WBA's performance vs ManCity was not even a capitulation, it was a Christmas gift. Amazing how poor they were. No wonder they only won 4 matches at home the entire year. But still not worthy of an EPL side, not even in the Bundesliga you would see such a forfeit. I would call that competitive distortion. Anyway, City did not play particularly well IMO. Their offensive moves are always the same, Fernando or Toure drives through the middle, passes to Silva, who distributes it to the flank, then there is a cross or a cutback and a cross. TBF esp Silva and Toure are good at what they do. Their individual class + the fact that teams roll over by the mere sight of those fuckin ugly light blue shirts will probably mean they'll probably miss out on 12 points max in 2015. Which makes it all the more important that we stay on our toes and smash them at home. Though, the way they had their squad shuffled by injury and also their opponent's evel of play has made them prone to defensive errors all season. Most teams are either too shit or too corrupted to take advantage of that, but against WBA they allowed at least 5 clear cut chances (not counting the goal). If those had fallen to a player with better aiming than Saido "I think the goal is 10 yards wide" Berahino , they would have conceded at least 3.

I always felt they suit us. They are a side that is proud of playing good football, which will play into our cards. Countering them out, we can give Oscar a rest and use Ramires. Also Schürrle, Salah and Luis can come in handy.

Very solid win once again should have been more clincial especially after the 2nd but who cares. 3 points is all that counts. Ivanovic and esp Willian were frustrating. Wonder whether Schürrle and Luis would add more in there positions. Can't believe we got another match in less than 48 hours. Mou must rotate otherwise we will struggle due to fatigue.

Miss it too. Nothing better than a nice powerful 30yard screamer or a powerful towering header. But football has changed you simply see less of those screamers these sides. Even though some guys like Ronaldo, BAle, Robben are still there. They are also good example why you can do both, dribbling and shooting. I am pretty sure Schürrle, Oscar and even Fabregas will recover some of their prowess from range, but not with the consistency our former collection of all-round midfielders displayed. IMO Willian's position should be taken by someone who is capable of producing that direct threat.
