lavezzi is by far their most dangerous player. i've always hated playing against him. already undid us in that night in napoli
-
cavani best defender ever. when we have to make the play we really struggle. Could have really used mata here
-
PSG are diving all the time and the ref is doing them the favour
-
that attempted block was a joke. if you dive you have to close to the player. amazing skill tho
-
comical defending really. this is an uphills truggle now

Mou is going for the draw here. In Germany there is a saying that the French war flag would be white lily on white ground...

Funny we got 4 centre backs and 4 AMs in the lineup. Hopefully we get no injuries to any of those. I don't know too much about their mdifielders, but hopefuly, Oscar drops back enough to help us win the midifeld battle cos without him it will be 2 vs 3 all the time. Shame Matic is not playing he would fuckin own them.

I really like Barbara's point that whoever wins it deserves it. Which would be true in most cases. Whoever wins all of the remaining matches or even drops less than 4 points in that schedule is the rightful winner. People say we lost the leageu vs Aston, Villa. But that is not true, we lost it against WBA, where we should have won at least once, against Stoke and Everton away and some more. The thing is, this is the Premier League an regardless of yesterday with its freakish results, this is the best league in the world, cos a team like us slippping up so oftern against minor teams is not just due to our inability to kill games, every team has its weaknesses but because in England, every team has the hunger and the will to punish you for those. In Germany, most teams regard it as an "honour" to play against that Bayern side and roll over before the game even starts. In Spain and in Germany most games against the top sides are forfeits from the smaller teams. Losing against Villa away is no shame, even though it was unnecessary. Though it is testament to the quality of the league more than anything else

If those are easy games, then all games are easy, cos Anfield, Emirates, Trafford and Goodison are literally the hardest places to go for us and City. I can see them dropping points twice, but that would take a slight decline in form and for us to win the title we still have to win all of our matches, which is even less probable. What we need to win the title (cos we will at least drop points once, that is inevitable with our sloppiness, is a major decline of City like Pellegrini folding under pressure, getting his tactics all wrong and Yaya, Kompany and all of their strikers to have an off day on more than one occasion. Pellegrini has never won a major trophy. There needs to be a reason... So if i counted right, two draws and 5 wins to come. With that record we will surely not win the league. It would need City to drop 8 points.

I remember in the beginning of the season I wrote I'd love us to thrash teams like Arsenal to strike fear in any opposition and someone told me under Mourinho, we would not play offensive enough in the big games. Today we surely did and what a historical day it became. Love how the ball ox touched would have gone wide and how he crashed into the ground after wards. That really is selfless dedication, even though in vain. Or maybe he just wanted to be on the pitch in that debacle any more.

I can see City dropping points once, maybe tiwce, but that's it. Only if both Merseyside clubs hold them, cos at least one of Arsenal and Utd will just fold. Though, I am convinced if we win every remaining match, we will be Champions. City got to play at the Emirates, Old Trafford, Goodison and Anfield. That travel log should demolish any sides title hopes. Their other fixtures are all at home bar one (vs Crystal palace) and against shit oppositions. Actually I don't worry about us at Anfield. I completely trust Jose in these kind of matches. i rather worry about away matches against middle-sized oppositons who can defend and counter or those fighting against relegation. Of those we got many. It's mainly a challenge of mental strength now.

After all those wasted chances we had to be clinical at once. Nice this happened in the match against Arsenal. The ref probably was told by his assistant to sent off the short black guy with the short hair.
-
Schürrle balances better with Hazard than Willian does, cos he is more direct and always opts for the most simple option, unlike Willian. who often squaders opportunities due to dwelling too long on the ball.

This is the kind of game we use to fuck up after such a glorious big point win vs le arse
-
Marco ahs settled in the game quite decently. Though he still has to regain that sharpness that made him stand out in preseason. Lewis Baker is rather quick for a CB

There is no way we will lose this match. I am confident we can pull off a convincing victory, with all our important players (esp, Eto'o, Hazard, Lampard, Azpi, -- in form. 3 points would reignite our title challenge, anything else would bury it, its the same with Arse, so a very intriguing fixture. With Ramires and Willian - who were not exactly convincing lately - out, the line-up picks itself: -----------Cech----- Iva--Cahill---JT---Azpi -----Lamps--Matic-- Schürrle-Oscar-Hazard ---------Eto'o----------- I love this lineup, cos it is a mixture of class talent (Eden, Schü, Azpi, oscar),experienced mega stars (Cech, JT, Eto'o, Lamps) and people in the best age for a footballer (Matic, Cahill, Iva), whilst of Arsenal players, there might be some quality but simply not the kind of permanent and potential class, we got. Honestly, in a big game, I would never ever trade one of our veterans against a younger player ala Podolski, Giroud, Kosccielny who never were and never will be the same class.

Shit Rvp out for Manchester derby. That could be a factor in the title race...or maybe not, cos Rooney - over the season - has been far more productive than him, and he playing as a striker with Mata behind him, might prove a different challenge than the rather classical centre forward Rvp is.

Given Atletico's interest in Torres and that they got one of the best goalie's of the world for 3 years for almost nothing, I think they should considerably lower their demand for Costa.

thanks for the stream. i just switched it on and saw van Ginkel. He gets subbed on just now.

To say his performance was just bad is a bit undifferentiated. The thing is all his actions were just incomplete. He interecepts a ball, then he plays a wayward pass, he tackles a ball, does not pass it fast enough and gets tackled himself, he skips 2 players and then shoots miles off target instead of passing to the completely free Schürrle. All that happened yesterday. He truly is an amazing athlete and we all know he can turn up for the big games with exquisite moments of technical brilliance. Without him we would not have won the CL and he also had some brilliant displays in big games vs the manchester sides over the last 2,5 seasons. Amidst all this bashing we shall never forget what he has done for us, even though he is out of form atm. If he was still young, he would be an amazing talent, but he is gonna be 27 in a week and should be at the peak of his powers now, but he has been a weak link this season, due to his inconsistency. That is why he can't be a future starter for, though IMO he could still stay, cos he is an valuable option and we need stability in the team. The question is, thoughit makes sense to have a guy whose main asset is that he literally needs no rest as a squad player. No doubt Lampard, can't play every week and LUiz is not a DM, but if Lampard would be able perform like he did today every time he is called upon, I'd play him next to Matic. IMO the perfect player for the pivot would be someone like Kovacic.

OUr final ball has been off, esp Willian and Ramires sucked in that aspect, our wastefulness has cost us this season but not today. hazard was impressive but no end product, eto'o and azpi with classic performances. The defence +Lamps were also impresive, very assured. Seldom have seen a display so dominant like before. Gala only had one incidental chance.
