted already? We might not be splashing as much cash in the transfer market the past couple of seasons, but we're still maintaining the same players - on ever increasing salaries, as all the 'new deals' are signed to keep the players at the club. Add to that the fact that whether we like it or not, these players are heading towards a less than desirable age group whilst we're paying £75,000 a week for younger players to play elsewhere, and you've got to start thinking there's better ways of doing business. As for Kenyon, he's got to be the slimiest, most arrogant, two-faced prick ever to get involved in the football world. From the minute he walked into Chelsea, our reputation hasnt stood a chance. I read an interview with Ranieri - Kenyon's first victim - apparently where Roman was concerned, Ranieri didnt have a problem yet the moment Kenyon's name was mentioned, the reporter reckoned Ranieri actually flinched at the mere mention of his name - and little wonder. Didn't he then break his arse to bring in Mourinho, only to stab him in the back as well? Hardly a surprise given he came to us off the back of stabbing United in the back anyway really. He'll think nothing of doing exactly the same thing to us. Oh, and someone shouldve pushed the fucker down them steps in Moscow imo.

Grant Has Sly Swipe at the Players

Yeh, that's what all the lads say about you. You bitch.
