  1. Maybe if his parent club were keen to negotiate, he would be playing PL football this season.
  2. they only won the UCL last season because they beat Bayern by a marginal VAR goal and then Dortmund collapsed in the final when it mattered most. If they win it this season, it will just prove how poor the rest of the European teams are.
  3. thats what happens when you have 2 LW's who are automatic starters every game and no balance in midfield.
  4. He rejected the contract extension and it was either sell him for a fee or let him walk next season for free (which doesn't help with our FFP issues).
  5. We'd be short in midfield though if he was to leave in January. Feel like end of season with Santos returning from a solid loan spell in Ligue 1 would be win win for everyone.
  6. I feel like we lost our chance at Duran in the previous window. Delap is raw but has the skills and he's also a City academy player so fits in the Maresca mold just like Mr. Sancho ๐Ÿ˜
  7. This is just a nice way of saying "no club has offered a serious transfer fee for this player and a loan wouldn't really benefit anyone". Same with Carney, Disasi...all bench players that aren't needed.
  8. We also got a bonus for Tino moving to Newcastle as his original deal with Southampton had a sell on fee for us (think the reports were saying 25-30% IIRC). Always thought from the academy days that Solanke was going to end up the best striker of the lot, even Mourinho mentioned years ago that the kid had it all, just needed to develop consistency in his game. Feels weird seeing him at Spurs though ๐Ÿ˜†
  9. The problem with playing United is their players have a knack of scoring those 50/50 chances (Garnacho, Bruno, Rashford etc) and they will definitely be out to prove a point to Amorim. Hopefully the team shows up for a battle as otherwise, I can see it becoming quite one sided.
  10. They've looked pretty average this season without Rodri in midfield and KDB doing his usual magic passes for the attackers.
  11. Palace and Forest showed that we are nowhere near the top sides yet. One big win vs Wolves and a heart-attack performance vs Brighton aside, we haven't been that good this season. If United hammer us, and then Arsenal hammer us (Havertz will be out to prove a point once again), we're back to square 1.
  12. It is at Old Trafford and they don't have Ten Hag in charge anymore, I'm expecting a convincing win for United. 3-1 sounds about right.
  13. It was expected, when you rotate most of the side and play reserve guys like Disaster & Badiashile together, you can't really expect a win. I knew as soon as my mate showed me the lineups that Newcastle were gonna win the game.
  14. I would say a combination of Neto/Sancho/Palmer/Madueke/Brazilian wonderkid would be enough for the AM roles. Chuks and Mudryk should be gone and the rumors around Nkunku aren't surprising, probably wants regular minutes to get into the National team.
  15. If United do get Amorim, he's going to bring his best players with him.
  16. To be fair, they were the ones that originally wanted Mudryk and he's basically a bench player at Chelsea right now ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  17. KDH would only be sold if Maresca gets sacked, he's just a backup player anyway, brought in as Maresca wanted to bring one of his favorites with him.
  18. You would have to take a significant loss on Enzo for that to happen. No-one is going to pay the 110+ million that we paid Benfica...๐Ÿ˜†
  19. Exactly, I always questioned how Real Madrid would have a balanced side without a player like Kroos in midfield. The French duo and Valverde are great at most things but definitely not creativity.
  20. Well...KDB was interested in a move elsewhere to finish his career, Saudi offered him huge money and City will need someone to fill that playmaker role.. You put everything together and the easiest headline is: "City want Palmer back" ๐Ÿ˜†
  21. He needs a JT/Cahill type next to him, feel like the talent is there and he won't be helped by having no real leaders alongside him.
  22. Probably not for long as Madueke doesn't seem to have much consistency.
  23. In the next few weeks, we got Newcastle, Man United and Arsenal. Will be interesting to see if we're able to get more than 3 points
  24. As long as we don't get hammered by 3 or more goals. Will be interesting to see how Maresca sets up for this one, draw wouldn't be a bad outcome at their home ground.
  25. There's been some pretty good 'english' players who have starred in the premier league, we used to have a number of those guys in the World XI and other lineups over the years. Lamps, Gerrard, Rio, JT, Ashley Cole, Scholes, Beckham, Shearer to name a few...๐Ÿ˜†
