I don't believe Jose's understatement he wnats the title and for that goal he failed the tactics today. We had chances even though we were shit. WBA were even worse. Still we are not able to grind out results like title winners should that is why we probably won't win it. Anyway, what is the point playing the same players over and over again? Hazard, Willian could have used a rest today. Schürrle, Ba surely would have been a more direct threat to WBA. You can't win those games without turning up at times and Hazard, Willian clearly did not have it in the tank today. With JT, this would not have happened, still we have to learn to win without him. Winning is what we still can't due to lack of goal threats and defensive alternatives but winning week in week out is what it takes to be there at the top in the very end. The worst thing about this, whilst we exhausted our most important players for a result, our B-side could have gained, City now have the incentive again and will get to their stride. It is an uphill struggle again.

That was a short revival of the title race. Been there and fucked it up once again. Hate it. Did not even take the first hurdle. Trying to defend a 1-0 lead in spite of vastly superior offensive players is BS
-
this was so coming. why don't we push for the 2nd? We surely got the players for it. Predictably we were to concede with only 10 men

Best possible lineup with the players available. We have to go out and kill them. I am convinced they will not park the bus against us and attempt to play which will play in our cards. Those follow-up wins are fuckin vital. We were not able to make our advantage count vs West Ham today it is kinda the same challenge again just against a very different opponent.

We had to get lucky one day. City were so poor, we obviously knocked them out of their rhythm, or its just the loss of Agüero. We only have to win at Anfield, which will be difficult enough + see off Arsenal, which IMO should be a routine win for us considering Arsenal's poor (away) form in big matches.

I wonder where Jose's "little horse" talk is going now. Surely we can go the distance now, even though City remain favourites IMO. What an amazing matchday, but what an amazing game. So glad we put those dirty magpies to the sword and what a game by Hazard. After that performance vs city it was clear he would score once, but three times? Top10 player in the world without a doubt.

Results fell our way. Regarding the rest of ours, City's and Arse's fixture list, we have a very good situation for the title run in now.

top of the table, city game is over, we stand tall
-
salah has one of the worst first touches in the team
-
Like the seahawks's one It also was sufficiently good when playing the best offense in the league

This time we wipe the floor with these cunts.

Who would you sign to lead the line at Chelsea?
Magic Lamps replied to Melanicus's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Cavani would be my favourite but we won't get him. It is astonishing that these days there are so few world class strikers available at a fair price. Our 30m Shevchenko deal in 2006 really opened the floodgates on striker prices. the most realistic target would clearly be Mario Mandzukic. i despise the guy, cos he is an ugly pussy who one usually finds whining on the floor after every contact, his tiny arms wrapped around his shitface, but he has really awesome workrate, is a decent finisher and has good linkup play + he is an awesome header of the ball. -
Willian's deliveries from both freekicks and corners have been pretty awful in the last couple of games. Oscar obviously has practiced, which is good cos he usually plays. The problem with both Luiz and Lamps is for every freekick scored they hammer 30 in the stands or in the wall. IMO you should always try to get them at goal, even if you know you can't score, so a deflection or a bad save from the keeper can still lead to a goal. Also one of our problems is that we got no left footed set piece taker any more. So Matic or Salah should learn to take freekicks. In general I am always surprised that professionals who get shitloads of money to practice playing football for years need dozens of tries to get some decent set pieces together. Even as an amateur I used to hammer one in the top corner once in a while. However I guess the pressure does indeed play a part. so I'd have Indirect long range free-kicks 30m+ Lamps Direct long range free-kicks 30m+ Lamps, Luiz Direct medium range freekicks 25-30 Luiz, Schürrle Indirect medium range freekicks Lamps, Close range direct less than 25m Oscar, Lamps Close range indirect Lamps, Oscar, Willian (if he gets his shit together) Corners Lamps, Oscar, Willian but as said above, anyone feeling confident about the kick should get a chance. Thing is, if you are no regular taker the pressure is even higher, so the players should communicate in advance. In general set pieces are something we really have to work on. Mata has left and Lamps will probably leave in summer, so our only natural set piece takers are gone,w e have to find new ones.

You are mistaken, Etoo ran about 8km, it was cech running 4,6 km, which is a lot for a goalie. Actually 8km is also a lot for a striker but no surprise considering he played like a winger most of the time.

Yeah, I also can't believe he is only 1 year my senior. I can't even grow a beard yet anyway I don't believe his passport is invalid or so. Look at Robben. he joined us aged 20 and already looked like being in his 30ies

Loved the irritated look on Vincunt Kompany's face after Ivanovic scored like saying "I can't do this"
-
Did he chose Spain. He is listed as being in the national team of Brazil here http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/diego-costa/profil/spieler_44779.html IIRC he debuted last year vs Russia at the bridge.

Too bad City got such an easy programm of late. We only can hope this has knocked them so hard, they lose their rhythm. Next week, Liverpool will play Arsenal and probably send City top. If we do not win next game, our victory at the Eithad was worth only a nice memory. We have to put them under pressure until they slip up.

Pellegrini sounds like a legasthenic reading out a Daniel Kehlmann scriptum in that interview. He literally had no answers. We could have rolled them over with a bit more of luck. We have to fight for that title, City just don't deserve it, losing twice to us.

i remember when mike dean did exact the same in a title decider vs manU
-
that is a red card. but just like any decision it goes in citys favour
