  1. An old lady was walking past Wembley laden down with heavy shopping just as Greg Dyke was coming out, he sees her and says "Can you manage love?" "I don't want the fcuking job" she replies
  2. So much greed in football. Allardyce was done bang to rights a few years ago, again with hidden cameras taking football bungs. God knows how he got away with it. Supposed to be training the England team right now, but hes not, and the FA are discussing his future
  3. Shame he didn't play against the goons on Saturday -always has a good game against them
  4. Yeah not sure Conte is settled yet -however like I said he is a decent manager but he's not a magician. Unless he is backed with money and freedom of choice in the transfer market, which frankly seems unlikely, we won't be bothering the top 4 for a while.
  5. Some people seem to be struggling with their dislike of Jose to see what's going on here. Anyone genuinely surprised by the results against Liverpool and arsenal is kidding themselves. Our squad is average and the hierarchy of the club is both responsible and accountable. The manager is a decent manager but he's not a magician. Unless he is backed with money and freedom of choice in the transfer market, which frankly seems unlikely, we won't be bothering the top four for a quite a while
  6. No need to apologise for an opinion. Not convinced Conte is the real deal myself, and he'll doubtless be given the old Abramovich elbow soon. Then what ? Who wants the poison chalice then ? Running out of names. The board for their inactivity during transfer windows and underperforming shitcunts yesterday have to take a large slice of blame imo
  7. Its easy for the club to deflect to the manager, but they can only work with the tools theyre given. Conversely you can have a no mark manager do a half decent job who inherits diamond tipped power tools like Avi. Bottom line the Buckenalo have failed to invest, I don't know why, but Abramovichs shares went down or something but still has six yachts and mansions all over the globe. Anyway, its being managed overall fucking shit, micro managed by Emanalo, and symptomatic of that was Cahill and Brana signing new contracts when we were managerless. The point is hes still surrounded by Yes men and women who worked at Sibneft, non football people. It aint getting better, -can you imagine Neymar, Messi and Suarez up against Brana and Cahill Lol- Hulls Snodgrass and Diamonde must be licking their lips, never mind Aguero
  8. We made a dreadful Swansea side look decent the other week. If Arsenal weren't so Arsenal-ish and Walcott wasn't so shit, we'd have lost by six or seven today; they actually let us off the hook to a certain degree I think. Play like that against City and I would genuinely expect them to knock in double figures. The tragic thing is the players actually look fitter and sharper than last season, just shows you cant polish a turd
  9. The symptoms of Keystone cops defending, Flappy failing to verbally command his area are overshadowed by the lack of leadership on the pitch. Cahills comedic performance, Ivanovichs delightful chip into there advancing players- both players given contracts when we were managerless. Its obvious that we will finish mid table, and as I said last season, we are destined for mediocrity with Conte probably gone by Christmas. This will mask the massive under investment by Abramovich and the board, in a money driven industry, leaving us chasing 8-10 teams in front
  10. Lol you were never that cynical when you joined this forum LDN I would say this lad would do a job for us -his awareness, positioning is superb -seen him play twice now. Better or equal to Rashford imo. Our clubs probably done a deal with Vitesse who are probably rubbing their hands at getting him next season.....
  11. So he has a go at journos, calling them football Einsteins etc. Not a wise move. The next thing all these incriminating quotes surface, that they've been sat on waiting to release. As Tautvix said they were bigging him up at the start. Build him up and knock him down, its what they do in the US to black sports people Special Once
  12. We haven't invested in another quality defender- probably because Zouma is still on the books. Think Cahill is becoming a bit of a scapegoat in all honesty, and even with JT next to him, JTs leadership, which can compensate for lack of pace, doesn't seem so prevalent now. I think most people would have wished JT a fond farewell had we had the required characters and quality coming in to take his place. Sadly, I don't think Luiz or Cahill aren't really on the same planet as a player like Terry, and Zouma has an awful long way to go to get anywhere near that, and the injury won't have helped. Makes you realise how rare the diamond defenders we had are ...JT, Carvalho, Ashley
  13. Yeah seen all sorts bounded about 2,500 to 15 000. Isnt it 10 % or something ? You just know theyre going to stitch us up on H and S grounds, and Sky are going to be crawling all over this
  14. For me the 70s and 80s were the best time to be a fan. OK bit short of silverware, but the games were the best to attend, though obviously not for some. On to West Ham game, I reckon that Olympic Stadium is the kiss of death for them. The Boleyn ground had atmosphere, close to the action, a bit like SB. Hope we learn from them with our development. So on the positive reckon loads of teams will win there - the negative being a Watford mate went the other week, and said the segregation is non existent, and with our history of punch ups with them, carnage looms. The stewards either don't give a fuck or are too heavy handed - so some tell everyone to sit down, whilst others ignore people stood up -that was why you had loads of West Ham fighting amongst themselves last week. I expect them to sort out the segregation, especially as we may have around 15 000 going
  15. I also tend to be at games which are the last before our managers are sacked- mind you that's not that difficult
  16. Not this time. City fans are creaming themselves over him, and I bet Vitesse cant wait till they get him
  17. That is fucking tough luck my friend, really tough. Do Romanian bookies give you the option to cash out ?? As for West Ham, I reckon that Olympic Stadium is the kiss of death for them. The Boleyn ground had atmosphere, close to the action, a bit like SB. Hope we learn from them with our development. So on the positive reckon loads of teams will win there - the negative being a Watford mate went and said the segregation is non existent, and with our history of punch ups with them, carnage looms. The stewards either don't give a fuck or are too heavy handed - so some tell everyone to sit down, whilst others ignore people stood up -that was why you had loads of West Ham fighting amongst themselves last week. Fingers crossed they go down....
  18. That's a great story- what were most of the bets on ? Was it the EPL on just people winning on loads of different events ? You never see a poor bookie, that's why everyone likes to see them caned
  19. Unlucky mate. Always one match lets you down on the accies. I find the most profitable involve no more than 3 games
  20. Hope you all followed the advice to bet on 'both teams to score'. Our watertight defence have only kept a clean sheet against Burnley. Bookies getting wise now though, odds cut 4/7 from 4/5 last night. You can still make money though. £1546 up so far....
  21. Good cup game, good performance. Lets carry the momentum straight into the Emirates Stadium
  22. Played for both teams..... Schwarzer,Frank Sinclair , Huth, Rofe, Weller, Kante , Kember, Wise Garland, Speedie, Birchenall Manager Ranieri
