  1. I think Eto'o or Ba should start vs cardiff, Torres should definitely start against schalke as that game suits him a lot since he will have space to operate against a schalke side that love to attack.
  2. He would do well as a second striker
  3. True but one can't deny he is exhibiting world class form at the moment despite not yet being world class.
  4. Hatrick whooow. Exactly the kind of technical player we've been lacking since gudjohnsen
  5. Its good he is in scoring form we need goals
  6. A World class player is one that performs well at a high level for most periods of the best moments of his footballing career at all grounds even on the moon. Some players have temporary world class form(ribery, mata) others have permanent world class form and status(CR7,Messi,xavi,pirlo,iniesta, lampard, zidane, totti e.t.c), such world class players still retain their world class talent even when the become old and physically unable to carry on. I don't like to compare but mata himself mentioned he had his best season in his career last season but he wasn't even a contestant for ballon d'or or a starter for spain in euros. I am not biased by saying i am proud to be a chelsea fan but even more so that our successes have been able to attract current active brasil internationals. Oscar is showing world class form( that is same form in UCL,EPL and internationals) If he continues his form at this tender age over the season and into the world cup and seasons to come that will make him a world class player.
  7. Fair points I expect more improvement from oscar despite his current performances(he should have scored twice today) but I expect even more improvement from mata as based on his current form mata isn't playing as good as schurrle yet never mind oscar.
  8. To be fair it was a deflected goal but the goal was very important.
  9. I disagree. Mancity, liverpool, Manu have far better strikers than lukaku and are still struggling to keep up. Etoo with his experience will be more decisive for chelsea in EPL and europe than lukaku currently.
  10. I'd like to see stats on the number of chances he has created so far in chelsea. I think he has done well except the scoring which will surely come soon.
  11. If we win the league will it still be a mistake? I don't think so but do you?
  12. After watching oscar for brasil today i think Mata should be No.10 and Oscar No.9. No more debate?
  13. Lukaku is quality and wanting him to be even better as a developing player where i observe he has potential to still develop isn't criticism especially if I am a chelsea fan that's why when the media and some turned fans criticise chelsea for sending him on loan i find it funny because on reading some articles it seems like we have already discarded a 20 year old striker without giving him a chance but the reverse is the case and if i was belgian i would be happy because it guarantees him more playing time than even if he is the first choice striker at chelsea. With his experience with everton this season and also his first world cup most people will know that his loan spell was another very smart move by mourinho for a player with a long term future at the club.
  14. He played as and like a No. 9 for that goal. Intelligent positioning for the pass, smart run to beat the keeper and Composed finish with his left foot to cap it off. Now we know we have quite a star on our hands.
  15. He was really good defensively today. People may argue but he is clearly the best defender when he is on his game like today and against steau bacharest for chelsea and it shows almost to the point of intimidating attackers to unforced errors. He is really aggressive on the pitch for a nice guy.
  16. He is prolific we know that from last season and anderlecht(spelling), his goals are replicas though and i expect more diversity from him to be as effective compared to drogba (when his time comes at chelsea) as he would rarely get much space to run or around the box at chelsea. His potential is massive but for his size, strength and technical ability he should try more things like long range shorts, long range curler's(like one of his goal vs manu), and efforts with his back to goal, i also think he could be great with free kicks if he really works at it. His trademark headers, powerful runs and finish, are natural to him its the other aspects he needs to work on to be unstoppable.
  17. Oscar10 is on the pitch with luiz also playing. First to score?
  18. I think he should start on the left and hazard on the right he is much more direct when playing that position
  19. ^^^^ very nice read. Obviously we are playing a similar style to dortmund which means we are comfortable playing both possession based football or counter attacking football but with more tactical variability as a result of our more diverse player profiles and more tactics from mourinho generally.
  20. Why do you think oscar is all of a sudden our main goal outlet. I disagree because we have new midfielders/wingers and a new striker who together with our previously existing team are being gradually embedded into a new system of playing and the system is beginning to reap benefits as seen in the last games. So NO, oscar isn't our main/only goal outlet we always play with two wide attackers and a striker and soon enough our attackers will explode with brilliance under the guidance of mourinho.
  21. Age is just a number? Certainly not in football I laughed and stopped reading your post right there but in order to educate a little from facts i surrender to your post. Experienced coaches like mourinho, sir alex to name a few always make emphasis on the importance of age which brings about more confidence, knowledge, experience and maturity some like mourinho even believe a peak age is about 25 to 29 and i don't think you are a better coach than them. I even fail to see how any player can get more experienced without the natural sequence of age. Some players like messi/etoo/rooney/owen/torres where already incredible when they where young but became even better footballers with age except those that had serious injury problems like owen (may be) which results in a natural retardation in a players development. Lukaku isn't an exception and he will definitely get better with age - experience wise also as we are talking about football which is what the loan will provide him in a better and more competitive club than his last loan spell.
