Yeah was fuming at that as have at countless decisionss over the years. By the same token I admit to being sneakily happy when Carvalho impeded the keeper against Barca allowing JT to score the winner unseen by the ref. Swings and roundabouts. What youre advocating, if we're talking about corners for example, would result in a contact free set piece. Players would be reluctant to put in the slightest challenge for fear of retrospective retribution in terms of trial by cctv. On the other hand corners are ridiculous atm, every one should result in about four penalties
It would be good to cut out diving possibly, but it could also be the thin end of the wedge. The next logical step would be everything monitored, as with cctv in society at large. Eventually every nudge off the ball, every infringement, would be eradicated. Corners for instance would be transformed into a near enough contact less sport. It aint broke so dont fix it . I am sure the Dutch have good intentions but let them stick to what they do best, total football, soft drugs and hardcore pornography.
Zola had decided to go before Abramovich arrived, family, napoli, cosa nostra etc and no amount of pleading and contract negotiating would change his mind. Big regret he was sold though ...
Pops up on R5 now and again saying where clubs have gone wrong. Was, and still is as far as I know, a Liverpool season ticket holder, and was part of the Hicks Gillete popular front. Still hes not replacing Gourlay so hopefully steers clear of the football side of things.
Impressive English 17 year old made his senior debut coming on for Oscar in the Champions League against Maribor. Having scored 18 times for the academy last season a similar proliferation of goals in the seniors would be most welcome, -providing he gets enough playing time in the next few seasons. Loan deal is the norm though....
Brilliant. Jose seems to have just found out as well when he was intervewed on itv the other night alluding to the incident said " Fabregas is abetter guy than I thought"
