  1. No I don't. It's actually quite impressive how little you actually understand football. Guardiola's sides aren't just good at passing. That's such a ridiculously naive view that suggests you've never actually played (maybe even watched) football. A pass is when the ball is kicked from one player to another. Now for the ball to reach that player it has to be accurate, but the player also has to be in space and working for 90 minutes to continually find space and be available for the pass is incredibly hard. It takes determination (guts/balls) to push yourself like that which is part of the reason Guardiola's sides had questions about burnout raised about them. Allied to that his sides press insanely hard when they lose possession (that first 7 seconds after losing the ball) which only adds to their workload, so to say that he favours technique is ridiculous. His sides are some of the hardest working sides you'll find in world football which is why he places such an emphasis on training and training camps in particular. Equally to suggest Mourinho goes simply for the mental is overly-simplistic. His tactics require a huge level of concentration and anticipation but also an incredibly high level of precision when making breaks (look at Madrid's breaks that frequently involved Ronaldo or our own breaks against Galatasaray or Arsenal - precision, pace and concentration combined). But yes....Guardiola does like passing.
  2. Makelele was actually let go by Perez which was nice of him, but he got to join a big league and win the Premier League trophy twice. As the guy in charge at Canal+ says... Rodolphe Belmer, director general of Canal Plus Group, added: “We are extremely proud and satisfied, in a very competitive environment, to have renewed our long-term partnership with the Premier League. It is the world's most admired football competition and much appreciated by our subscribers." As for our financial situation....you're just wrong. And yes you'll probably just get a slap on the wrist for breaching FFP rules this time, but what about next time? How does PSG continue to spend the money they do when they will NEVER have the same revenue streams as the big clubs in England, Spain or Germany (you'll never have the tv deals and subsequent monies associated with a larger audience)?
  3. It's almost like you want him to fail. What the fuck is wrong with you? He's scored some important goals for us when certain other players haven't, he's adapted well to the league in roughly the time you'd expect him to and he always puts in a shift. Why can't you just support players when they're working hard to adapt rather than calling them mediocre?
  4. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you everything wrong about entitled, spoilt, gloryhunting scrotes summed up in one succinct sentence. Your's faithfully, The 9 year old.
  5. No he doesn't. He's a little scrote, a lot like Joey Barton. Don't confuse rank stupidity and recklessness for 'balls'. If you want balls then how about someone like Daniele De Rossi? A player who doesn't ever duck a fight, never gives less than his all and is a real leader of men. Not someone who 'is saving himself for the World Cup' (as you put it) at the expense of his teammates, the supporters and his employer.
  6. Yeah, they only had two of the Champions League finalists last year. Yet I could swear that in 2012 another team from the Premier League did rather well in the Champions League.
  7. And Lukaku would be your first attempt at producing your own eggs at home. Sure it isn't quite as pretty as the store bought ones but it's the right shape and a good size. Chuck it in the omelette with the Class A egg and you won't even notice?
  8. So he's been unhappy at PSG for a while?
  9. Hey, no need to get salty. I know that money is important, but as you grow up and reach a certain point you realise it isn't the be all and end all. Maybe that's what Cavani is expressing. I just think it's sad that he's made these comments now, when all the PSG fans are getting excited about such a big match. Honestly I feel kinda bad for you guys, to see one of your big stars talking about his 'options' at the end of the season. Maybe you should look at increasing his wages sooner rather than later? Demba Ba is leaving in the summer and shouldn't have any qualms about wanting to play up front. Plus he supports PSG. If you're looking for a right-back then we have a youngster called Wallace who is looking to gain experience. We have Vitesse Arnhem in Holland as a feeder club so maybe PSG and Chelsea could do something similar?
  10. By they way, I love the insecurities. Of course you're not dear.
  11. I understand all that. It just seems a little disrespectful for him to make these comments on the eve of such a big game for PSG. Surely the success he's already had in the French League should make him look past his own issues rather than broadcasting them so publicly. Maybe he's not being paid enough? See, this guy has got the right idea.... You've bought a player with two great feet, but clearly you didn't pay for the loyalty as well.
  12. I disagree completely with that. Money is important, but sportsmen in general (that I've encountered) have a fantastic drive to test themselves at the higher level. They want to be the best and that means playing the best week-in and week-out. Of course there are some like Falcao who are happy to play in front of one man and his dog for astronimical tax free-earnings but then you get players like Eden Hazard who clearly want to play in a league that offers prestige as well as money. Maybe Cavani is regretting his decision to go to PSG to play second-fiddle to Zlatan in a second-tier league. Good for him and I'm sure if he wants to leave we'd be happy to put in a fair bid for him. As for the stronger league bs, don't get salty.
  13. Aw diddums....did you get hurt before and now you find it hard to love again?? What we have for the first time in years (yes, those other 'transitions' didn't work and we ended up with a squad composed of players bought for different tactics) is a solid foundation based on a clear idea of how we want to play football, not just in the first team but at age-group level as well. We have something approaching a spine in the team, something we haven't had for about 4 years. We have clear areas we need to improve on but that wasn't going to happen overnight. You seem to want instant success when that simply wasn't going to be a given. You talk about Jose's past success yet seem completely ignorant of it. When he arrived here we were already a very good team and he took us to that next level - we weren't a very good team when he arrived this time. He's had to build a team who can defend better and he's improved the young talent we have here and yet people like you (and there are but a handful of you, although the sanctimonious prickishness makes you seem greater in number) still have the temerity to bellyache because he didn't win immediately. You castigate him for being short-termist yet you seem to care only about the short-term. You're hypocrites and you're representative of everything that was going wrong at this club just a few years ago. EVERYTHING about this club is focused on the long-term now from the way we handle our finances to the acquisition and development of young talent. If you can't trust the club to have hired a coach who actually believes what he says about wanting to be here for the long-term then fine. Enjoy.
  14. Interesting to see Cavani making a few comments about reviewing his position at the end of the season and being unhappy with what's he's asked to do. Wiggling his arse in the direction of the team he's supposed to be playing seems a little odd. Maybe he just wants to play up-front, or maybe he's just got that hunger to test himself in a stronger league.
  15. I don't put one man above the club, but I recognise that for this club to have stability that we need to ignore the cunts and support the guy who most of us like and believe is doing a good job. We have one of the best managers in world football, a guy who has re-instilled a sense of fear in the Bridge and pride in the team after the shit we went through last year. The atmosphere is completely different at the Bridge and that for me is a massive success. If you don't understand that then you might as well throw on a City shirt in all honesty because you're ignorant of the joy of supporting a football club. People like you and Henrique just like to bitch and moan. Enjoy your pint.
  16. Players in our squad lacking balls? Well it's your boy David Luiz for one. That's why we have to overplay the back four, because Luiz can't be trusted (something that everyone except his fan club now realises). He doesn't show up against the smaller teams (a term his fan club love to use). Fortunately we're actually developing players into men who will step up for our club. As for the big players at other clubs, look no further than Toure and Suarez. As Muzchap alluded to the lack of a proper striker kills so much of what we try to do.
  17. Unrealistic advert. Trust me, David Luiz wouldn't be short of a lift to the airport.
  18. It also shows how desperately out of touch you are with the vast majority of Chelsea supporters. The fact that you can't take the same type of joy in supporting Chelsea as everyone else seems to be able to makes me pity you. And Henrique.
  19. Staying at Bayern according to Rummenigge. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/31/toni-kroos-not-joining-manchester-united Trolling United is like kicking a fat kid now.
  20. I think we've missed a striker all season who can score goals in games like this. Until we solve that we're always going to be lacking. Or you win 4-0 like we did against Spurs. Are you expecting us to beat small teams with ease now? There are no small teams, there are no easy games - again the David Luiz mentality rears it's head.
  21. How many did West Brom? ONE in the 87th minute until your boy went missing as usual. I'm saying we've done enough to get good results despite us lacking a quality striker. The approaches have been cautious but sensible when you actually look at what this team actually has. The overreaction after the Palace game has been a fucking joke though with a few of the usual suspects (Henrique, Rubber Bullets) using it to have a pop at the manager and others desperately looking for deeper issues like our attacking patterns not being good enough. And now we have threads asking if this season has been a success or a failure. It's a joke.
  22. Is that what's on the grapevine in Brazil? Everything he's said is focussed on the long-term. But 'fans' like you simply like to moan. I hope you view this season as a failure because maybe you'll latch on to some other club instead.
  23. But it's been a consistent problem throughout the season against smaller clubs apparently. Sounds like a kneejerk reaction. So Jose wasn't attacking enough.....until he was in the second-half. And then we conceded - kneejerk reaction is that playing 4231 made us concede. So a team sets up with 10 men behind the ball and we're not going to look to draw them out then hit them in transition? We should instead stick to the one-dimensional approach you describing? It's amazing how many times this has happened this season and how many times you've had to point this out over the course of the season. It must be at least 2 or 3 times you've had to moan about this. Which is EXACTLY what Jose did in the second-half. You got what you wanted right down to a number 10 being introduced. We conceded. Thank god that's not what we do. Ever. That's not true. But hey, let's agree to disagree because I think you're simply a little upset that we lost a game we were expected to win.
  24. Intelligent runs off the ball, a commitment to get into spaces for crosses, dropping off and linking the play, a better aerial threat....all the things that Torres didn't. The guy has a knack of scoring and that's great, but he got on the wrong side of Jose. I wouldn't be surprised if he was sold.
  25. Really? Smaller games or just the last game we played? In games where we've dropped points we've generally created enough chances to win matches. A recurring theme. Come on then, what matches are you talking about? West Ham at home where we created 39 chances and butchered clear goalscoring opportunities? West Brom away where we were on our way to a 1-0 win until Victor Anichebe used his world-class pace and movement to get away from David Luiz? Stoke away where we again created more than enough chances, scored two goals and ultimately lost due to a combination of mistakes from Cech and an over-committing of players in attack. It's not a recurring theme. It's just a kneejerk reaction to a poor performance.
