Auba, Lukaku, Ronaldo…

Correct. We will most likely have the most players there just like last time, so I understand us loaning out more players for gametime. The season run-in will be extra hard on us as a consequence. I really hope our new board is smart enough to anticipate this. It makes however no real sense to loan out players who are unlikely to feature in the WC anyway such as CHO, Trev, Ziyech or players who will be playing even if they only sit in the stands for us till winter such as pulisic. Honestly, I would prefer no more loans for players with a realistic chance to help us at all. Get rid of the deadwood but none more of the others.

RCB is not the problem. We have only KK for LCB with Cucu a very unfortunate backup. Only KK and Thiago can play CCB and they ideally play both. What we are doing this window for CB position is reckless and naive. The best business done was actually unvoluntarily by missing out on useless Ake and Kounde. In fact if we sell Trev we would need two buy two more CBs. Despite all the complaining and advertising we would buy 2-3 cbs we are now net still now net one cb shorter than we were last year while also having lost quality. If we consider Trev only capable of palying RCB and bring in Fofana, fine we can loan him but that still does not help us with us with the problem at ccb and lcb. we can not expect anyting from the season if we effectively have 4 players for 3 positions James or Cucureall a being able to paly cb or not

Casemiro is 30. And they will pay 60m for him. That is exactly the kind of deal Manure have been doing for years and it has got them nowhere. Long may it continue
-
It’s shambles this like American military contracts they have to pay 30k for a tent just cos the producer knows how big a budget they have
-
Fair enough for the wingers/AMs but for CB we would still be paperthin if we exchanged Trevoh for Fofana. We would have koulibaly, a 38 y.o., over the hill Azpi and a returnee from injury as only recognised CBs. RJ and cucu can play there but they just should not cos they are better elsewhere. We can not complain about not having enough CBs all summer and then basically sign two and let Trev, colwill, ampadu leave
-
We would be foolish to send Pulisic on loan if we stell expect to loan out CHO, sell Ziyech. Same with Trev If we send them out before securing replacements we will be rinsed by the selling clubs even more. It will be a huge ass season with the stupid WC squeezed in betwen. We two full XIs or more. Getting rid of all 4 would leave our squad paper thin in crucial positions.

It is just pathetic. ManUre fans throwing a tantrum, their ex players stomping their feet and suddenly everybody and their dog signals interst to buy the club. You can not always have it your way, this valuable lesson seems lost to everybody associated with ManUre. Just hope the Glazers will have none of it and steer the club further into the abyss. They have been deaf to fan criticism all those years.... should not stop now

Apparently Anderson is now facing death threats from the always classy bin dippper fans anyway in that headbutt scene it is clear to see Nunez lied about his height. Not even close to 1.87
-
That is just disgusting if true Probably compensating for how RJ whipped his ass when I last saw him play hope he ends up serving a lengthy jail time Carragher has ejected the last remnants of his brain when spitting at little girls when Klopp was at Dortmund he had one season where he had them in relegation zone halfway through the season when his new striker Immobile shat the bed. He is overdue a season like that in England
-
I would say he is at least a year ahead of Broja in his development but they are completely different players who could coexist. Gouiri is obv not the athlete broja is but he is technically on a level that is beyond broja’s ceiling. Also more versatile, can operate anywhere in attack. Broja to me is still really raw. Based on last season he can look brilliant at times, leaving defenders in his wake with his pace and physicality, score from anywhere and then go missing for weeks. Just so so inconsistent. Gouriri on the other hand has had two very consistent seasons of reaching close to double figures in both goals and assists. That’s why I compared him to Muriel or Jesus. He won’t bang in 20 goals every season but he makes the players around him look better by creating spaces with his intelligent dribbling and passing. Can easily see him score 10 assist 10 this season or more
-
Tbf he dispossessed Jorginho which is hardly a tough order
-
Could be worse but clearly NG is coming to an end. When he plays,he is still as good as he used to but his injuries will slowly get the better of him. Now Conor can finally show what he got. I think he will do a good job but he is no NG. Guess TT will go with RLC in CM first tho
-
Not sold on him either but you can not deny the ability being there. France has historically been a more precise market for PL than say Italy or Germany. Other than PSG I think it is in general more difficult to score there than in those two. I would honestly much rather take a punt on guys like Gouiri, N'Dicka, Maehle who are reasonably priced, promising and might very well be good enough than on like Auba, gordon and to some extent Fofana who we know are not good enough yet/anymore.
-
On a different note @Vesper what do you think about Amine Gouiri? Looks like a quick, technically very polished all action striker maybe a mix between Jesus and Muriel. Great team player assists as much as he scores. Not sure about his pressing and overall size but is young enough to work on both. Apparently PSG want to sign him for less than 40m euros which is a reasonably price.
-
Yeah but as normal investment capital in Clearlake closed-end funds not as means to bankroll Chelsea^^
-
Yup him, Gordon, Auba and Fofana are completely pointless signings. Paying huge sums for average players. Fofana and Auba I can atleast understand the reasoing, we need these kind of players and now are forced to overpay cos everybody and his dog knows the predicament we are in. But they are both not the needed quality.

I never bought Maureen’s 11 Azpis would win the CL but a gk and 10 RJ would for sure there is just nothing he can’t do.
-
The motivation for the Saudis investing in Nucastle is sportswashing. They want to shake off their humans rights record and burnish their image by getting publicity via their very visible involvement in the PL. why would they also support ilium club behind closed doors? They would not get anything out of it
-
Looked at some vids of the kid and he really has electric pace. but he also hits the deck every few mins which is not even his fault. He simply can not stay at his feet very well due to his relatively high centre of gravity for a winger. We already have this kind of runner in Pulisic and Havertz. And while I have seen Gordon sprint as quickly as Salah i would prefer someone like the latter with a sturdy built who can stay on his feet and ride challenges. If we want a flashy pace merchant with 0 end product we can as well sign Adama Traore who would be available for cheap.
-
On a completely different note, why do we not wear the golden world champions badge on our new shirts? Usually one is allowed to wear it up until a new world champion is found.
-
I see. thougth they had this billionaire pumping money into the club plus they have already made a decent profit this window Anyway, we do not need Gordon. I do not think he is the level we should be looking for.
-
If they think they got one over us with that pathetic display they should look at their trophy cabinet and ours. If that is the moment they will print their DVDs of let them have it. Cos when they consider a stolen point a win, they are already so deep beneath us, we do not need to worry. If their best team in ages needs a corrupted ref to win a point here and they celebrate it like they won the title, they can as well join QPR or Milwall on the list of insignificant rivalries we simply cast aside Nonetheless, we will make them pay at Three Point Lane.
-
yeah no shit you could see the glee in his face when he fked us over in the fa cup final vs arsenal. he was literally crying with joy. Even if you assumed there was no systematic discrimination against us you can still see clear as day that Cnthony is someone who enjoys abusing his power and has an especially perverse satisfaction is fking us over.
-
I think he was bought as heir to Thiago who will probably hang up his boots in a year. Then K2 can be the defensive anchor to play in the middle of the 3, which is the position that needs the most experience.
