A few matches ? He's had more than a few matches were he's got on like a knob. Thats were my problem with him lies. If he put in half the effort Sheva put in I wouldnt be arsed what he said/done off the pitch. Question: - Why do players like JT, Joe Cole, Essien and Riccy have so many fans claiming them to be their favourites? Answer: - Commitment on the pitch.......Do we get that from Drogba every game ?....no. Only when he feels like putting in a shift. Right now Drogba looks like he wants to put in a shift. I havent a problem with that. He's the best option available, even when he's being a knob. But its the commitment he lacks on a regular basis that gets under my skin. I might come across as a bit two faced on this, but my concern is for Chelsea, not Drogba.

You need to create chances for the strikers, or expect a moment of magic which is what we need atm.

Alex has a good bit of pace about him. There was a point during the West Ham match when he and Bellamy were runing for the ball and Alex matched him yard for yard. He may look big and awkward, but he's certainly not slow. Too much emphasis is being put on the loss of Riccy and Essien. I said this in the other thread, the problem is in attack. If we dont create chances we wont score goals. In the league we've hit 15 goals in 9 games to date at home. 9 of those goals came againt Portsmouth(4) and Sunderland(5), which leaves 6 goals spread out over 7 games. Pompey and Sunderland aside, we're not even averaging a goal a game. Thats shit by anyones standards. Thats where the problem lies.

I agree to a certain extent about missing Riccy and Essien, but the real problem is we're not creating enough chances to score goals. It was 44 minutes yesterday before we eventually got one one target. Thats not on.

Deco........Another terrible performance from him today. He offered very little if anything to the team today. Countless times he gave away posession with careless sloppy passes and yet when the substitutions came around he remained on the pitch. Is this because he's one of Scolaris signings ? One game he'd get the benefit of the doubt, but this kind of performance from him is becoming a regular occurance. He needs to be dropped imo to get his act together. We need to sacrafice the flair that benefits us away from home for the more in your face performance you need to sort our home form. How can LFS not see that this isnt working? Losing so many points at home already is pathetic. The game today cried out for Drogba. When he came on he caused problems for all of 10-15 minutes then the supply he needed didnt arrive. Theres no pint bringing on a player such as Drogba if you're not going to play to his strengths. Balls floated into the box isnt going to do any damage, they need to be whipped in and I dont recall once during the game when we got someone out wide to provide a single cross. We're too one dimensional. Teams have us sussed. The only thing keeping the boo boys off Scolari is our away form. If it was as bad as our home form we'd be sitting in 6th place on 26 points just above Everton and below Hull 12 points off the pace. Theres so much wrong with the way we're playing atm I could go on all night. Something needs to be done now. If this was Grant he's be hung drawn and quartered by now. Add to this we're told that RA doesnt want to part with his cash any more and its looking like more doom and gloom is on the horizon. Our next home game is against West Brom on Boxing Day. Either side of that is away games to Everton and Fulham then Southend in the FA Cup before traveling to Old trafford for a make or break game which will determine our season imo. We may have been spoilt over the last 5 years or so, but you at least expect more from your team at home than to go off the pitch at the final whistle with a whimper. Ever since I got this new top we havent won a game at home. I normally stick it on during match days, but thinking back I've only wore it during games at SB. So everyone can relax, Its all my fault. Fucking hell.......We get an early Christmas present and we fucking blow it. How much longer are we to suffer this bollocks. Today highlighted again how much we lack some width. When Bosingwa and Ash are pushed back we have no crosses coming in for the like of Drogba, Anelka, Lampard and Ballack to attack. to get chances continually probing in front of the defence takes a pin point pass and we cant expect to do that every game. We had no ideas at all. Even when Drogba came on, initially the tempo was lifted, but he had no service. The team knows what has to be done. I'd start with Drogba and throw Anelka on later if we get in front and West Ham are chasing the game. That way there'd be more space for him to take advantage of. I cant see Zola bringing a team to SB and "parking the bus". He'll want to win this match with the best intentions no matter what the history between us and himself.
