If we were at least clued in to who our own transfer targets are it would ease the pain of seeing one of our legends go to a hated rival. Something to look forward to.
Instead we have absolutely no clue as to who we're buying and are weakening what we already have.

It'll be close to 65k. 2 Bridges, 1 to West Brompton and 1 to the back of Fulham Broadway. They will lower the ground. Wembley is looking the most likely temp ground.

If you want to see the kind of player he is watch the Youth cup run last year when he was captain, the both semi-final legs and the finals; And his performances for the England u19 btn August December last yr.
He is incredibly talented both physically and technically and has a very high ceiling.
Having said that, I'm still skeptical about him because he is very inconsistent and can be lazy on the pitch.
I think the issue for those is his stamina. It might be because he is getting used to his body; being a teenager and massive. Matic had the same problem when he was here at first(and he was even older), but now can even rival Ramires in stamina( but no one can rival Ramires stamina when he is in peak condition).
I have watched almost all the youth games on Chelsea tv over the last 3 yrs. RLC has improved his fitness in the last yr. Hence some of those monster performances at the end of the youth cup last yr. He also had a good number of very good performances at the beginning of the u21 league and regularly played 90mins for the first time in yrs. I think that's why he was promoted to the first team in December.
But the PL is a whole difference beast. I think people expect too much from him too soon. He will have to take his fitness to a whole new level, because the real issue with him is stamina. He will need at least two yrs to feature regularly. He has to be carefully eased in to be protected(from quick to judge harsh fans who expect world class performances from him this early) and to enable him to build up his fitness and familiarity with the league without being overwhelmed.
I think 10-17 appearances next yr are enough for him, then 15-25 the following yr and then he might be ready to contribute regularly after that.
He has the trust of the coach and the club, so it will be up to him to deliver when given the chance and show progress.
I think If he fulfills his potential, he will be a world class box to box midfielder because he clearly has the talent. On his day in youth games, he can dribble and drive the ball forward with power, technique and pace like no other, attributes that are very rare in players.

His finishing which always looked neat has been a nightmare lately. He's missed some sitters recently that had me pulling my hair off. I again blame it on confidence (lack of it) and when I say this I'm not giving him an excuse, I'm actually demanding him to find a way to build confidence from something, somehow... if he doesn't start building confidence, he'll never be better than an average player (as I believe most of his inconsistency lies on his lack of confidence - and some of it lies on the physical demands he can't cope with). I think a player like him should end the season with 15 goals and 15 assists to justify his place in the team, but a double digit return of assists isn't bad imo (and he's only one away from it) it's the goals and the overall passing that has been terrible.

Got really close with him and his brother now, spent last Thursday with his brother for around 3 hours. I went to Ken's house and collected him and brought him to training whilst Ken was away with Nigeria. On Tuesday Ken does a small training session with a group of young Nigerian lads, it keeps his fitness up and it's a bit of fun with hardly any contact. His injury from International duty is fine now, he's been working hard at Rockliffe with the medical team since getting back and he hopes to feature in the up and coming promotion push.
I'm with him and his brother again tonight, I take my little lad along and my lad and Ken have a good kick around and we both chat to him for long periods of time. I tend not to mention football because I think it must come a bit monotonous for him, so it's just normally banter and food related chat. When we do speak about it he just says he is staying very focused and working as hard as he can to reach his goals and ambitions. This lad is a complete and utter gentleman...He absolutely adores my lad to a point on Tuesday my mobile went and it was a FaceTime call from Ken We chatted for almost half an hour, mostly him and my lad talking football and him asking how his football was going.
Kenneth Omeruo

Dy-lan reacted to GodZola in 🇷🇸 Nemanja Matic
Routledge rightly got his red rescinded, Vertonghen gets fuck all & can play in the the cup final, yet Matic gets a 2 game ban for nearly having his leg broken/career over - fucking priceless!
I've heard Keith Hackett & today Richard keys state that was the most inept refereeing performance in the PL era.....Graham Poll & Mark Halsey both stated that Matic reaction was not violent but aggressive so therefore the punishment should warrant a yellow only especially after the nature of the event, Poll stated that cus Matic pushed below the neckline it doesn't warrant a red card....meanwhile Wankinson gets to be fourth official on Sunday then given a PL match the week after, Halsey made the very same error with the Mcmanaman case & admitted he hadn't seen the incident cus a player blocked his view (perfectly understandable) his punishment.....he got stood down for 6 weeks.....
There has been widespread condemnation of the tackle & Wankinson's performance yet the Fuck All had the chance to save the microscope bit of credibility they had left......again however, we get fucked over by their incompetence, reducing the ban to 2 games is a sympathetic way of laughing at us, Matic must be heartbroken, in a nutshell they are saying that its fine to break another players leg & end a players career but you can't push anyone cus that's excessive, great example to kids watching & trying to learn the right way to play the game.....
Whilst I've never gone with the conspiracy theories, this whole episode has certainly turned my head & added food for thought, I think this will do the same for neutrals from now til the end of the season - not that it will benefit us in anyway but people are going to be having second thoughts now.
I spent sometime at Southampton's academy when my young relative was there for 6 years, he wasn't pulling up tree's but was def going in the right direction, til he reached 14, then a certain Steve Greaves was his coach for 2 years & without going into everything that I experienced, he was fucking useless, so to my horror I read he was Wankinson's assessor on Sat, says it all that he agreed with the worst refereeing performance in the Pl era, the FA are already a laughing stock but trust me its going to get a whole lot worse, especially with clowns like Greaves given an assessors role but why am I not surprised!

Being the only team in London with a European cup and having the 4th biggest stadium is pretty poor.
Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham all above us. Embarrassing.

Dy-lan reacted to supporter in 🇫🇷 Kurt Zouma
Repost from "Is Kurt Zouma the New Desailly?".
http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/20020-is-kurt-zouma-the-new-desailly/#entry1058840
Sorry if I upset someone by my repost. Excuse me.
Kurt Zouma is already a reality. A TOP Centre-back for the next decade.
If I had to compare him with other Centre-backs I would choose Desailly, Carles Puyol and Samuel Kuffour, and for his great speed of reaction with Gallas.
1. Very fast to the shock, very fast in anticipation, in reaction and its movements on the pitch.
2. A very blunt player. Zouma defends in a similar way like Carles Puyol. Very strong when he attacks the rivals, but forcefulness without aggressiveness. I think Zouma is a player with great nobility in his way of playing. He is not a player who can be prone to red cards. He is aggressive without violence, and that will allow him to be a great player because he will accumulate very few yellow and red cards.
3. Now he plays quiet. At the beginning of the season he played doubting himself. Kurt is now full of confidence. He plays like a veteran, he is not afraid to make important decisions.
4. Zouma plays with intelligence. He never is precipitated in his actions, and expects the best time to attack the balloon.
5. He has an impressive jump. It reminds me, and not just physically, Samuel Kuffour (Bayern Munich 1996-2005). He has a power and forcefulness similarly.
6. It also has a mind that lets you learn very quickly. In just a few months training every day with Jose, Kurt has improved his performance spectacularly Better and better every day. His future with us will be spectacular. In addition, he has a great mental strength. After his failure at Old Trafford, the most normal thing was that he would have been demoralized. However, this mistake has made him mentally more stronger. It is not easy recover from a failure in a great match for such a young guy.
I think Zouma is no longer a promise, Zouma is already a reality, a great reality. A TOP Centre-back for the next decade.
Zouma will be part of our history. Jose`s player 100%.
We can be very happy and proud of Kurt.
Regards to ALL.

Btw if you guys want to know how ridiculously lucky we are to be having this sort of conversation. Look at MU forums, they are debating how they their strikers can't run to save their lives, City talks about how they are a one man Yaya team and Mangala/Fernando being worthless, Arsenal about Wenger out, Liverpool about how good Lambert and Balotelli are.
Here we are, talking about how a good player in the team can be upgraded to world class level don't you love it as a Chelsea fan, long may it continues haha

Dy-lan reacted to dee25 in 🇧🇪 Eden Hazard
I choked on my coffee after reading this. The question of whether Hazard should be played in the middle is dependant on a whole host of factors, but to say that he doesn't have the speed of thought and vision to play that role is quite frankly an inaccurate assessment of the player. Hazard's natural inclination is to create goals. He demonstrates this in every game.

Dy-lan got a reaction from sLOVEnian Blue in 🏴 Ryan Bertrand
I'm happy for him but sad at the same time. I've always rated him, like someone else said its hard to remember him having a bad game. Think my soft spot also stems from the fact that he was the closest thing we had to a youth player to break through and play a decent part in the squad in ages.
For me he's a top player and top professional and he'll always have that CL final to reminisce on
Good luck Ryan!
