  1. Read this earlier, of course he's on a wind-up and as usual there'll be loads that fall for it, just made me laugh though. Scolari won't rise to it so its not a big deal.
  2. Off the back of 2 poor United results, Fergie raging and Ronaldo back? I don't even wanna think about the outcome of this one.
  3. And now we'll get criticised for handing out free scarves.
  4. Yeh, he was hoping Chelsea would extend it by a year, after which he planned to retire.
  5. He's got a point about the squad - Scolari getting rid of so many without bringing in quite enough as cover was naive and highlights his inexperience as far as a long, hard season in the PL is concerned. I'm sure he'll address this in January but until then hopefully we'll manage with what we've got. Besides, I'd rather play a consistent first eleven than change it on a weekly basis like Rafa. As for resting players now, ffs some of them have missed games already, give them a chance to warm up at least. On Deco's game, I agree with what he said and probably Cole to an extent, but Mikel? Don't agree with him there, I think Mikel's doing a great job considering the boots he's been asked to fill - and again he's only had a couple of games himself this season. Personally thought he did a solid job last night.
  6. Nice work Chelsea, a bit of common sense at last. Scolari blew it by not involving Clarke enough from the start - his loss (and Chelsea's obviously).
  7. Stupid decision in the first place. Pretty shocked it was rescinded though.
  8. Hingis, every now and then you pop up with this subject. Its a little paranoid. Why not just support Chelsea without the constant need to justify it?
  9. I think Berbatov could be lethal for United and I think he'll have more than earned his transfer fee by May.
  10. http://soccerlens.com/robinho-shows-the-pr...ity-move/12051/
  11. Steve Clarke, disloyal? Behave ffs. The trouble with Chelsea is they have to turn everything into a bloody pantomime. He's done more than enough for us, as did Zola during his time. The Chelsea board need to stop being so up their own arses - some of us remember where we came from.
  12. JT was bloody mad to risk that yesterday, wasn't a red card obviously but he had enough cover not to be grabbing players round the waist anyway. 3-1 up and he gave Halsey the excuse. I've already seen press articles questioning the way Terry was having a go at the ref after the card - the FA will love that! There's no way that card will be rescinded.
  13. Have to admit I didnt realise it'd clipped Mikel on the way in - just read that somewhere. I wondered what JT and Cech were ranting at, lol. Still a decent free-kick, if it wasnt on target to start with it wouldnt have ended up in the back of the net.
  14. I'd rather we'd signed him, he'd definitely have added something for Chelsea. He might not have looked that special today but neither did Berbatov for United - debut games, especially for big money players with all the pressure on - mean nothing. Wait til the end of the season and see whether theyve earned that price tag. Decent free-kick from him - although I admit even I was slating him the minute it went in, lol.
  15. I thought he'd played 90 for the reserves. My nan on the other hand aint run for years.
  16. Great performance from Chelsea, pathetic performance from Halsey. Really impressed with the way Chelsea responded to some serious pressure on them for this one. City can do one. Anelka should've had a pen for sure. Blatant foul by JT, definite yellow but a red???? Halsey's a comedian. Funny how Dunne didnt get as much as a yellow for his foul on Drogba - talking of Drogba, he looked slower than my nan today.
  17. http://www.mogulus.com/BestSports2008 good link ha ha, except theyre not showing our game. http://www.justin.tv/nelson7
  18. Whenever we're in a position to capitalise, we fuck up. Probably even more pessimistic after that result than I was before, lol.
  19. Ha ha, read it wrong. Fair play.
  20. If youre trying to use players staying at Chelsea as an example of the club being settled, I dont think Drogba was the most convincing one to go for.
  21. Think Drogba is more likely to get on in the second half. Up til last night I really thought we'd be going out there to prove a point to City but now, with the usual shambles going on behind the scenes, this time over Clarke, I just think the lads won't be quite as motivated and focused as they would've been. I don't think we'll come away from Middle Eastlands with anything but the right bloody hump tomorrow.
  22. The FA would have dealt with Bethell directly, the same as they will Evra, but because Chelsea cocked up his contract - missing out the bit where it should say the FA have disciplinary jurisdiction over him - the FA can't touch him, therefore their only option is to hold Chelsea responsible for his conduct. They couldn't exactly charge Evra and let Bethell walk away scot free when they were both clearly seen attacking each other.
