Good. He is terrible

Future wc Goalkeepers are the hardest to predict. Single mistakes or injuries can wreck entire careers at any point. Most other players are characterised by their success but goalies are defined by the magnitude of their mistakes. 12-14 years ago there was a debate who was better Manuel neuer or Rene Adler. Both same age and starters for Bundesliga clubs . Most leaned towards Adler, so did Joachim Löw. After Robert Enkes suicide, we had to find a new nt goalie and Rene Adler was the chosen one. Unfortunately he injured himself due to overtraining and never really recovered. He went on to have a mediocre Bundesliga career and neuer became one of the best gks in history.

Yeah but long term neither are the right fit. Kepa can be beaten from range and with spamming crosses, Mendy by being constantly pressed into mistakes. let’s hope this chap Slonina is indeed the real deal and can succeed them.

No, you are right. Arsenal will crumble when the going gets tough and they are missing key players. But still they have improved mentally. Just last season they would have easily crumbled today and on various other occasions after being pegged back but they kept their composure and scored again. They will never win the title vs this city side but they look better than liverpool, ManUre and tbh us for most of the season so far. Can definitely see them make top 4.

Great game overall apart from the conversion rate. We finally appear to be clicking into gear. GP's gamble to rest some players paid off, hopefully Thiago is not injured tho. That being said the opponent was extremely poor, we should have won by more but we simply are not a clinical side, esp if we leave our recognised strikers on the pitch. Broja made quite a differene when coming on. Absolutely ecstatic for him to score, his goal was amazing as well, powerful, inch perfect shot. The ref really tried to shaft us today, not even booking Matheus for all his nasty kicks and petulant behaviour was just laughable. As was that ridiculous offside on the goal, he was not even close to the offside line as any sane individual could have seen at night.

so we've basically had one every year since the 90ies^^
-
we have had several massive overhauls in the last few years. we need 2-3 players who can actually finish up front
-
we are so incredibly wasteful its comical. The one thing i am not confident gp will ever improve us at
-
It is weird but there are rumours he was requested by TT who knows him well while GP has no use at all for this type of player. So we mighty only see him as a last resort option. Which is a shame cos I remember him as a top 3 dm in bundesliga. He only cost 3m to loan and is on relatively low wages.

diego costa returning to the bridge as well i see wolves have quite a number of starters out as well
-
Interesting thing with these potter selection is always. this could be a 3-4-3, a 4-3-3 and at a stretch even a 4-2-2-2 with minimimal positional adjustments. But today i expect us to play this as a 3-4-3 most likely
-
now that is probably our 1b team with a lot of big guns rested. Let's hope it is enough
-
Yeah bc there is a 200m rc for any club
-
Esp the German candidates in question tend to come from clubs with a record of unearthing and developing great talent and doing so under financial constraints within sustainable business models which is encouraging the belief that the owner know what they are doing in this regard at least
-
Yeah right bc Bayern never buy players they don’t need… no srsly, the play 4231 or 4222 with false nine and/or second striker musiala Müller Start start as no. 10s in behind usually , ofc all front 4 or 5 interchange during the game nkunku would compete vs Gnabry and mane mostly for the nominal 2 positions up front
-
According to Bayern insider we fended off heavy interest from fc Bayern when securing the nkunku deal, prevailing vs an other European heavyweight for a change
-
What a relief. I think he will profit greatly if he isn’t called up for the wc. Fit and rested working with gp December should help him massively
-
I guess they will hire lopetegui tmrw not sure if he will be at the sidelines but I guess it could make the wolves game an even cagier affair than anyway
-
If it's an ACL which it looked like he is out for the season. Let's we have him well ensured.
-
i mean we will surely concede but that miss was comical from them. so lucky
-
sterling is so unclean. I mean he is fast so sloppy touches can happen but his technique has not really improved from his liverpool days. anyway too early to label him a flop
-
that could be an ACL. Typical mechanism on the rotation. His previous injury was a broken leg... not sure wether it is the same leg but different injury
-
A signing like the Sterling one. great player, goalscorer but not a real cf and also not a left footer. Still delighted he will improve our quality in depth and add even more pace being one of the fastest players in Bundesliga. Surely either Kai or Pulisic have to make way tho next summer.
-
could also be good given how negative Lage is and how we struggle against deep busses.
