If our board would think like you we would never again get a sniff at the CL trophy. Loaning is a business without victims. The club get their investments, the agents their money and the players get an wageupgrade and the name of Chelsea on their CVs. and btw this already is our main objective. Mourinho himself admitted most loanees, most young players we buy will never play for us. I am so proud that we have established an unique laon-empire in world football. We should look to expand that and even buy players from other continents esp south america and loan them across europe. But given that we produce the best young player in the country obviously, why don't we give them a platform to shine and risk losing them for peanut. No can't blame him for not signing an extension. There are a few players in this team that are not even close to his level. We have a well balanced team with very good players in every position but only a few of those are worldclass, none of our attackers is. You would not see guys on the level of Oscar, Willian, Brana or Cahill anywhere near the starting lineup of Real Madrid (oscar might have the excuse of his tender age). If better players would have saved us today, I don't know but replace some of our fringe players with guys like Hummels or Reus we would probably be still a fair amount of points above City. Hazard is the level we should aim for. We might not be a club of the size of real Madrid but we should fight to keep him and not surrender to the notion of losing him to RM. We have the money to offer him the same salary, we compete for the biggest titles. All what it takes is for the club to show the ambition go in for the very top players. True we don't have the same funds Real or Bayern have, but no club generates so much income through loan fees and player trading as us. We should establish more club cooperations and trade an army of loanees every year.

There goes the top spot and we might never see it again if City countinue their run. This was always gonna happen. Apart from some isolated games we have been shit for quite a while now. We are unable to score more than 2 from more than 20 attempts per game. Our tactics today did not help but we need. We did never really get out of the sunderland-newcastle slump we just had a tiny bit more luck and our bad level of performance has come back to haunt us. I hope people now see we need some major reinforcement and we need them now if we want to win more than a carling or fa cup this season.
