  1. Realistically, I think we should be at least putting in a decent title challenge and aim for one of the domestic cups + as far as possible in the CL. The problem with saying at least a quarter/semi in the CL (or any knockout competition for that matter)is that you can easily draw the eventual winners/finalists in the round of 16 etc - there is always an element of luck. As Jose said in his interview, to win the CL you need a little "click", sometimes you have it, sometimes you don't. Therefore, if we got knocked out by Bayern in the Ro16 I don't think that would constitute a failure of a season on its own. Also, another important factor by which to measure a season as successful would be how the team has progressed and improved (not only individually but collectively). E.g. tightening up the defence, getting our no.9 to score goals, retaining possession better etc. I believe Mourinho also touched on this in his interview. Overall, I'd be happy seeing our team play some good football whilst not leaking too many goals and always making improvements for the future.. that is most important.
  2. Amazing interview... "i don't need holidays..." "i am disappoint there is no training tomorrow" haha
  3. I think his time at Madrid and Inter will serve him well, he seems a bit more mature and collected - possibly even humbled. Can't wait to see the interview at 6.30
  4. fucking yes!! interview on chelsea tv at 6.30 !1 fucking come on
  5. For me, he was Brazil's best player until they took him off. Why did the fans boo when he left?
  6. The one who gets them their bloody 'la decima', only then they'll be rewarded by the sack as soon as something inevitably goes wrong. Sounds familiar.
  7. In that vid he even manages to make Torres look decent!!
  8. Damn, saw 17 views on this topic and thought there was some evidence of us signing him
  9. **dream starts** IN: Cavani, Mangala, De Rossi (all dream signings + one for the future in Luke Shaw, if at all possible with a loan back to Saints) + Lukaku & KdB from loan OUT: Torres, Essien (sad to see what he has become but his wages are too high for what he offers, and we need to move on) + Yossi, Malouda etc.. Loan: keep the others (except Lukaku and KdB) on loan, Curtois for one more year, try and get Chalobah into a PL team (lets just hope they weren't watching the Playoff final, and will look at his season as a whole). The biggest signing, as many have said, is Jose Mourinho. With this we would undoubtedly be challenging for major honours. (4-2-3-1) ------------Cech---------- Azpi--Mangala--Luiz--Cole ------De Rossi--Oscar/Ramires -KdB------Mata----Hazard ------Cavani/Lukaku-- I am not sure if it would be best to switch Oscar and KdB's positions but I think Oscar looks great centrally and, despite being Brazilian, is very good defensively and has a great work-rate. Also, alongside a good defensive partner in De Rossi he could thrive, in my completely inexperienced opinion. I also feel Lukaku would get a lot of games if he came here as a no.2 to Cavani and doubt it would stall his development much. If we can't get Cavani, and I doubt we can get Falcao/Lewandowski, I think we should look to make Lukaku our no.1 and focus our energy on him, instead of buying someone else who might get in his way and may not do any better. **ends dream**
  10. That's a pretty scary team, and with a proper manager coming in next season it could be title-winning. But it is only scary if the manager can get them playing properly and consistently, Silva has been pretty shocking recently and is still held in high regard because of his first 6 months IMO. Kompany has made a lot of mistakes, Toure sometimes looks like he can't be bothered in the smaller games and Hart has made quite a few errors. So yeah, if their new manager can get the best out of those players then they will be a real force in the CL and PL.
  11. Would be awesome but Porto are stingy as fuck
  12. If we don't get either Cavani/Lewa/Falcao then we should really put our faith in Lukaku next season as there is no point buying a striker of lesser quality that could keep him out of the team.
  13. You can watch it for free here: http://www.chelseafc.com/chelseatv-live?WT.mc_id=CmpType:SocialMedia*Asset:Twitter*CmpID:ManCityFTV*Other:CTVO*Other:NewYork (if you're uk based I think)
  14. Yes, and even more impressively I believe 14 of those were sub appearances and sometimes he was deployed on the right wing of a 4-3-3. All in his first real season of English football, at the age of 19-20.
  15. oh my god, legend. Huge man crush on him Sign him up ffs
  16. would be ecstatic if this went through but won't get excited unless something concrete is released...
  17. Adebayor starting as well, good for us
  18. Dembele is a huge loss for them
  19. Moyes to Utd, Jose to Chelsea - Don't think any Chelsea fan could complain about that!! Now I pray City keep that Muppet Mancini.
  20. I know it seems weird because having this happening (Cavani to City and Lewy to Utd.) would be strengthening our rivals, but I want to see it happen (so long as we get Falcao!). The PL was piss-poor this year and I hope next year it can be stronger.
