  1. And yea.. Sinclair would most definitely be moved on this summer.. Sad..
  2. Gr8 post Esk.. Totally agree with you.. Tbh, the ones I see really getting involved next season are Sturidge, Matic, Bruma and Stoch (provided his loan is not extended for another season).. Kakuta & Borini are still raw and need more experience before coming on to the 1st team.. Stoch has been very impressive.. Someone who can ideally replace our gud old Joey..
  3. Though he hasnt been outstanding, he hasnt been shoddy either !! Has alwes given a consistent 7/10 performance in his every game.. All he needs is a bit of a run to get things goin for him..
  4. Expect Drogs to feature as a sub.. But yea.. hes definitely gonna be in for the Hull game..
  5. Yea.. 4-3-3 is amazing for us.. But Didier brings new problems.. though good problems from Carlo's views !! I was surprised we dominated B'City so completely tbh.. Thot they wd hold us and frustrate.. But boy, was dat sum performance frm Malouda n Lamps.. Not to mention, Ballack n rest !! Hope Man U and Arse draw their game on Sunday.. That wd be d best result fr us
  6. For some reason, I believe we play better in a 4-3-3.. If Drogs is back we will hv to revert back to the diamond which means problems playing Malouda... because he is d one hu gives genuine width on our team and has been performing really well in past 3-4 games.. Oh well.. Hope Don Carlotte knows it better !!
  7. The tribunal has fixed the fee to 3.5m initially with it rising upto 6.5m based on 1st team appearances and international appearances.. Sounds fair to me.. Source: Guardian
  8. Aguero any day over Villa.. Agreed he hasn't achieved anything yet like Villa has but age has to be a major factor for our future signings.. He will have enuf time to bed in unlike Villa who if he hits d ground running wud be a major success or else a major failure.. also i think Aguero wud also be able to slot into the No.10 position with his dribbling and close control than Villa who is more of a striker..
  9. i suppose di santo would not be able to play against us because of the loan terms.. thats a pity.. wud hv lovd to see how d boy wud fare against us !!
  10. yea.. i kinda think its actually doing good as we see Alex, Ricky n Branislav getting equal match time without problem.. the same goes for our midfield too.. Only thing im worried about is y hasnt he given Zhirkov a start yet? He started for Russia last week.. But still Carlo preferred Cole who has just returned frm injury wd a shin pad to zhirkov who was fully fit.. Is he not impressin enuf in the trainings ?!?
  11. Thats bcoz Aguero is already a proven star while Gael is just bcomin one !! he still has a long way to go bfor reaching the status of Aguero or Pato.. And i know dats not gonna happen unless he plays regularly.. It would be great to gv him opportunities in the Carling and FA cups and cameo appearances frm the bench in BPL games.. And no one has said he is not worth it. I would like you to point at least one post in this forum who has actually told like that.. Evryone loves dat kid but we should jus nt push him too much and let him develop slowly.. dats all we r saying here..
  12. I guess it was in the press meet before Wolves game when a journo asked if he wud welcome Hiddink back.. Carlo said - 'Y not?? We could may be coach 2gether!!' He was joking though I dont see Carlo havin any problem if Guus does come back. Carlo is used to working in dat structure since his Milan days.. But like EskWeston said, it has to be done with the complete backing of Carlo..
  13. Dont blind urselves mate !! Kakuta is good.. But you cannot compare him with Ballack or even Deco for that matter.. It will take him at least a full 2 yrs to establish himself in the 1st team... Im not berating Gael here.. He is definitely a star for the future.. But just nt at present.. I dont know y im explainin !! your too deluded to understand that..
  14. yea.. we deifinitely need to win this game and d next wd City !! i wudnt mind an ugly 1-0 to us !!
  15. yea.. i loved dat part wer he feigned to look to pass to someone and in a flash he had taken it inside !! but the angle was against him nd found the side netting instead.. he also needs to use his right foot more.. may be i m wrong but i thot he was trying his best not to play with his right foot at all.. nt complaining just an observation cheers !!
  16. I dont think we shud relly be discussing where these lads r gonna fit in our current setup !! because we r playin a diamond only bcoz we hav a truck load of world class CMs !! In another 2-3 yr stime.. no more ballack or deco.. dats wen these lads r gonna be used and im sure carlo is not gonna try to fit them in his diamond.. he ll suitably change the formation to fit these lads.. maybe a 4-3-3 or a conventional 4-4-2.. who knows ??
  17. my first one was a juve - Del Piero in 1999 !! Cant forget that !! Next was Jimmy Floyd in 2003 i guess.. btw I remember Joe saying sumwer he was a man utd fan in the childhood days or sumthin like dat...
  18. A blow for sure.. But not so much of a worry when we have Ivano, Belleti and Paulo as cover !! Hope Zhirkov gets fit nw and gets to play in d left back position until Ashley returns !!
  19. This is one of those rare moments when Frank has got injured. He has pulled out of the engdland squad and has returned to the Club for treatment.. A thigh strain it seems.. Hope he recovers soon Source: Guardian Link: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/nov/12/frank-lampard-injured-england
  20. Just adding it in.. Have u guys seen the interview of Berzovsky in BBC somewhere around 2000 or 2001. That was a one on one in which he said all about how he lost Sibneft and the Russian national TV company to Abramovich. It was very revealing and kinda sad. Abramovich was his understudy back then or something like that and tricked him into selling the shares of Sibneft to various allies of his. Though, later when I came to know its Abramovich who bought Chelsea, all was forgotten Roman has close political ties and I can't see him losing this one. But its one thing suing him in Russia and totally different when he is sued in England where his political connections are limited. Hoping for the best though After all Putin should be able to do something
  21. I think this decision has something to do with us breaking even by 2012 than anything else.. Its salary as mentioned in the annual accounts was the highest amongst the non-playing staff at a whopping 2m a year. I had mentioned a couple of months back that Kenyon has pretty much done evrything we wanted outta him. All we need now is some young executive, probably a life long Chelsea fan or so, to maintain this momentum. Only part where I felt we could have done better is with a new stadium plan. I know we cannot expand ours to more than 52k or so. But still a Club like Chelsea should boast of a state of the art stadium which can map up to our Cobham reputation !!! So thanks to all good things he has done like the sponsorship deals (Not happy about our 15m a year Samsung deal after I heard of the 20m a year Liv-scums hv managed to get frm Stan Chart), numerous associations with Asian and African football associations and being a premier promoter of 2012 Olympics and 2018 WC bids !!! And good luck for the future...
  22. Belly or no belly.. Still a legend.. Hope he comes back to take some sort of an ambassador role or advisor role !!
  23. Is it just me or does he really look like hes lost a few pounds around his waist in that pic ?!?!
  24. As much as I dunt wanna see Deco being taken off when he is on song, I badly wanna see Joey play at the tip of the diamond for a few games.. That for me is his best position !! He has told before that he is looking for a central position on a long term as someone who wants to share the goal scoring burden of lamps and for me he is THE MAN to do it...
