We have conceded 11 goals in january and the month is not yet over. Wtf Just terrible, I keep on watching us and realizing how bad our defenders are at man to man defending. Willian just holds unto possession and recycles the ball. Cuadrado is by far the more direct player. He's completely different in the way he approaches the opponent. He will replace schurlle as our direct player.

Even Liverpool has realized that our weakness is that right side of our defence. They kept on attacking through there. I can't believe Mourinho hasn't seen this problem.

Spot on. But to be honest, that performance gives me no confidence in the Champions League against big teams. We just can't defend as well as we did last season. I am blaming this on the fact that a midfield of Matic-mikel-fabregas is too slow. If we try to defend any lead against any big champs lge team, we'll be in trouble unless ramires comes in for mikel or even Matic-ramires-oscar with two Brazilians providing proper energy we can recover and easily track fast runners. If Mourinho wants to defend with a very slow midfield like we did against Liverpool, we won't even make it to the semi-final of the champs lge.

Yesterday hazard was nullified by markovic and can on the left side. But I never expect any quality action play from our right wing so I knew our attacking play was gone as Hazard was having a poor time. He needs the other winger to take some burden off his shoulders and cuadrado is better than the rest of our right wingers at that.

@thechels What makes athletico better is because they also hold possession under pressure in big games, that's our real weakness and not pressing like you think. If we improve our possession play to conserve energy and relieve pressure we would be even better in the big games. The time they tried to sit back totally, they lost the Champions League final. So their defense isn't as impenetrable as you think.

Good, hazard can't do all the dribbling on his own. And we'll be getting a long range shooter and the top assists player in the worldcup.
