I wish he was more hardworking off the ball, he seems so lethargic and casual off the ball which will make me too scared to place him in my pivot. He can only play in a role where he is protected by other DM's like pirlo in juventus. He has massive talent and vision, but he has terrible work rate. If he plays as the attacking midfielder, his vision for passes from deep will be wasted. But if he plays deep, offers no defensive cover..... its confusing. He needs to buff up and develop his defensive side to finally step up into the team.

@Choulo19 has been trying to degrade MVG since he came here, I don't know if he feels he is a threat to mikel The kid reminds me of ballack, very dominant defending and is quick in releasing the ball. That's why a lot of people don't notice him, he doesn't hold the ball slowly for 5 seconds everytime like mikel does to slow down play. He quickly passes it on to speed up the play.

This^^It wasn't just essien, it was the pivot partnership of essien and MVG that worked wonderfully well that made the fowards better. No ramires in the first half to be misplacing all his passes, it was annoying. MVG reminds me of ballack. Immediately mvg was taken off the defence collapsed in the 2nd half. Mceachren was good attacking wise with great vision and passing, but he needs to work more. on his defending if he wants to play more in the pivot. His timing of tackles was off. I think hazard was drunk today lool Lukaku needs to work on his ball control (first touch and quick passing) he doesn't look like he'll survive against teams that crowd the box, especially since we'll hold the possesion. Schurrle looks terrible, I'm hoping its match fitness. Traore was great, I like his ball control. (I'm a fan of people who have great first touch I know ) KDB, my goodness.
